The place was pretty dingy and had some questionable people loitering in and outside the business which didn't bother me but I by the looks of it, some people knew better than me than to stick around after getting their orders The nice cashier was getting chastised loudly and aggressively by who I imagine is the manager or owner. Maybe that's a Chicago thing idk? Lol None of that would've truly bothered me if the food was good but I was unimpressed. Chicken and fish didn't have much seasoning to care for, but luckily I had some "mild" sauce to make it more tolerable. It's funny because this is a Chicago staple but since this experience, I've tried Harold's in Atlanta and found it so much better. That's ironic

They fry to order, so you might wait a bit for your freshly fried chicken. You get to choose one flavor seasoning powder to go with your chicken. My friend and I got the spicy seasoning, which was a nice addition. While the chicken cutlet was well cooked, I noticed they did cut it open to check if it was cooked. I'm glad they made sure, but I hope they can improve their frying skills so this isn't necessary. Alternatively, at least a food thermometer would make a smaller hole. They're sharing a space with Tiger Sugar, so you can order chicken from the same counter that you order boba. I would come back for the cutlet if I wanted a big snack or a light meal!

I ordered the plum flavored chicken cutlet for about $12 - $13. The flavor was good, although I wish the chicken was a little juicier. My biggest gripe was how small the cutlet was though, for $13 I'm used to getting much bigger and thicker cutlets, but the size of this was underwhelming to say the least. I felt like I wasted my money.

Sandwiches (7.5/10): The buffalo chicken sandwich had a bit of a kick as you worked through it. If you like buffalo this gets the job done. The honey butter chicken sandwich was the milder sweet counterpart for those who enjoy more subtle flavor. Overall for the sandwiches in general you definitely notice the quality of the tenders. They are white meat so give you that healthier vibe. What makes it better is that bc they are tenders the meat doesn't feel as dry. There's two pieces so more surface area for sauce and flavor to the meat than if it were once giant chicken breast. The buns were pretty standard. The one area of improvement I'd like to mention is there could be more coleslaw. Especially with something like the buffalo sandwich with a stronger flavor, you couldn't really taste the coleslaw and get that refreshing balance you need with the spice. Also for those who love crispy these tenders are not so crispy. Seeing the quality of the chicken tenders I'd like to try the other items besides the sandwiches on the menu. The fries were very good. They are similar to Popeyes Cajun fries in terms of texture and feel when you eat them. Mileage may very with the sogginess from delivery. Value (7/10): standard fair pricing

Fries were perfectly hot and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Will definitely be ordering again!
