Brunch was amazing! The food was delicious! (Very basic foods). The place is super cutes. They also had music playing while eating so it was nice. The person who took out order was friendly. But the coffee! el Cafe de Lola is a must here! I would recommend getting a cup and just relax and talk. The food was good the green salsa was a hint of spice and very limey. Over all, it was good and would come back however it does feel like something I can make at home but if you don't want to cook you come here for brunch! read more

I was looking for a place to pick up coffee and came across Canela Caffe. After browsing their Yelp page, I realized they serve food as well, so I decided to stop in for lunch and coffee to go. They're located in a small shopping strip off of Hwy 6 at Savannah Pkwy. Parking is adequate and the shopping strip is located at a traffic light which is so helpful when trying to get back on to Hwy 6. I was greeted pretty quickly by one of the employees. I placed my order at the register up front, then grabbed a seat to wait. While I waited, I noticed the steady stream of customers coming in. The dining room is rather large and they had quite a few tables. I also noticed a colorful photo op wall. I didn't have to wait too long for my order. I read positive reviews about the Coconut Coffee so that's what I went with. I ordered it iced, however they brought me a hot one. I went ahead and kept it because I didn't want to wait any longer for my much needed caffeine fix. To my surprise, the Coconut Coffee was very good! I really enjoyed the coconut shavings. For my meal, I ordered the Potato and Egg Breakfast Tacos and added cheese. I opted for a side of refried black beans. When I got home, I discovered that the tacos didn't have any cheese on them. To add insult to injury, the tacos and beans were extremely bland. I tried the red and green salsa, and they were spicy, but good. It definitely helped to add some flavor. read more

The restaurant was clean and cute. The prices were very affordable. I had the chilaquiles. I liked that they allowed me to have half red sauce and half green. I preferred the green sauce the red sauce didn't have that much flavor. I had a sunny side up egg. It only came with one, so ran through that quickly. My husband had the divorciados and he said it was decent. We split a half order of waffles. They were very thick and dry. I do not recommend the waffle. read more

Just had a FABULOUS breakfast in this charming café owned by 3 sisters. They let us substitute, mix an match so my meat eater husband filled up on delicious soft waffles topped with whipped cream and my side of bacon. I had a delightful vegetarian plate (ommelette was awesome with cheese in the middle) and veggies, plus hobbies fruit side. The ambiance here is over the top as well. read more

Canela caffe is one of those hidden gem brunch restaurants. My neighbor and I went on cold, breezy Sunday morning and it literally was the perfect place for that type of weather and mood we were in . I have seen this place and I have passed it up multiple times honestly without any thoughts to try....oh my goodness from the moment I stepped in to the time I left I was blown away. The ambiance is simple , but cute ,.adorable and very comforting . The service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean . I was hesitant to try the coffee because I'm very picky about my coffee , but I am so glad I did ! The presentation was photo worthy and so unique. I was not expecting my coffee to come out in a clay mug with beautiful Mexican art and a caramel lollipop it was pure perfection.. I only added a little sugar just out of preference .. sorry long review but it was that good ! Now on the food ..I am probably the most picky , but open and willing to try new things type person but the breakfast was absolutely amazing as well, no need for seasoning not even salt and pepper . I usually do not like green salsa but OMG they have practically converted me the fusion between the green and the red oh my gosh my taste buds were exploding in excitement ! The food is pretty good just to much makeup to make the food look not cheap . Yes the prices here are very expensive for food that looks great but the taste isn't that great the meat is chewy and a lil raw and not cooked and the drinks here half of it if coffee half of it is adult drinks . This place can't make up its mind between what they call Tex Mex and a decent not really a bakery . The staff here aren't friendly or knowledgeable in the food and drinks here . Came here for the first time with my family of 4, and was excited to try something new. About 1 minute after we came in, a Hispanic family came in and immediately a server came over and took care of that table. We waited for 10 min and no one came by, while the other table had their drinks and placed their order. We decided to leave, and before we left the parking lot I decided to speak with management because it didn't sit right with me, and what did I see when I walked in, a server at the same table we were just sitting at taking a white couples order. It hadn't even been 2 minutes and immediately they were taken care of. Never coming here again. read more
