We wanted to support a local family owned business and after seeing all the positive reviews we decided to give Buxton Blinds a try. We did a get a quote in a timely manner, but it did not include warranty information for product and installation, payment terms and an estimate for completion of the job. I asked the sales person for this and she replied that the office manager would send it to me. I was especially concerned because the salesperson told us we would have pay all the money up front and I wanted some kind of written guarantee that the job would actually be completed. After waiting five days and even sending a reminder text to the company owner, I informed them that we would not be doing business with Buxton Blinds. In a sense this was a blessing in disguise because we got a better and lower quote with all the information I wanted and we do not have to pay anything up front until the job is completed in 3-4 weeks. I am leaving two stars because the salesperson communicated well and showed genuine concern. Also their lack of response made us find another and better company. read more

First, the fact that the company is family based was a plus. Dad did the quote and son did the installation. Very nice family. Well, the blinds are great and serves the purpose. It was a difficult installation that was declined by Graber and Buxton made it look easy. The only issue is the lead time between quote and installation. Andrew met my husband and I before we moved into our newly built home for window dressings as the developers didn't include it with the sale so we went outside of their contractors.
