My family rented a stretch limo for a marriage license celebration day for my fiance and me, and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience. I can't say enough good things about our chauffeur, Maria, as she made the day perfect in every way. My mom uses a walker and has mobility issues, and Maria made sure that she accommodated her every need and kindly helped her in and out of the car. It was a long day and covered a long distance, as well, as Maria picked up my parents from Claremont, my fiance and myself from Glendale, and drove us all to the Beverly Hills courthouse, and then all the way back again. Maria handled the crazy LA traffic, drivers, and even the twists and turns of Mulholland Drive like a pro (she must have been a pilot in a past life), and our ride was the smoothest imaginable. She also kindly accommodated our requests and even some last-minute adjustments to the schedule with the utmost grace. I also really appreciated how intuitive she was in taking care of my mom who needs a lot of physical support, and even caught before the rest of us that my mom was dehydrated after being outside in the sun for a while, and ensured she got some water. I wanted to rent a classic car for my teenager to arrive to the prom venue in since she is a big fan. I searched online for local classic limousines and found Byrd Limousines (who is the under the same umbrella as Claremont Vintage Limousines in Rialto so they have the same vehicles). I sent a price inquiry four weeks prior to the event including all the details to the text phone number listed on their Instagram bio and website and spoke to Shelonda over the phone who was pleasant from the start. She made the process quick and easy, including offering mobile payment options which made it even easier to pay the deposit due to make the reservation and eventually the balance the day of service. Based on the options available, I ultimately decided on a 3-hour rental (which includes the driver) and it was more than enough time for the ride there and photos of my teen with the vehicle (note: the 3-hour rental includes travel time for the vehicle to return to their lot which was disclosed from the start, so keep that in mind). I was able to text Shelonda with any questions I had and was promptly responded to. Then on the day of service we met our driver, an older gentleman by the name of Mark, who arrived way before our start time and was also very friendly. He confirmed his arrival via text, rolled out a little red carpet for us to get into the vehicle, offered some snacks and beverages (soda/water) adorably stored in a picnic basket, then asked what music we'd prefer to listen to on a Bluetooth speaker until we agreed on oldies. We chose the yellow Ford Phaeton convertible with the roof closed but it doesn't have windows (this was also disclosed from the start) and for a 45-minute freeway ride, we knew it wasn't the best idea before a major event due to wind but we used a throw blanket to protect the hair and makeup and all was well and definitely entertaining. We arrived safely and on time, and Mark was accommodating every step of the way, asking how we were doing during the drive, and even with moving the vehicle since the venue did not want it stationed near the entrance. Mark happily drove around the roundabout and parked in different spots for the photoshoot we booked and even offered to assist with opening the door as part of the photo ops. He was so kind and so pleasant. He answered questions regarding the vehicle and his personal experience, making everyone (including family that drove in a separate car) feel comfortable which was no surprise due to his warm demeanor. We finished the photoshoot a little early which meant we had the vehicle less than 3 hours but that was no bother. It was not cheap by any means but the investment was worth it because of the service and the once in a lifetime memories I was able to create for my child. Life is short and it should be enjoyed. Fabulous experience that met all of our expectations! I found this company on the web since they were close to where I reside. Plus, I saw the white Rolls Royce for our daughter's wedding. I wanted to surprise her and her groom with something other than the usual stretch limousine. I called and spoke with Shelonda. From the initial call, she met every expectation I needed to make me feel comfortable with her company. I explained I had reservations, considering I had used sub-par limo companies in the past. They promised to send a top of the line limo; unfortunately a bucket of bolts had arrived at our home to pick us up. Shelonda completely understood my reservations, but she went over and beyond her responsibilities, as a business owner, to put me at ease. She was patient and respectful while wanting to make our daughter's wedding beautiful and the best experience possible. She was thoroughly knowledgeable about the limo we were interested in renting. If that wasn't enough, she invited me to inspect it to be sure I was completely satisfied without any hidden costs. The cost of the rental of the Rolls Royce was very comparable, if not cheaper, than other companies who had quoted me for a similar type vehicle. Based on the above, I decided to use this company. Sadly, a family member became ill and couldn't attend the event. They lived reasonably close to the route between the church and reception venue. I called Shelonda and explained the circumstances. I asked if the limos driver could drive the bride and groom and stop briefly at our family member's home to surprise them since they weren't able to see the bride/groom in-person. Shelonda's exact words were, "It would be shameful if we didn't achieve this for your loved ones!" She approved and made the arrangements with the limos driver. When the driver (Mark) arrived for the event, he was already aware of what had been previously arranged and approved with Shelonda. Mark was very kinda. He arrived early and rolled out the red carpet. He cleaned the area around the limo to be sure the photographs were exemplary. He even used a handheld blower to blow the street and sidewalk. The setting was so beautiful that passerby's were stopping to take photographs while offering congratulations to the bride and groom. Mark was very kinda and made it a great experience for the bride and groom. He had sparkling cider available for the drive. When he stopped at our family member's home, he was patient and told the bride and groom to take as much time as they needed. I realize this is a lengthy post, but I want everyone to understand that we were completely satisfied with this company. We certainly intend to use them again. Art picked us up at Ontario Airport on 10/16/25 to take us to the Queen Mary, and Ian handled our return from the cruise port to LAX on 11/1/25. I've used this limousine service 7 times and have had 4 different drivers--2 women and 2 men. All of them have been friendly, prompt, and patient. Melvin, my driver the last two times, has had the unfortunate task of driving me to the Forest Lawn Covina Hills Cemetery to visit my mother's grave both times. Like all of the Byrd drivers, he comes not just on time but a few minutes early, lets me know he has arrived, and encourages me to take my time. He's also pleasant during the ride and (like the other drivers) patient. If I'm still breathing and he's still driving in December, 2024, I hope he'll be able to take me to the cemetery to deliver a poinsettia to my mother's grave, which I plan to do annually until I join her. read more

Our driver arrived a little late. She took the long way coming home. Then when we tried to give her quicker directions she didn't follow them and made several wrong turns. All of this extend our time and put us over our time allotment costing us extra money. She gave one set of rules on the way to our destination and a completely different set of rules for our ride home. She didn't allow us to control anything on the way home. (Lights, windows, AC, radio). Rather than fuel up while we were at dinner she waited to stop on our way home. We took our 5 year old son with us. She told him he had to settle down because he was laughing to loud. When I called to voice my concerns the lady I spoke with was so much more concerned about defending her driver than listening to me that she even lied to protect her driver. She later changed her story which when the lie became known. She dominated the conversation and I had a very hard time finishing any point I tried to make. We have rented limos before and thrown parties in them. 1 laughing kid was too much for these guys. If you want to have fun use someone else. PS. After reading some of these reviews I am sure I will get a response from them blaming me and taking no responsibility in the lack of customer service we received. read more

My husband and I hired Byrd Limousine Service for our wedding this past January because we wanted a vintage car to go with our vintage wedding theme. We rented the 1965 Princess Rolls Royce and it was absolutely beautiful, came out great in pictures and we got so many compliments on it! I felt like royalty riding in the car to our ceremony while people honked and waved. The inside was comfortable, clean and roomy perfect for a wedding dress. Our driver was very punctual (actually early) picking us up at our hotel. He was very nice and had great customer service, offering us water bottles and complimentary champagne. We rented the car for 3.5 hours. We went a little over the expected time during our photography session but the driver politely informed us we were approaching end of service beforehand and we made the choice to go over our time with the limo by 30 minutes. DON'T DO IT!!!!!! ESPECIALLY IF IT IS FOR A WEDDING!!!! IF YELP GAVE NEGATIVE STARS THEY WOULD HAVE 5. I hired Byrd Limo because of the style vehicle and referral from another classic car service I wanted, but was booked. I should have done my homework first! I set a pre arranged time and sent in the credit card authorization and all information was confirmed with Shalonda, or so I thought. Let me set the day... Two days prior to the wedding my best man confirms with all my vendors their arrival times and confirmation they will be on time and confirmed they had the address. He also advised for any concerns contact him directly on the day of the wedding as I would not be available and he would handle any concerns. (Great Best Man!) Shalonda confirmed time date and place. Day of the wedding I am at the Chapel nervous as heck when my best man gets a text from Shalonda at 1:29pm saying "We're having car trouble and thought we would be leaving the mechanic shop at 12pm, replacement part was bad and am waiting on another one. It will be to late before we arrive to the chapel. Our travel time to the chapel is 1.5 hrs. How late can the car arrive?" YES this was received only moments before I was to go into the chapel to get married. Byrd Limo was suppose to be at the chapel at 2:15 so she waited until 45minutes prior to arrival to tell us the vehicle was broken down and has been in the shop since 12 noon????? My best man advised me of this text, I kept my cool and advised 2:45 a vehicle needed to be there. We are now lined up to walk down the aisle when my best man gets another text from Shalonda and he scans it quickly and tells her he told me and to keep him updated on her status and quickly puts the phone away lines up as the wedding started. All our guests are now gone to go to the cocktail hour my husband and I were not a part of, as we were suppose to be in the Byrd classic car going to scenic locations by the ocean and then joining our guests at the reception and hour later. At 2:50 my best man was calling Shalonda and getting voice mail and no answer as he was driving my parents to the cocktail hour. He then texts her and finally finds out from her, "No we sent the vehicle back to the shop, since it would not make your latest time of 2:45. We are 1.5 hrs from you. You gave a cut off time of 2.45pm and we could not make that time with the distance so it couldn't happen. I asked if I should text him and you said you told him the circumstances." (Hope you all get the picture) YES 3pm and my husband and I are standing there with no transportation!!!!! The Chapel's wedding coordinator is now asking us to leave because she has another wedding but WE HAVE NO CAR, NO TRANSPORTATION and ALL our guests are gone! We had to have my new brother in law come pick us up in his KIA rental and drive us. Get back from honeymoon and call Shalonda to give her a chance to explain and all she did was dominate the call with well I'm sorry but I shouldn't have even been talking to your best man because you set this up. i have done this for 20 + years I am sure you weren't stranded, and I have found in the past if I offered another car people don't want it, they want the car they hired and I tried to deliver that.
