Ten minutes later another random guy shows up saying he's from the same company to change the lock ! He immediately had an attitude and said that we scheduled this with him !! We called the company and got a complete run around . We asked the person to describe the correct technician and she said she could not ! So this piece of garbage company just sent 2 random men to our home !! Waiting for call back from manager, which I doubt will happen . Don answered the phone and could hear panic in my neighbors voice. Don explained that the electronics in the unit start to go and begin to eat batteries. Wow! It was agreed that a new unit was needed. Don requested a text photo of the existing unit and responded that they had one left on the shelf! Within minutes Don was there! He replaced the old unit and programmed it perfectly for use. Top notch materials and labor! Not to mention his many years in the business with a local family owned shop that has been here for many years! And if Don doesn't come out you may get one of the owners to service you! Yeah, they're not afraid to get their hands dirty! A reasonable $94 service call to come out, and labor and materials was "expensive" but hey, we are living in horrendously inflationary times (2024) and you know to live in New Jersey is not for the faint of heart nor weak of pocketbook! Shortly after delivery I noticed a small hole opening up in the front so I took off the inside panel and found a drill hole. From the outside this hole was filled just enough so it could not be seen but moving the safe made it start to break up. Had there been a fire the heat would have incinerated the very things I sought to protect. I bought a TL30 safe to protect these things that I have now had to put back into a safe storage location. I did not want to have to leave reviews like this, I asked them to return my money and take the safe back but they said yeah it's drilled but it's OK because it's drilled over here not over there. Drilled is drilled! They wanted to fill the hole in again which obviously didn't work the first time, saying, this is how we do it. When I refused they tried to charge me another $800.00 to remove what never should have been sold to me in the first place. Noone drills thru 1.75 inches of solid steel for no reason, they sold me a safe that someone had gotten into. Now I'm forced to deal with a lawyer and go to court, not what I signed up for especially with a company that you need to be able to trust because they have to set the combination on those type of safes.
