Came two times for gelato and would've done a third day but was too full that time. First time had a pistachio and dark chocolate which were both very rich and great quality. Second time was mint and coffee. The mint was average but coffee was good. Also had the cookies and cream which was very very good. Service is fast, efficient and organized. Staff can be robotic when it is very busy but overall was fine. Highly recommended if you're seeking dessert. Two scoops ran a little over $10 but it seems more like a 3-4 scoop size wise. read more

Good gelato and a nice mix of flavors. Each scoop comes with a small chipper cookie, and adding a cone is less than a dollar. The espresso gelato had ice crystals in it, and so I worry that the less popular flavors sit for a while. read more

Paradise Bakery is an Aspen institution and for good reason! The service and food quality is top notch. I visited during a hot day and the Gelato hit the spot. They even give you a small cookie with your gelato. Their baked goods are fantastic as well. They have a varied selection of cookies all of which looked delicious. Without hesitation, I head over to the Paradise Bakery for some fresh delicious food. After finding street parking, I stroll over to the bakery and stand in line with all the other hungry customers waiting patiently to put in their orders. There's cold water available to quench my thirst while I'm ordering a small ham and cheese quiche ($6), an ice brew of medium size coffee ($4.80), and a fresh chocolate chip cookie ($2.50). There's an abundance of different kinds of cookies piled high to choose from. There's no inside seating but there are plenty of benches outside to eat and watch other people enjoying their food. Every time we come to Aspen we always make a trip to Paradise! There is always a line out the door (for a good reason). The line moves fast and you are never waiting for too long. They have lots of ice cream flavors and baked goods to choose from! The ice cream is served with a little cookie on top. They had dairy free options for our son who is allergic to dairy. I appreciated that they were thoughtful and did not put a cookie on top of our sons ice cream when we told them he had an allergy (no one wants to have to take a cookie away from a 3yr old). So I didn't actually order anything but wanted to say two things: this is one of the only coffee shops/bakeries I saw on the map that was open late (after 6p), and I popped by after dinner @7:30p on a Sat and the line/crowd was insaneeee so I left bc the line was too slow but obvs it's either really good or just the only option available bc omg that line!! Extremely rude staff. Do not come here if you're pregnant and want to make sure you don't consume raw egg or unpasteurized milk. I asked which of the gelato contained raw egg, as some do, and a woman rudely asked "what are you asking me??" I repeated myself and she said "yeah." I said "yeah, as in they they all do?" which can't be true because there were fruit based sorbets) and she said, "yeah" and then turned around and rolled her eyes. This suggests they do not care about their customers and do not train their staff to answer questions without being rude and condescending. My family always comes here when we visit Aspen. I am giving 5/5 stars due to their efforts with the small finishing touch: adding a small little cookie on top of the ice cream (without asking for it). I will always stop by here to grab a pastry some ice cream and coffee. The gelato here is so good, obviously, not as good as you would get in Europe, but that has to do with the milk difference in the US versus Europe. For the US, it's really good gelato. They have a lot of different flavors. I've never been disappointed, and I've been here six times. My phone never eats first here. I'm so excited every time. I told myself I'd get a little victory dessert the next day after the Aspen Valley Marathon. I stopped in to treat myself to their yummy gelato. I had half birthday cake and half Black Diamond Cookies & Cream. I loved the little cookie atop. The treats in the front case looked sooooo good! I wanted one of everything. Definitely returning on a trip in the future. Fast, friendly service. I didn't have much of a wait on the afternoon I went. I was in and out within 5 minutes and my order came up very quickly. This being my 4th visit to Aspen, 3rd in two years, maybe it's fair to say that I'm a regular patron of Paradise. There's definitely a reason why I have to make a stop here every time I visit, right? It's actually more than one reason! The gelatos are my summer favorites; there are usually more flavors that I was interested in than I could eat, so be sure to bring friends with whom you can share. I also really like their pastries, e.g. their scones and muffins. Recently I tried their cream cheese brownie -- I gulped it down after a couple hours on the ski slope. It was yummy though in retrospect it was a tad bit too rich. I was definitely filled with calories that lasted me through dinner. Lots of great flavors! We got to sample a few flavors from their selection. All were delicious. I ordered the fudge brownie shake and my hubs ordered the mint chocolate chip. We also had the blueberry gelato, which comes with a small cookie. It has an interesting tart and lemon flavor. You order inside, and they have a window outside where you can pick up your order.
