We realized we had some water damage under our kitchen sink and needed an inspection to see what was going on. Burtech was able to come out the next day and Danny, our technician, was on time and kept me updated on his arrival. He was able to identify pretty quickly that an old part had broken and was spraying water when we ran our dishwasher. I setup an appointment with Burtech Plumbing to come check out a toilet that was clogged and a faucet that was having low water pressure. Dave Fults was the plumber/technician who came out. He was very nice and helpful. The Toilet ended up becoming unclogged before he got there but he provided some helpful tips to reduce the clogging from happening in the future and fixed my faucet by removing the restrictor in the aerator. Dave was very kind and because the water pressure fix was minor he didn't charge me anything this time. Definitely will use Burtech Plumbing again in the future for any plumbing needs. read more

Our kitchen and water filter faucets were leaking badly. On advice of a neighbor, we called Burtech plumbing in Encinitas. They responded immediately. Parts were gotten, and the service technician, a guy named Jeff, went to work. The space under the sink is quite small and dark, and Jeff is not a small man. But he persevered and spend several hours working there. The job took most of the day. In the end, everything was fixed or replaced and now it all works beautifully. My main water line from the street meter to my house broke Saturday Sept. 27,2025. I received estimates from 3 plumbers to fix the problem. My original water line was made out of polyurethane and 2 different plumbers independently told me the line could not be repaired because fittings for it were no longer made. Both plumbers said a new copper pipe would need to be installed. Not only was Burtech plumbing the lowest estimate out of the 3 estimates, but I had hired them about 5-7 years earlier to replace a main shut-off valve and pressure regulator. They did a fantastic job back then and another fantastic job this time. They were not able to schedule my permanent repair until Wednesday, but came out Monday and performed a temporary fix, restoring running water to my house. THAT was fantastic. I would say most people take running water for granted. You don't appreciate running water until you don't have it. I couldn't use the toilet, wash dishes, do the laundry, or anything else requiring running water. Loss of water is very depressing and inconvenient. Life simply is not the same without running water. Restoring running water with a temporary fix until they could perform the permanent repair was exceptional. Plumbers Dave (an experienced plumber of 40 years or so) and Josh (a young kid just starting out) came to my house and performed the temporary fix, restoring running water to my house. They knew exactly what to do and performed their task smoothly and efficiently with the expertise that only experience and know-how can bring. Josh welded temporary fittings together while Dave installed them. On Wednesday, another crew consisting of Juan, Edgar, and Fabian, performed the permanent repair (installed new copper pipe from street meter to house). This involved digging a roughly 16 inch deep trench from the street meter to the house (roughly 40 feet) and getting the pipe underneath about a 5 foot width of pavers and then through the building into the inside of my garage, then welding the new pipe into the existing pipes inside my garage feeding the rest of the house. All these guys were also well experienced, proficient, and diligent. Juan came up with a brilliant idea to get the new pipe underneath the pavers without removing any pavers. He crafted a "hydro-drill" consisting of a pipe in which one end was sealed off - the other end fitted with a coupling that attached to the street pressure water line. On the end sealed off, small holes were drilled to let water squirt out. This tool, which he crafted on the spot, was used underneath the pavers to trench a hole through which the replacement copper pipe could fit through. They got the pipe underneath the pavers without removing any pavers. Amazing ! Edgar and Fabian dug the trenches and assisted with getting the new pipe installed. All these guys were amazingly fantastic and performed their tasks flawlessly. To me, what these guys did is hard, physical labor. But they all made it look easy. They did a superb, excellent job. To me, these guys are real American heroes. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Burtech plumbing. Even the office girl, Crystal, was super nice, patient, and understanding. I made the correct choice hiring Burtech plumbing to fix my Main water line. Now that I have running water again, I couldn't be happier. read more

They scheduled me same day, guy called me, said he could arrive early, did and fixed the problem in no time. I can tell you the day prior I called roto rooter thinking since they fixed clogs regularly they would be reasonable. They quoted me almost $400, Burtech in and out in 30,40 and for $125. We had a plumbing emergency on a Saturday. Burtech replied to my Yelp request within five minutes and were then able to confirm within twenty minutes that a technician was available and on the way. Kyle showed up soon after and quickly diagnosed the issue. He told us that the repair was likely straight forward but there was a slight chance that it could be something larger. We appreciated this explanation of the potential risk and moved forward. Sure enough the simple repair worked. Kyle fixed the problem perfectly and taught me some things about it along the way. On Saturday of 4th of July weekend, we had a leak in our master bathroom shower. It was leaking onto the downstairs patio. Kyle came out in less than 2 hours after I called. TLDR: honest helpful company, would definitely contact them again! We have an easement in our back yard, with a very old cover made of wooden 2x6s. Under the cover, there is a square opening about 3 feet deep and wide, at the bottom of which are three large-diameter drain pipes. Two come in from our hillside, and one leads out to the street. I think they're there to help prevent flooding if there's heavy rain. The pipes are open-ended and, over the past couple of weeks, we noticed a smell from the area. I had no idea if pipes this big could be cleaned properly. I thought of pouring some bleach into the one leading downwards to the street, but didn't think that was a very eco-friendly thing to do. I wondered if hydro-jetting might help, so around 10am today (a Sunday) I contacted Burtech Plumbing. I got a reply within 5 minutes, offering to have a tech come out around noon. Kyle arrived right on time. He's a helpful and friendly guy. He jumped into the hole, took a look into the pipes, and said that cleaning probably wouldn't help much, if at all. He advised against pouring bleach down there. He suggested building a new cover, and sealing it better, maybe using thick rubber gasket (something I had already suggested to my wife), so that's what we'll do. We weren't charged for the visit. 5 stars !! read more
