Maybe the worst service I've ever received. I don't think the "new" management is going to last. We were here almost 45 minutes and still didn't receive 2 simple drip coffees, even after watching the table next to us, who arrived well after us, receive coffee AND REFILLS! But all we got for 45 minutes was excuses. A "breakfast place" that struggles this much with drip coffee is a definite red flag. And it wasn't busy, maybe 12 customers, possibly outnumbering the useless staff. We can't speak about the food as we finally paid what we owed and walked out. Figured we could drive to downtown Houston and get coffee and food faster than this place. As a final FU we were given a thin plastic to-go cup full of scalding hot coffee that you couldn't even hold more than 3 seconds without burning yourself. read more

The loaded tater tots are great! The avocado toast needs more avocado, looked like spray in avocado. Service was really good. Had mice wall design. Nothing to absorb noises so could get noisy as more customers are there. Would recommend to try. read more

The atmosphere was welcoming, and everything we ordered from the new menu was amazing. I had the chicken and waffles, and I loved that you could choose between tenders and wings. I went with the wings, and the spicy honey sauce was incredible. It paired so perfectly with the waffles that I didn't even need syrup! My wife ordered the Rooster Classic. The potatoes were cooked wonderfully, and the pancakes practically melted in my mouth. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Pearland! Came here on a whim after church with my husband, and we were so glad we discovered this place. We keep coming back lol. There's always plenty of seating here with absolutely no wait time whenever we come here. The servers are always very nice and attentive anytime we're here. Food always comes out quick too! The food here is really good and affordable! I love their croissant sandwich... like a lot lol. The portion size of their food is just enough to get you full too. My husband also loves the Kaylani omelette. The restaurant is very chill and casual. They also play nice R&B music in the background which is a vibe for me, because I love R&B. My husband and I came here for breakfast while we were in town and had mixed reviews. It's in a weird location at the corner of a strip mall. We were the first customers of the morning so we had the whole place to ourselves. As someone else said, the seating is not very comfortable. (Hard wooden benches in the booths.) The music was good and they showed videos on the tv overhead. He ordered the shrimp & grits and the grits were watered down and had no taste. The shrimp were ok but not worth keeping the dish so he sent it back. I had the avocado toast with fried green tomatoes, which was very good. Two slices of toast and the avocado mixture was topped with feta cheese, which I love. The tomatoes were fried perfectly. It came with tater tots but I didn't want to get too full. Coffee was decent and our server was pleasant and helpful. They have other brunch-type items but with so many other places, not sure if we'd try again. read more

We chose The Rooster. We were there first customers of the day and we thought cool we can get in and out fast. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my wife ordered fried green tomatoes with avocado toast. Hers she said was delicious mine on the other hand not so much. My grits were cold and I thought my shrimp weren't as fresh as they could have been considering the Gulf of Mexico is thirty minutes down the road. The chef left little to be desired the grits were tasteless and the shrimp sauce was not much better. Our server apologized for my entree which was fine. I'll be very careful who to order this dish from. Anyway my wife loved hers and that all I can say. Hence the 2 stars. read more

Even at 7 in the morning on a Sunday, she was very welcoming, the music was soothing & positive, and she was always there at the perfect time for any refills/taking something away. Seriously, if she's not already the owner, give her a raise right now!!! The eggs on the breakfast mac and cheese were the fluffiest I've ever had, and the huge portions are worth every penny.
