Coffee lab is a nicely located little coffee shop just north of mt. Crested butte on the way to some of the hikes up there eg rustler's gulch. There is a spicket near the portapotties to the left of the visitor's building that is adjacent to coffee lab so you can use the bathroom/refill water bottles there. I ordered a golden milk with lavender flavor bc I was curious; I didn't taste the lavender really but the golden milk was nice. The barista was also friendly, and there are a couple tables inside you can sit and a few picnic tables out front. read more

Great prices for a ski village and great coffee. Ordered a drip and they offered oat milk for free (not all coffee shops will). Had a nice selection of sweeteners and simple syrup at the help yourself bar to customize your drink. $2.75 for a drip coffee is a steal. Also grabbed up a $3.25 vegan tamale and it was delicious. I mean, I'd like 10 more. My husband, 11yo and I each shared a couple bites each. I'd order those again and again. Very cute interior and lots of options to buy grab and go drinks and foods. Even earrings and other local artisan items. Great vibes. Tucked away right next to the bus terminal area for the downtown shuttle. Lots of vegan offerings. I made a number of stops here during my short ski trip to Crested Butte. I was staying at nearby Grand Lodge and was able to walk here. Coffee Lab is located near the Base Area of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. I like that they open early and have later hours. I was able to come here early in the morning after opening. And then I made a couple of stops here for my late afternoon pick-me-up after skiing all day. The menu has all your basic coffee drinks with pastries and baked goods. They also have breakfast and lunch items. The coffee here is nice and smooth and the customer service was always great. Quiet, tastefully decorated interior, fit the mountain vibe perfectly. I got a London Fog with lavender and it was delicious. The prices were great, not jacked up like I've come to expect from a lot of Vail Resorts-adjacent businesses. The girl making my drink was calm and polite, and offered to refill my water bottle for me while I was there. On both visits, I went with a London Fog and had them turn it into a latte with Vanilla, Lavender, Honey, and oat milk - it was very good! While I didn't order any pastries, I loved that they offer a couple of gluten-free options - a GF banana nut bread and a GF glazed donut! The team member in the morning was more knowledgeable and a bit friendlier than the one in the late afternoon... but service overall was good on both visits. I wish the coffee shop itself was a bit larger with more seating, but we always found a table to sit and relax for a bit after getting our drinks! The place is cute and loaded with real plants! So that was really cool. Came here a few days ago and the coffee was amazing. Today we went and every drink we got was just plain wrong. My daughter got me a coconut milk latte and they didn't even add coffee to it. So it was frothed coconut milk! The Italian soda was nasty. She came home and added cranrasberry juice to it to make it drinkable. Then the chai tea was Not very chai. She added so much cinnamon it made it chunky. We tipped well too. We went here for breakfast before hitting the slopes, however, after seeing the prices and quality of the food (microwaveable packaged burritos, untoasted bagels with spread it yourself butter and cream cheese), we decided to just get coffee and stop for an early lunch instead. The drip coffee was alright, the mocha was good, and the apple cider was gross. The cider tasted as if it was made with unripe apples and was therefore really sour. The newest coffee shop in town! This coffee trader is a very modern coffee shop, with lots of indoor seating making it the perfect spot to meet up with friends or make it your new study spot. They also have a little conference room where you can rent out for meetings or a private study area. They also have a drive thru. When I was here I got the Mexican mocha and it was super good. This place is on the main floor of The Lodge at Mountaineer Square. Probably 100-150m from the lift so accessibility and location of this is a huge pro! I went a Saturday morning about 830am and the line was wrapped around the small store. There are a few small tables, so if you want to sit down and enjoy breakfast you may have to rethink that or snag the first one that becomes available. Despite the long line, it went relatively quick for being staffed by 2 people. Probably about 15 min spent in line. I got a plain cappuccino which had good flavor but pretty expensive for such a small cup. I also split a donut with my husband that was drizzled with chocolate and caramel. Everything you would expect/want in such a sugary treat. Overall, good but if you're an impatient or cheap person may reconsider. read more

Pretty unimpressed. First off, they had a guy who was training there working on a Saturday morning so just to get a simple coffee, it literally took 15 minutes after I waited in like for 20 minutes. The breakfast isn't made fresh there so you have to wait for them to heat it up in the microwave. The breakfast burrito was good but I would say you could get something for half the price at a grocery store and just heat it up. You don't have many options for when you need coffee in this area so I hope you go there at an off time? read more

Great place to start your day on the mountain. It's popular and usually staffed by one person so you have to be a bit patient at times. They have good quick breakfast options and hot drinks. Eating in can be tough since it's so small with only a few tables. It would help if patrons didn't "save" tables while they wait in line for 20 min when someone else could sit, eat, and be gone by the time their order was ready. A hidden summer treasure. Headed here on a holiday weekend instead of into town which had been overly crowded the past couple of days. But Coffee Lab ended up being a treat and not just an escape from the town crowds. Excellent coffee and really tasty breakfast burritos + a muffin to boot. Served by friendly staff in a really cool mountain cafe setting, with outdoor seating too. All the touches are great down to the custom ceramic plates and cups for to-stay orders. Brutal. 11am on a Sunday, place wasn't busy, Coffee dispenser was empty, had to wait for more to be brewed. Cream container empty. Counter dirty. The dude w/ the bald head was so slow and unpleasant.
