Only given this place A4 because of the service this place offers all you can eat crawfish however the service is slow and after 2 refills on the all you can eat crawfish the Crawfish seem to get smaller our first round of crawfish was very well I won't say very small kind of like medium sized the next serving they were big Heavenly season and delicious the third serving was a mix between small and large ones. This place is very country it looks like they took a old house and gutting it out and turn it into a restaurant it does not seat many people but I've been there twice and I've never had to wait for a table they offer a kids menu with several options they also have options for those special people who do not eat seafood overall we will continue to give Buster's our business because their crawfish are delicious if they can just work with their servers on customer service they will have it going on.

This restaurant was such a breath of fresh air. It has a real small-town feel--one of those places…read morewhere everyone seems to know everyone, and it's honestly adorable. It reminded me of the kind of restaurants I grew up with as a kid in a small town. Just a simple, quaint little spot on the side of the freeway. We've been there twice now, and the food is great. We pass it all the time on the way to Coushatta in Kinder, and now we're kicking ourselves for not stopping in sooner. The vibe, the people, the food--everything just feels right. The whole place feels like it's straight out of Mayberry (for the younger folks, ask someone older and they'll tell you). My wife and I love to people-watch, and I swear we saw the pastor chatting with parishioners, the mayor and his wife shaking hands with folks, neighbors catching up on the latest gossip, and the PTA crew laughing in the corner. It was all just too perfect. The food is cooked the way it used to be in the old days, and it really brings back memories. Don't get me wrong--the restaurant itself is a normal, modern stand-alone building--but the feel inside, with the vibe from the waitresses, the customers, and the food, just exudes this wonderful old-time country charm. Allyssa was our waitress the last two times we went, and she's absolutely adorable. She's got the sweetest country twang and a natural charm that makes you feel right at home. She's very attentive, too. We had the fried pickles, the catfish dinner, and the fried shrimp. The iced tea is always fresh. They close at 2 on Sundays, so get there early for the freshest food. I'm no food critic, so I can't break down all the flavors for you--but I can tell you everything was good, and we left with big smiles on our faces. We'll definitely be back.

Ooweee what amazing treats! First off they had a spread of cooked meat to choose from…read more I had the Fried Ribs, Fried Catfish, and Pepper Jack Egg Rolls. They also had Fresh Made Pork Rinds, no worries one day I'm leaving the pork alone I decided to get the bag of Fresh Pork Rinds. They had frozen meats to go and gumbo to go. We did not grab meat because we still have a whole before we head home, they do have you a frozen bag on sale right next to the freezer and Fridge for your convenience. You should definitely stop by while visiting Louisiana! The Service was quick and easy and the Ambience was casual and comfortable with outdoor seating. So after performing at New Orleans Jazz Fest this past weekend, we finally made a stop to see if it lived up to the praise. Pulling up, it honestly looks like a simple gas station pit stop--the kind of place truck drivers frequent (and judging by the steady flow of trucks, that checks out). But stepping inside was a completely different experience. It was clean, open, and surprisingly welcoming. Before even ordering, we found ourselves in the frozen section grabbing items to take home--boudin, deer sausage, gumbo... you name it, they had it stocked and ready. It already felt like one of those hidden gems you're glad someone put you on to. Then came the food. My boyfriend has been talking about their fried ribs for over a year, so of course we had to order them. He also got chicken wings, while I kept it light with Cajun boudin balls and green beans. First bite of the boudin ball? I was pleasantly surprised. Flavorful, slightly doughy, but still really good. But let's get to the star of the show... The fried ribs. As someone who's lived in Texas for over 20 years, I had never even heard of fried ribs. But baby... these were it. Perfectly seasoned all the way through, incredibly tender, and honestly--you could barely even tell they were fried. Just juicy, flavorful, and done right. This review is really just to say: fried ribs are real... and In-Laws does them right. If you're ever driving between Texas and Louisiana--somewhere around Lake Charles or Lafayette--do yourself a favor and stop here. 10/10. Highly recommend.

I've visited enough times to know that the food can be a hit or miss…read more I'm sure every restaurant has an "off" day, so perhaps we visited when there was a different chef working. On our last visit, everything was pretty salty. I ordered the prime rib melt, but was very disappointed. Even the gator bites didn't taste like how I remembered them. The boudin balls were the saving grace. They were large (in comparison to the other boudin balls I've previously had) and very tasty. The sweet potato waffle fries weren't bad either. The health inspector must not pay attention during inspections. After walking past the kitchen and seeing a bucket of food that appeared to be etouffe sitting on the floor with no lid on it, a cardboard box of baked potatoes next to it, and see the waitresses spend more time circling up to gossip than actually paying attention to their tables..... I will never waste my money in this establishment again. Go try Big Thickett BBQ or another local spot in town. Watching the unsanitary practices by a waitress named Kaitlyn, who seemed to be in charge, and the laziness of majority of the group gave me enough reason to never waste my time having a meal here again.
