Love the feel of this place and the wait staff is very nice, but we went on an extremely busy day and it took 45 plus minutes to receive our food. I had the chicken and waffles which looked great, but the flavor just wasn't there. I do like their decent coffee which is definitely a plus when most places are trying to save money by serving horrible bean juice! lol We'll have to stop by for some breakfast another day when it isn't so busy and we can see what the cook actually has to offer.

Stopped by after seeing this restaurant on the road. It was confusing to find the main door and whether we had to seat ourselves or not. We flagged someone down to clean the table for us. The waitresses were nice and the food was ok. We had to ask two different waitresses for our utensils because the first one forgot. It's hard to mess up breakfast. It was good but I was not wow'd. I had the Cajun breakfast. The potatoes, some were soft others weren't cooked all the way through. They also needed more seasoning. The star of the plate was the sausage. I also had a short stack of pancakes on the side. The pancakes are large and buttery. My partner had the fried seafood plate. The crust was seasoned well. I like that they mix their cocktail sauce with a little horseradish to give it a little kick.

Haven't been in here in a while but I'm glad I did. It's a simple restaurant, you pick your seat and are served shortly afterwards. The staff is pleasant and the food comes out quick and hot. They weren't kidding when they said the full cinnamon roll was huge and for about $6 I was very pleasantly surprised. The dough of the cinnamon roll was good and moist. I wish the icing was a bit less thick but the flavors went well and it was a good addition to my cup of coffee. Overall, it was a great experience and we'll probably be back to try the rest of the menu.

So this place is like Cheers bar to my family in Pearland & I really appreciate the wait staff service but the food... ughh that's a whole different book all together. While visiting Pearland the 2 different weekends in the month of April I was subjected to eat here 3 times because in my family age beats out the taste of food, meaning when you are with family you only see a few times a year the places your elders choose to eat beat out where you choose because the company you are in is all that matters. That being said the busy bee must cater to mostly the elderly because they do not season their food at all. I mentioned this to my aunt who kept choosing this place, she laughed & said yes I can't have salt anymore... she proceeded to tell me her long list of other elements she has also then said that's why us old folk eat there. I did order a patty melt on the last day & that was pretty tasty. The wait staff is very nice. It does take a long time to get your food even though they seat you quickly which is odd. I really don't care for the food but my family seems to love it so I know I will be back.

They were unimpressive. They did produce a pleasant aroma, but the taste lacked flavor and personality. The fried mushrooms were ok and I ate quite a few (lol). I also had the fries that were supposed to have seasoning. If it did I couldn't taste it, and I am all about flavor. Basically, I had bland fried food. I think it would be a good idea to sample the menu during happy hour. That way you're only out five dollars per item versus the full menu price. Oh, would be remiss if I didn't let you know that the barbecue ranch dipping sauce was very good and unusual. I suggest you try it when visiting. The atmosphere is laid-back and the service is reasonable. Overall, I expected more from Willie G's but it is what it is. Can I recommend this restaurant? Yes but mostly during happy hour. GN3

Cheese Willy: At first it was a punch of flavor and pretty good. However, then I realized the other side of the burger was pretty soggy. The meat tasted a little funky too. The fries that came with the dish tasted good and fresh. However, a bit too salty.

The food was okay nothing really stood out. I tried the brown butter scallops, and they just tasted like oily scallops. Not too much flavor, but they were cooked nicely. I also tried their avocado tuna taco, and those were a bit weird. The flavors and texture weren't it for me. The inside was kind of mushy, but it did have a hint of yuzu sauce, which made it tolerable. Next, I tried the gumbo with cornbread, and the cornbread with the gumbo was a game changer. It definitely kicked it up a notch. The gumbo didn't have very strong flavors like other gumbos, but I still enjoyed it. Then I tried the fish and chips. The fish was cooked crispy to my liking, and the portion size was decent. However, the fries were a bit too hard and tasted a little stale. The oysters were the last thing I tried and they were pretty decent my favorite was the easy coasts ones. My only complaint with them were the shell some pieces of shell ended up in the meat portion. The service was great too and they have happy hour.

Recently she had an afternoon appointment and I was able to swing by and join her. Soon as you enter, you head straight to the counter to order. From there, you're given a number and choose your seat. Booth and table options are available. On a Thursday afternoon, the place wasn't busy but not empty, which gave my Mom and I the opportunity to catch up without a noisy dining room. The food came out fresh and hot and for the price, we were surprised by the portion since its was the $10 HH burger and fries. The fountain drinks were interesring as well. DS does not have Coke or Pepsi products. They have similiar flavors you would find with those brands. I enjoyed the Mexican Coke. It seemed to not be as fizzy aa your own well know caffenated Compadres but still carried a great flavor. Let me not skip over the dessert! Mom LOVED the pecan pie which she states had whole pecans instead of pieces. I did not wven notice that she had been getting pieces of the pie as we talked. Half of it was gone when we left. That means is pretty scrumptous! I had enough willpower to eat my chocolate chip cookie when I got home and it was worth the wait! Not only is the cookie huge, but the semi sweet chocolate and sea salt is chef's kiss. Grat combo of both worlds. Combine that with the crunchy outisude and chewy, gooey interior and this is one of the best cookies I've tasted in a long time. So glad to dish all this goodness to Yelpers and remind them of another gem in West U that will not only give you a great place to get a bite but satisfy that sweet tooth.

I stopped by with my buddy on a Thursday evening close to 9 p.m. Free parking was a cinch in the parking lot they share with several other businesses. Service (4.5/5): You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. The lady who brought me my food checked on me twice and was super nice. She called me "sweetheart," a little Southern hospitality goes a long way. Ambiance (4/5): Modern, clean, and comfortable. In line with other Dish Society locations I've been to. We sat at a booth/table combo. Drinks (4.5/5): I love when a restaurant has more than your standard selection of soft drinks. You'll find that at Dish Society. They have "craft" sodas and a nice selection of juice blends. Plus sweet and unsweet tea. Food (4/5): I went with a cup of the tomato bisque soup and the Nutella French toast. The soup tasted as good as it looked. Some croutons or a piece of garlic bread would have been nice, but outside of that, this starter couldn't have been better. The Nutella French Toast was similarly well done. I love French Toast and I love Nutella. So this was a match made in heaven. Along with some sliced strawberries and some blackberries, I was happy I went with a breakfast dish for dinner (they serve brunch all day). The prices are affordable for the quality of the food. My only complaint? The portion sizes are pretty small. Case in point: two slices of French toast when most places will give you four. Pro tip: Join their club for discounts.
