    Chicharrón

This is the 2nd time and again everything was great. The restaurant was quiet here this Saturday morning. Our server was friendly. Hubby had combo #3 and I had chicharrón. Both tasted very good, although the food was just warm, not hot. Still delicious. We will be back again

The place is small but the food is amazing. Today i got the number 6. Barbacoa, 2 eggs, papas with chorizo and beans. Omg I left nothing on my plate.. I can't say this enough. Love love love casa morales.

    Huevos Divorciados and pancakes

My husband and I tried this place for the first time. It was nice and cozy, but not crowded. We are hooked! The food was wonderful. The previous reviews did this place justice. There is no denying the staff and chefs know their stuff. We had the Huevos Divociados. We were not disappointed. The ladies at the front of house were nice and courteous. We have decided this is our new place to come for breakfast. Oh! Forgot to mention. The Cafe de Olla!!!!! The best I have ever had. Thank you Cocina Morales!!!

We ordered the Huevos Divorciados, the Barbacoa plate, and a side of pancakes, and every single dish was phenomenal. The Huevos Divorciados were perfectly balanced -- one side bright and tangy, the other rich and savory -- with eggs cooked just right and fresh ingredients that made every bite stand out. The Barbacoa plate was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, packed with flavor and tender enough to fall apart with a fork. You can tell it's made with care and authentic seasoning. And don't even get me started on the pancakes -- fluffy, buttery, and lightly crisp on the edges. They were the perfect sweet finish to an already amazing meal. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared. If you're thinking about trying this place, do it. These dishes won't disappoint!

Asado de puerco and refried beans. You can order this as appetizer or get it as part of the Comida Corrida.

I didn't have to ask for my first refill as the waitress recognized my thirst when I ordered the drink. My food did not disappoint. Another thing I have come to expect from this restaurant. The City Grits were fantastic! Using Gouda cheese with bacon, tomato and green onions as toppings. I opted not to get tomatoes and personally would have like about half as much green onions. But who doesn't love bacon! Hash browns instead of an English muffin and chopped ham instead of Canadian bacon made a special breakfast better. The eggs were poached to perfection. The staff appear to be happy working at this particular restaurant and I observed them working with each other as a team first.

There appeared to be bodily fluids on the restroom floors and on top of the stalls, extending toward the sink area. One of the urinals had a paper towel placed over it with what appeared to be bodily fluids present. The restroom needed immediate attention. While those sanitation issues were occurring, I observed someone watching a UFC fight on a cell phone that had been propped up on one of the restaurant's decorative areas. Whether it was during work or not, it gave the impression that sanitation was not being treated as a priority. I informed a server about the restroom conditions and asked if someone could address them. I was told not to have an attitude by my server (while explaining to him the plate). That response was disappointing, especially after raising what I believed were legitimate health and sanitation concerns. My partner also told me she saw creamers dropped onto the floor and then placed back into the serving container instead of being discarded. She also informed me that the women's restroom had bodily fluids on the toilets. To make matters worse, the plate my food was served on had dried food residue around the top, rim, and on the underside, which I photographed. Clean dishes are one of the most basic expectations when dining out. I hope management takes these concerns seriously. Restaurants are responsible for maintaining clean restrooms, properly sanitized dishware, and food-safe practices. Those standards protect both customers and employees. Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect those expectations.

The hostess estimated a wait of less than 15 minutes, and we were seated right on schedule. The atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming, making it easy to enjoy a conversation. Our waitress was courteous and attentive throughout the meal. While we did have to request a few items, which suggested she may have been juggling several tables, she remained friendly and diligent, promptly clearing plates as we finished. For lunch, I ordered the 2-for-You special with the Monterey Club and Chicken Avocado Chop Salad. Presentation wasn't particularly impressive, but fortunately the flavor was better than the appearance suggested. It was a satisfying meal and a solid value for the price. Overall, First Watch remains a reliable brunch option. While I may opt for takeout on my next visit, the food, atmosphere, and efficient service keep it on my list of local go-to spots. If you're in the area and looking for a dependable brunch destination, it's worth a try.

Big Horn BBQ has become one of our family's go to spots when we're craving BBQ. My 15 year old son…read moreis definitely a carnivore, and his favorite thing to order is the pound of brisket as his meal. He is completely in love with it! He also has Type 1 Diabetes, so having the option to order just meat is actually a huge plus for us. He doesn't always love having to dose insulin for every meal, so being able to get something like a pound of brisket with little to no carbs gives him an option where he can just enjoy his food without having to think as much about his insulin. It may seem like a small thing, but having those choices makes a big difference. My girls usually get the chicken tender meals, and even the kids portions are huge. There is almost always enough left over to take home, which is always a bonus. My husband and I usually share the three meat meal. The turkey is honestly the highlight for both of us. It is really good and probably our favorite meat they offer. We usually get the ribs and brisket with it as well, and everything is pretty solid. I wouldn't say it's competition style BBQ, but for a local restaurant, it's definitely good BBQ and a place we enjoy coming back to. The portions are generous, the food is consistent, and it's a restaurant that works well for our whole family. The sides are also really good and there are plenty of options to choose from. The desserts are probably the one area that didn't stand out as much for me. I tried the bread pudding, and it was just not my favorite. The flavor and texture were a little different than what I expected. That being said, the BBQ itself is what keeps us coming back. Overall, Big Horn BBQ is a great spot with good food, big portions, and options that make it easy for everyone in our family to find something they enjoy. The service is fast and it feels like a cowboys restaurant with all the animals on the walls!

This shows a common practice of poor quality or service and horrible customer service skills.

They have an amazing catering menu that is in increments of 10. The choices were chicken with rice and the other is chicken and pasta. The meat is separated from the chicken so if you have any vegetarians, this is easily accommodated. There is also a salad and desserts. And of course, tea and coffee. The food was kept warm on a warming tray and served as a buffet at the back of the room. I was really impressed with the rice. There were a lot more ingredients in just plain rice. I actually like the chicken from the pasta meal better. But maybe, like both of these items, I like stronger flavors. The other choices weren't too bad either. The desserts are really cute and delicious. Some folks were excited and took more than one. There was a bit of confusion on where the cups were for the drinks and we had two bowls , one for gravy, and one for dressing, that our attendees were confused about. But they were easily fixed. The room was very clean, stable furniture (very important to us because some of our attendees are at fall risks) , and great natural lighting from the window windows. Unfortunately there was only one plug section so there is not a lot of options to place to projector. Make sure to bring an extended cord and floor tape. Since we reserved this rooms a few times, we were able to meet all the managers, Ms. Truc Hoang, Mr. Angelo Chavez, and Mr. Angel Garcia. They were all amazing, super responsive and gave us a lot of information to know what our options are. We had a last minute increase in attendees and they were amazingly able to accommodate . To celebrate the success of our event, I ordered one of their limited time hot chocolate for myself and my co worker. The hot chocolate was super creamy. The whipped creme in the martini glass is super dense and fluffy, perfect pair with this hot chocolate. And with some added substance, a fluffy soft mini croissant and sweet starberry ! My co worker and I kept looking at each other with excitement over this. Make sure to end your meal with this while it is here for the holidays!! Overall, this location is great for small gatherings. If you are looking for a venue to host an event, please be sure to add this to your list to check it out. They have free parking, it's right next to the mall, and the staff are amazing people with great comfort food!
