March 22, 2015 OMG - absolutely fabulous.. I told my husband - I've got to YELP Bushmill!!!!! Upon walking in - there was a board with many specials to choose from. We like that. We both got the creamy, smoked cheddar crab soup which had tater tots in it, big chunks of crab - very, very good. Our appetizer, a peppercorn crusted rare ahi tuna appetizer was to die for - very fresh. I had a special - blackened salmon BLT and my husband got the grilled steak and asparagus salad with a yummy Dijon horseradish dressing...... It was fantastic. There is a great chef there. We also had 2 beers and one drink. Total was only $53.... What a deal......Our waitress was totally on.... Never forgot us... - tipped her well. Can't wait to go back. read more

On our way home to Wilmington from Baltimore yesterday, I asked my son Seth why he was driving 83 miles per hour. He said he was hungry. It was only 11:30, but we decided to stop for lunch. Yelp led us to the Bushmill Tavern, and it was a great find. We were greeted warmly and enthusiastically, the atmosphere was friendly, we felt welcome at 11:45. The place filled up as our burgers cooked. I got the bison popper burger, Seth got the pig pen. Both were huge, perfectly seasoned, and cooked as we had ordered them. The buns were especially good, complementing the meat and holding up under pressure, without stealing the show. Good burgers, good service, good lunch. I will soon return for dinner where I can try the beer and listen to music, but for now I am very happy with our experience. read more

What a pleasant surprise. We were on our way to a different restaurant for lunch when part of the road in front of Bushmill was closed. We therefore stopped in and ordered mostly burgers. I was expecting frozen, premade food but, instead, the burgers and fries were very fresh and tasty. In addition, the staff was nice enough to change the channel on the TV so that we can watch the World Cup games. Good stuff! read more

Driving through on our way to Tennessee and found this spot on Yelp. It did not disappoint. It does come across as a "dive" bar from the outside but please don't let that fool you. The menu options are so good it's hard to narrow down your choices. They also had some specials on the board. We started with the baked crab dip which was served with chunks of soft pretzels so that was a great and tasty twist. Next I went with one of the specials which was a flat bread pizza with lump crab meat. My husband had the pig pen burger which was an amazing burger topped with pulled pork. Our son had the black and bleu burger. Burgers are served with fresh cut fries. For those prior reviews on yelp talking about slow service I say it takes time to cook food from scratch. We will definitely come back our next trip this way! read more

Went here on a whim after work for dinner after reading about it on Yelp. The atmosphere is dive bar-ish with loads of tv screens for watching sports (bonus). My boyfriend ordered the special, Gumbo and wasn't disappointed. Loaded with shrimp, sausage and lobster meat. I got the hangover burger with duck get fries and all I can say is YUM! Crystal was our server and she did a fantastic job. It was wine night and they had a good selection of bottles to choose from for the meager cost of $10. The meal was delicious, the service was fast and curtious, and we left fat and happy. Would recommend this establishment to anyone asking. Hoping to catch a Ravens game there some time soon. read more

Food was good. Everything came out just like we ordered. It was tasty fresh and hot. However, the service was not great. Waiting by the front door for 10 minutes while 3 servers passed by. Finally we're seated. The servers looked annoyed and irritated the hole time and kept walking past us. Finally took our order. Also the atmosphere is LOUD! I was there friday nite n the two bartenders were amazing. Tracy n alex worked there ass off. Lol. They made sure everything was ok.

Went in on the recommendation of friends. Was a little skeptical as there were 4 people smoking right at the entrance...come to find out one was an employee. Server was friendly enough although I watched her grab a trash can and drag it to the front of a side bar with her bare hands and then proceed to grab drinks. Everyone inside looked happy enough. Ordered two beers and thought we would start with the cheddar crab soup topped with old bay tots. What came out was like a bowl of thick velveeta...the menu said the cheddar was smoked but had no smokey flavor at all. After having so many amazing soups while visiting MD we were very disappointed. We thought about ordering a burger (what we came for) but our server chatted with some people at another table for 20 minutes before checking on us and didn't bother to ask if we enjoyed the barely touched soup- so we took our check and went somewhere else. I've eaten in twice before and had take out twice. I had fairly decent experiences and the burger was grood. However, I stopped there on a whim today for lunch with a coworker. The place was pretty much empty. We both ordered burgers, mine being medium-well. Well, 40 minutes later we're still waiting! The waitress said it was because mine was medium-well and it takes 20 minutes. Are you kidding me!? Are they cooking with fire or a solar oven? After almost and hour we had to get the food to go. There was a discount, but we still left way more than required. Once I got to eat, they also got my order wrong! I can understand if the place was packed, but it was mostly some around the bar, not in the restaurant side. Anyways, don't go unless you have plenty of time on your hands. read more

I've been here 3 times in the last year. The food selection isn't bad for a Tavern and the service has been decent. However, some of the food quality is subpar. The regular fries are always burnt, crusty, disgusting bottom-of-the-barrel garbage. They probably do this to entice you to get their much better duck fat fries (which cost more, duh). Their cheese steak tacos are a F-ing joke! They're more like over-cooked, crusty egg rolls with a few drops of steak inside. This has to be the worst God damn excuse of a taco I've ever seen. They charge almost 12 bucks for this crap. During lent, I had to get a veggie burger on a Friday. Of all the veggie burgers I've had, this was probably the most disgusting thing I've ever had. It's more like a bean patty glued together with some questionable concoction. The only thing I've ever had that was worth a damn were the burgers and the nachos. Even though I ate in, I ordered another meal to-go, and guess what? These cheap bastards charged extra. Are they that desperate? read more

Went with my wife last week and it wasn't a good experience. First the selection of draft beer was poor. No Coors, Michelob. Michelob light or Bud even though there was a huge Budweiser sign on the roof. My wife ordered a burger well done, well she picked it apart throwing away half the burger that was pink. I ordered Sloppy Bill, a variation of Sloppy Joe but with buffalo meat.The sauce was so thick and over bearing that there was no way to identify what kind of meat it was. Everyone, including fellow patrons, were very nice. The interior is very plain, but clean! The food is delicious - high quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, well seasoned, served at the right temperature. I tried the sangria and it was the worst sangria I have ever had (best is from Perro Salado in Rhode Island), but if it were just a "sweet drink" it would have been great. After reading all the positive reviews decided to give this place a try. The night we stopped in they were hosting a Paint Night, so seating was a little tight with a lot of tables already reserved. Started with the hot crab dip which was really good. A huge portion with tasty crab topped with cheddar cheese. Lot's of burger choices but we chose to build our own. They were quite good. I went to Bushmill for lunch on a Friday afternoon at right about 12. The restaurant part was empty, but there were some regulars at the bar. I don't think they appreciated non-regulars coming in because we got a pretty dirty look. It was really cold in the restaurant and the decor is less than fancy. I didn't expect anything too great, but this place looks like a candidate for Restaurant:Impossible. I had heard that the burgers were great, but wanted something different so I tried the pit roasted turkey. It came on a a large bun with a decent side of fries. The problem was that the turkey was incredibly dry. I ended up asking the waitress for some BBQ sauce because I couldn't swallow it. She asked if I wanted something else, but we had waited awhile for the food in the first place, so I just did what I could. I mostly ate the fries which were salty but tasty. My bill was $9.01 after tax and a glass of water. My friend had the ahi tuna tacos. At first they were great, but then she got a piece of fish that had that distinct "fishy" flavor when its a little beyond fresh. It made her weary of eating any more of it. Finally, it looked like the owners were having a pretty in depth business meeting right out on the dining room floor. They were by the bathroom so anyone that went that direction had to walk by them. I bet this place would probably be fun on a Sat night for a trip to the bar, but definitely not for their dining room menu. Stick to the beer. read more

If I could I would give it zero stars. We ordered a chicken cheesesteak and the grill cheese burger. The chicken was bland and the fries were cold when they arrived. My husband ordered his burger medium, and it came out charcoaled and burnt through. The cook probably had to pry it off the grill from in between the grates to put it on the grill cheese sandwiches. When we sent it back and asked for a medium burger, the next one came out raw, cold, and still mushy. The blood from the raw hamburger spilled out the burger when he cut it; soaking all the fries. So he couldn't eat those either. The restaurant said they would just take it off the bill. But since he ate the top grill cheese (as it was the only thing on the plate not covered in raw hamburger blood), the manager decided he would charge us for a grill cheese and fries... remember my husband couldn't even eat the fries. Bad business!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone to eat. read more

We go there quite often. Only complaint would be the sound echos in there so much it's hard to have a conversation with your party you are eating with. Also the wait staff tend to get overwhelmed when it gets really busy it seems. Overall though, the food menu is awesome and food is on point read more

The restaurant area is way too loud for a normal conversation even with only about 15 in bar area and another 15 in restaurant section (basically one big semi-open space). Food was fair for three entrees and one starter that our group had though some of the other offered items look interesting, maybe we just picked wrong items. Server was pleasant and friendly but her knowledge of menu items was limited as she had not had many of item offered. Two entrees were delivered to table and after 5 minutes had to ask waitress about missing entree which she retrieved promptly. Decor was nothing impressive and was fairly basic. Don't think we will return although but I hope they improve and prosper after some time to brew. read more
