We had clogged patio drains. We have about 140 feet to drainage pipes. We reached out to several plumbers and each quoted between 1300 and 1500 for hydro jet and drains. One even quoted 850 for 25 feet. We have some cracks in pipe and they all also recommended we perform pipe lining. Quotes weee coming in at 22k plus. We called drainmob and they quoted over phone and came by today. 1200 later they cleared all our drains plus sewer drain. They located all breaks and left markings on exactly where breaks were. After dealing with several plumbers over the years, I can gladly say we're officially endorsing Drain Mob as the best in San Diego. Not only does their team consist of incredibly competent technicians, but their quoting, estimating, and communication processes are the most seamless and efficient we've ever experienced. We had been dealing with recurring soft clogs that seemed to worsen over time. Multiple plumbing companies previously advised us to get a main line hydrojetting, which we eventually did--but frustratingly, we ended up with yet another soft clog the very next week. At that point, we were convinced we were dealing with some combination of toilet paper buildup and cast iron corrosion based on the "facts" provided by other services. Then came Drain Mob. After experiencing the same clog again, we called in the morning, and they quickly scheduled Cody and Mike to come out later that day. Both were fantastic--professional, thorough, and genuinely committed to finding the real issue. They scoped the line, checked multiple cleanouts, walked us through several potential scenarios, and didn't jump to conclusions. With a full camera inspection, they discovered something none of the prior plumbers had caught: our entire system was ABS except for one small, forgotten section of cast iron in the main line. That isolated section had a corroded baffle that was catching toilet paper and progressively worsening. Even though it was late in the evening, Cody and Mike took their time, properly diagnosing the situation, and provided a fair and reasonable quote for digging out and replacing that cast iron segment with a new ABS junction. Cody immediately got on the phone with his coworker to try and schedule us in ASAP, mentioning that this job needed to be done with high priority to prevent further soft clogs. He even offered to come by to clear any potential clogs he suspected could happen at our place until the scheduled job the next week, his way home after his shift ended, free of charge. A+ customer service right there. On the day of the job, Mauricio, Carlos, and Caleb were phenomenal. They arrived promptly, and Mauricio--who led the project--clearly explained every step of the process before starting. Our trusted plumber referred us to Drain Mob. I didn't even realize that a lot of the plumbers you utilize for in home repairs are not as familiar with drain lines so it requires plumbers of a different specialty area. My cast iron Sewer line 80 years old needed to be replaced. I called Drain Mob for a quote and a young man arrived in a big white truck. He camererd the line and measured the ENTIRE line and gave me a shocking quote for a complete Relining of $29,600 then quickly said he could knock off $600. He then proceeded to put a notepad in front of me and introduced 100% financing with NO interest in the first 12 months. I said "That was a crazy out of my budget quote, can you cut it in half, or 30%. He said no. I said I'd get back to him.. Wow, from knowledge & expertise to customer service, Drain Mob is on point! We were looking at a $38k job to replace our corroded cast iron drains with ABS. Not only was it insanely expensive, we didn't want the risks of trenching all the way up to our foundation. Thank God we did our research! They say you should get 3 bids for standard contract work; 10 for drains and plumbing. We can absolutely see why. The scope and price were all over the place from company to company. It took four bids and weeks of back and forth with competitors before we decided to go with Cody and his team. But once we did, we had complete trust in them. Their customer service is very old school in a way that doesn't really exist anymore. Where other companies gave us a blanket price or made us wait a week for quotes, Cody was ON IT, working up four distinct proposals for us, all extremely detailed and itemized, so we knew what solution would best fit our needs and budget. When we hit a wall--due to both the unknown state of our kitchen line and the barrage of industry jargon--Cody gave us space and ultimately offered to complete the job in phases so he wouldn't overpromise and underdeliver. At no point did we feel pressured to go under contract like we did with the other guys. Cody was just there, holding our hands until he answered every last question. Bonus points for him being a boots-on-the-ground contractor, not a random sales guy! As for the job itself, Tyler and Dawson killed it! They let us know what they were doing every step of the way. When a member of the crew had a family emergency that resulted in a no show, Jose made it right from the back office, bending over backwards to get a replacement tech on site the same day. He also discounted our bill for the inconvenience and moved other clients around to get the OG crew back on the job ASAP per our request. For as unsexy of a project as this was, we're thrilled with the results of our pull-in-place epoxy liner. We have before and after pics & videos, a new clean out and stand pipe, and a reputable company to turn to if we ever need them. Plus we paid $13k less than we would have had we done a complete replacement via trenching. Do your research, but just know--their Yelp reputation is legit.
