The pulled pork tasted like it had been boiled rather than slow-smoked. It lacked seasoning, depth, and any real BBQ flavor. The BBQ sauce didn't help much either--it tasted more like ketchup than a rich, tangy barbecue sauce and did little to elevate the meat. The ribs did have one redeeming quality: they were fall-off-the-bone tender. However, great ribs shouldn't rely on sauce to carry the flavor. The beauty of well-prepared BBQ ribs is that they're delicious on their own, with the sauce serving as a complement rather than a necessity. These ribs needed that extra help. The baked beans were another disappointment. They were bland, lacking the sweet, smoky, savory flavor profile that makes BBQ baked beans memorable. Considering the price of the meal, the sides felt especially underwhelming. In fact, KFC has sides that offer more flavor and satisfaction. Overall, the meal lacked the seasoning, smoke, and attention to detail that define great barbecue. For the price, I expected much more.

I ordered the burnt ends, potato salad, and curly fries. The burnt ends were flavorful and very tender. It was some juicy pieces of meat. I loved this so much! The potato salad is not the traditional cold potato salad. It was warm, but, it was well seasoned and the potatoes were soft. Yum! The curly fries with aoili sauce were crunchy! No fry was cold nor limp. Well seasoned. There was some pickled onions on the side to enjoy. I ordered the Blood orange spritz for my cocktail. For only $9 AND if was refreshing to sip on a warm dat!! I ended the last of my visit sipping on some Rombauer chardonnay. Which was 6 ounces for $10. Inside the restaurant there are plenty of tables, water station clean bathrooms, and very nice staff. The staff comes and checks in every so often if I need to order anything else. There's also patio seating. It was too warm for me that day to eat outside. I will make the plan to do so next visit! I had no complaints or issue. I ordered Ribs, brisket, links and chicken along with several sides. I took my wife and 3 kids to help devour this meal. Although the staff is friendly, the service provided was truely mediocre. During the ordering line, our family of 5 got completely ignored and I had to interrupt them to make sure they noticed we were in line. Our meats was served tepid, barely warm, even though they made us wait for the food like it was coming out the smoker. Our drinks weren't served with our order or called out that they were ready. The ribs were tough, probably due to the temperature and the rest of the meats were needing salt/seasoning. However, the best thing we got was the Rancho Gordo Beans and Greens which was absolutely delish. Even the kids denied the mac and cheese since it wasn't warm or hot. This might have been an off day for staff, but it wasn't a busy day and the owner was there greeting and serving food. Ribs and chicken were falling off the bone, brisket had a nice little chew, and the hot link was a lil spicyyyy. I was so full half way through! And the sides: mac n cheese, collard greens and potato salad were seasoned nicely. The chicken Philly cheese steak was bomb.com! The bread was soft, chicken seasoned mix and everything paired nicely. Not to mention the amount of French fries! My husband could only eat half! To top it all off, we got home and found that they gave us a butter cake and OMG, my husband and I were fighting over it. The restaurant is small, with a handful of tables inside and a few out front, but it has a rustic, comfortable feel. The employees were especially welcoming. They chatted with us, asked where we were from, and even wanted to know if we had a favorite BBQ place back home. While talking with them, I got the sense that they put a lot of thought into their food. They had three distinct sauces, and everything felt genuine rather than forced. I had heard about Alabama white BBQ sauce before but had never tried it, so ordering the Bama Chicken Sandwich was an easy decision. My partner got the ribs, and we shared a side of potato salad. The Bama Chicken Sandwich was a hit with both of us. The ribs were also excellent: tender, moist, and full of flavor. I've had a lot of BBQ over the years, and this was definitely some of the best. Great food, friendly people, and a place I'd happily return to.
