Love the feel of this place and the wait staff is very nice, but we went on an extremely busy day and it took 45 plus minutes to receive our food. I had the chicken and waffles which looked great, but the flavor just wasn't there. I do like their decent coffee which is definitely a plus when most places are trying to save money by serving horrible bean juice! lol We'll have to stop by for some breakfast another day when it isn't so busy and we can see what the cook actually has to offer.

Stopped by after seeing this restaurant on the road. It was confusing to find the main door and whether we had to seat ourselves or not. We flagged someone down to clean the table for us. The waitresses were nice and the food was ok. We had to ask two different waitresses for our utensils because the first one forgot. It's hard to mess up breakfast. It was good but I was not wow'd. I had the Cajun breakfast. The potatoes, some were soft others weren't cooked all the way through. They also needed more seasoning. The star of the plate was the sausage. I also had a short stack of pancakes on the side. The pancakes are large and buttery. My partner had the fried seafood plate. The crust was seasoned well. I like that they mix their cocktail sauce with a little horseradish to give it a little kick.

Haven't been in here in a while but I'm glad I did. It's a simple restaurant, you pick your seat and are served shortly afterwards. The staff is pleasant and the food comes out quick and hot. They weren't kidding when they said the full cinnamon roll was huge and for about $6 I was very pleasantly surprised. The dough of the cinnamon roll was good and moist. I wish the icing was a bit less thick but the flavors went well and it was a good addition to my cup of coffee. Overall, it was a great experience and we'll probably be back to try the rest of the menu.

So this place is like Cheers bar to my family in Pearland & I really appreciate the wait staff service but the food... ughh that's a whole different book all together. While visiting Pearland the 2 different weekends in the month of April I was subjected to eat here 3 times because in my family age beats out the taste of food, meaning when you are with family you only see a few times a year the places your elders choose to eat beat out where you choose because the company you are in is all that matters. That being said the busy bee must cater to mostly the elderly because they do not season their food at all. I mentioned this to my aunt who kept choosing this place, she laughed & said yes I can't have salt anymore... she proceeded to tell me her long list of other elements she has also then said that's why us old folk eat there. I did order a patty melt on the last day & that was pretty tasty. The wait staff is very nice. It does take a long time to get your food even though they seat you quickly which is odd. I really don't care for the food but my family seems to love it so I know I will be back.

Favorite meal is liver and onions with brown gravy. With grilled zucchini And corn casserole as sides. Big delicious yeast rolls to go with brown gravy.

Bottom line, plenty of spaces. Side note, they're not all spaced the way you might expect. Walking in, the place was hopping. Much more crowded than the former business. Pretty good sized menu. They serve you the red salsa, but you can ask for the green. The kind that gives you heart burn for hours. Worth it. Both salsa were great, chips were fresh. We ordered house margaritas, and those were also very good. Pricing was average. For food we ordered the parrillada El Malecon. Mixed beef and chicken, with ribs and quail. Here's where things went a little rough. We ordered the "for two" but the entire was still in a " for one" portion. 3 pieces of steak, 3 chicken, one quail 2 rib portions. Definitely seemed off. The manager came by, and we discussed. On THEIR menu, the double portion is only 4 strips of steak, 4 of chicken, still only one quail, and two rib portions. The reasoning we were given is that people don't seem to like the quail. First, nothing about this is "for two." For 45.99 this isn't it. The chicken and beef were good, the quail was not seasoned well unfortunately, and the ribs were over sauced with a cheap syrupy sauce. Overall food was a no. But here's where I also have to give credit. They stuck with their defense, and while we discussed someone brought a plate of chicken and beef. While we weren't going to ask for anything, we do appreciate their thoughtfulness and speedy resolution. Maybe they knew it was coming , or maybe they just jumped ahead to make it work. Either way, we appreciated that effort. Overall, service was great, food was 50/50. Wouldn't do the parrilladas again, but would try other menu items.

I still put the hot sauce on it though. Cajun shrimp & Crawfish Omelette: 1/10.. I had to send it back. The omelette itself was flavorless and relied on the very little sauce they gave you. I was reminded of why I don't order seafood type omelettes. The only thing that was Cajun about it was the color of the sauce. I called the restaurant to politely ask what might be causing the issue, as I wanted to better understand why it keeps happening. Javi, who answered the phone, was friendly and understanding. Another employee from the bar area also spoke with me and was very kind. She explained that she had not bagged the order. When the manager got on the phone, I explained that I had already discussed the situation with two employees. His response was, "This is the first time I'm hearing about this. You're too far away, so I don't have anyone to drive the gravy to you. I can't give you the gravy. What would you like me to do?" The tone came across as annoyed and dismissive. I let him know that I was already planning to dispute the missing item through Uber Eats, but that I was calling because I wanted to understand why this issue keeps occurring. There was no offer for me to pick up the missing gravy or any meaningful attempt to resolve the situation beyond saying he would speak with the staff. What surprised me most was the contrast between the helpfulness of the employees and the manager's attitude. The staff members were courteous and understanding, while the manager seemed to assume I was exaggerating or making up the issue. Unfortunately, because of both the repeated order mistakes and the poor customer service from management, I won't be ordering from here again.

It definitely kicked it up a notch. The gumbo didn't have very strong flavors like other gumbos, but I still enjoyed it. Then I tried the fish and chips. The fish was cooked crispy to my liking, and the portion size was decent. However, the fries were a bit too hard and tasted a little stale. On a Thursday afternoon, the place wasn't busy but not empty, which gave my Mom and I the opportunity to catch up without a noisy dining room. The food came out fresh and hot and for the price, we were surprised by the portion since its was the $10 HH burger and fries. The fountain drinks were interesring as well. DS does not have Coke or Pepsi products. They have similiar flavors you would find with those brands. I enjoyed the Mexican Coke. It seemed to not be as fizzy aa your own well know caffenated Compadres but still carried a great flavor. Let me not skip over the dessert! Mom LOVED the pecan pie which she states had whole pecans instead of pieces. I did not wven notice that she had been getting pieces of the pie as we talked. Half of it was gone when we left. That means is pretty scrumptous! I had enough willpower to eat my chocolate chip cookie when I got home and it was worth the wait! Not only is the cookie huge, but the semi sweet chocolate and sea salt is chef's kiss. Grat combo of both worlds. Combine that with the crunchy outisude and chewy, gooey interior and this is one of the best cookies I've tasted in a long time. So glad to dish all this goodness to Yelpers and remind them of another gem in West U that will not only give you a great place to get a bite but satisfy that sweet tooth.

Even after joining the waitlist ahead of time, my party of seven still waited about 30 to 40 minutes before being seated. Considering the holiday crowd, though, that was completely understandable. One of the highlights of the evening was our waitress, JB, who was genuinely one of the best servers I have ever had. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the meal. We started with an order of fried pickles, which arrived almost immediately. The pickles were crispy and well fried, though I found the ranch dressing a bit thicker than I prefer. For my entrée, I ordered the 12-ounce prime rib cooked on the rare side, along with steak fries and a Caesar salad. The salad was fairly standard, and while the steak fries were nothing extraordinary, I still have not found a side I prefer more. Prime rib can sometimes be hit or miss when it comes to temperature, so I was happy to see that mine was cooked perfectly this time. It was incredibly tender and seasoned just right. The au jus kept every bite moist, while the creamy horseradish provided the perfect contrast to the richness of the meat. My sister ordered the country fried chicken, which was less successful. The chicken itself was decent, but the white gravy was noticeably salty and overpowered the dish. I also would have preferred the gravy to be served on the side rather than poured over the chicken, as it made the breading soggy and masked some of the flavor. Overall, this was another solid Texas Roadhouse experience. Between the excellent service, well-cooked prime rib, and lively atmosphere, the restaurant delivered on what it does best. While not every dish was a winner, the quality of the meal and the outstanding service made for a memorable Father's Day meal.
