I have no qualms about the bagels, but a second visit to try the evening burger pop-up balanced out my experience (topping at 4-stars). The wait is long, so why not try dessert first (Tin Cup around the corner) and grab a copy of Mountain Town Magazine while posting up in the cozy timber chairs. The Butte Burger (Thousand Island-style house sauce makes it) is classic Smashburger style, although a little dry. Tots with Cajun seasoning are addictive (once you pop, you can't stop!), but also fried on the dry side... is this a sauce conspiracy? Plenty of ketchup, ranch, and house sauce to go around.
We tried butte bagels before closing day and it was pretty good! We wish the bagel was a bit more toasted- but the sandwich was solid. No coffee sold here so make sure you get a cup somewhere before stopping in! The bagel was flavorful and filling. we shared one bagel which was more than enough.
This is a must stop for breakfast in Crested Butte. I love all of their unique bagel flavors and they have so many good sandwich options. This visit, my husband and I shared a Fletcher Bagel Sandwich on a Pretzel Cheddar Bagel. It was huge so I'm glad we split it. The flavors were great. I wish it had cream cheese on it though, so next time I'm adding cream cheese to my sandwich. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Crested Butte!
Front of house is hilarious and cute. You can call ahead (would recommend during busy season). Took 33 min but also was mid October and was worth the wait. Bagel was huge and delicious. Would wanna try a plain cinn raisin w cream cheese next time
Wow! This was one of the most delicious bagel sandwiches I've had. There will most likely be a long line when you come here, but trust me, it is SO worth it. I got The David - Two eggs, grilled onions, avocado, greens, shredded carrots, honey mustard, and a latke on a bagel. Latke on a bagel? You can't go wrong. The honey mustard sauce was also really good and paired really well with the veggies. I was licking my fingers clean!
Amazing bagels! Not too crazy priced. Went with the East Coaster. Great size and just so flavorful. You can't go wrong!
This place rocks. I ordered the hippy with bacon and it was the perfect breakfast sandwich. Tried the slap & tickle as well and it was equally good. This place is unique and cozy and is serving some pretty awesome bagel sandwiches.
Great place for a quick breakfast/lunch. They have a large selection of bagel sandwiches, both breakfast and beyond. On my first visit I got the East coaster with a latke on a jalapeño cheddar bagel, love when places have latkes on the menu! The sandwich was hearty and nice and cheesy. On my second visit I tried the Slap-n-Tickle, more of a deli style turkey sandwich, which was delicious! Very fresh ingredients on a Pretzel bagel. As a current East coaster the bagels weren't the best in the world, but bagel sandwiches tasted great none the less.
Delicious, soft and chewy bagels with the perfect amount of crisp. Three in my party. Two raved about their breakfast sandwiches. I went a little non-traditional with the Erika (veggie cream cheese, bacon, and cucumber) on an onion bagel. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Quick and friendly counter service.
Dang good bagel place!! There is always a line out the door but the wait isn't terrible and it's absolutely worth it. The workers are so nice and vibes are great! If you're trying to get your first choice bagel I would recommend getting there closer to opening as the run out of specific choices but still have multiple options.
Wow. Just wow. Saw some folx walking down the street with bagels and knew I needed some for myself, so my husband and I came here for lunch on a Sunday. Since it was later in the day many flavors were sold out which I'm incredibly bummed about as I wanted to try so many! The Cheddar Pickle was a particular standout. Alas, what we had was still incredible. I ordered an everything bagel with the "Nicole" - egg, cream cheese and lots of veggies. Easily the best bagel sandwich I've had in a long while. My husband had their take on a Reuben with a sesame bagel and devoured his. The place is very small but I enjoyed the vibe. We had no issue procuring a table and given bagels aren't a huge time consumer, I imagine turnover is quick enough many who wish to can eat there. Large groups may be more challenging, though there is some outdoor seating. Overall, an exceptional spot and one I will continue to eat at whenever I'm in the area
Had a great breakfast this morning! Stopped by before skiing for a pretzel everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. They had 2 types of cream cheese (veggie and plain) and a variety of breakfast sandwiches. No line on a Monday and quick and fast service. Entrance can be a bit hard to find, google maps shows it in an "alley" but you can enter through Elk or park around the corner and walk over.
I wanted to stop by here last time we were in this area, but they ended up closing before we could make it in. This time we happen to be talking to our bartender at a local distillery about where to get some good burgers and they mentioned that Butte bagels had recently begun serving burgers into the late night and were the latest thing in town. We decided to give it a try and we were so glad we did ! It's the tiniest place ever, so quaint inside and the building is definitely very old. About five people can be in line before you have to take it outside and around the building, there's a couple two seater tables inside and a few more large wood style chairs outside surrounding one coffee table Not much seating overall for the amount of foot traffic this place was getting on a Friday night. We ordered our smash burgers, which were very reasonably priced, and all of them come as a double patty situation. The burgers were delicious, such an unexpected no-frills experience that felt so authentic and lovely that it was just right. The burger is served in an aluminum paper wrapping and there are no fries, but the burger shines. We also loved the merch they had, our favorite shirts are comfort colors brand which are high-quality and generally have different designs on the front and back - we were so excited to see that this place had those type of shirts, with a unique and colorful doodle of their restaurant on one side and crested Butte and their name on the other. For only $28, both my boyfriend and I ended up getting one. The shirts are adorable. The place is small and so the food takes a little while to come out, We even tried to come back the next morning to try the bagels, but the line was so long out the door of the building that we gave up and ate somewhere else. Can't wait to come back again for breakfast !
It turns out one of the top 5 bagel places in Colorado is in the beautiful town of Crested Butte. Not a NY bagel but very good by Colorado standards. This is the kind of bagel place that would be a regular stop for me if it were in Denver. The bagels smell like bagels and are perfectly seasoned with a nice, chewy texture. It's expensive no doubt about it, but the sandwiches are massive so you get what you pay for in my opinion. The lines are often long here, but if you have some time to kill it's worth checking out. The staff are also really cool and friendly. read more

Very cute little independent bagel shop. There's normally a line so go early. Tons of parking around the area and easy to find off the main strip. There were tons of options. It was very filling and had lots of flavor. I thought it was a bit overpacked for my liking and left me feeling heavy. They did get my order wrong for the bagel type, which was fine but double check before heading out. Staff were friendly and helped answer my questions. read more

Such a cute & cozy shop, perfect for a quick bagel for breakfast/lunch, or burger for dinner (our favorite). Everything is made fresh and the young team are always friendly and accommodating. read more
So darn good. Was in the area for a couple days and was looking for some quick vegan options. I was SO impressed with the Tofu Bahn Mi on their special menu (PLEASE add it to the regular menu) - incredibly fresh, delicious flavors, they nailed the tofu. The bagels are amazing, chefs kiss. The shop is a super cute older house right off the main street, staff is so nice (loved the girls in the kitchen singing along to "Since You've Been Gone" and all the other pop songs today!). We went back each day for our two days and will be back each time we're in town. Can't wait to try the burger shop & their impossible burger next trip, too! read more
Delicious bagel options! Cute, tiny place to stop and get breakfast or lunch bagel sandwiches. We got lucky and there was no line on the Sunday morning we went! Service was so friendly and gave great suggestions. We got the Scotty and Mortimer- only thing I'd do different next time is add cream cheese to both! read more

I arrived at 930am knowing there would be a long line- saw around 30 people in front of me outside, and it ended up being around a 70 min wait. Totally get they are short staffed and make everything fresh, but still feel that is a long wait for bagels at a quick serve location. They also got our order wrong (gave us wrong bagel type) but because I didn't want to wait any longer I didn't ask them to re-do it The bagels were solid! Tried the lucid dream and maxwell bagels. I would come again if there was a shorter line, but for me the 70 min wait was probably not worth it while having limited time on vacation read more

3.5*; rounding up The toppings/fillings on sandwiches are excellent (mine came with a latke and fresh veggies including shredded carrots) but I thought the bagels were just okay; they were a bit doughy and lacked the chewy interior and crunchy shell that makes a great bagel. Overall it's worth going for the fillings as they make up for what to me was an average bagel. read more

Butte Bagels breakfast is a great start to the day! Tasty bagel sandwiches that will fill you up. So tasty that I went twice last week. The Lox bagel with cream cheese, tomato, onion and capers was amazing! Get an onion bagel! It's worth the Tic-Tacs later! There can be lines even early but they move quickly. I took this one home and ate it on my deck enjoying a lovely view. read more
We, two bagel snobs, stopped by on a Friday during the off-season and got two bagel sandwiches, the David and the Scotty. There was not a line when we ordered, and the wait was around 20 minutes. When we stopped by, most bagel varieties were sold out. Both sandwiches were large and scratched our bagel itch. The sandwiches were yummy, but if we came back, I think we would likely get more basic bagels (cream cheese, bacon/egg/cheese, etc.), as the bagels were a bit overpowered by the other ingredients. Prices are steep but not outrageous for CB! read more

We went on Memorial Day weekend around 8 AM and had maybe two people in front us. Bagel was pretty good. Felt like I expected more with all the hype and people willing to wait hours for bagel sandwiches. Wouldn't say the customer service is great. The cashier spoke zero words to us. Very small on the inside with all tables full, so we just took ours to go. read more
