This place is amazing, the location is deceiving on the outside but the inside is really nice and very clean. We ordered a few burrito bowls which all came out perfect. The pork was amazing, it was juicy and cooked perfectly. The lady taking our order told us that everything comes in fresh and is made in house, even the salsas. Love this place. Love the chips & the guacamole! What makes every dish here great quality is the meats. The chicken the beef the carnitas! That's the ingredients that make salads, tacos, burritos and Chimichangas the best! All the other fillings are just additions to amazing quality of tasty meats. If I get a salad I love the option of half & half meats. They are delish and I don't even use their salad dressing because the sour cream or guacamole are plenty of flavor. My son eats the tacos with just the meat & cheese and he is always up for having them for lunch or dinner. I think their prices are good. The service is always good! This was our first visit. We have friends that have been several times and recommended they burritos. There were 4 of us and we ordered 2 burritos, 2 chicken & rice bowls and a large chips & pico. The 2 chicken & rice bowls came out before the chips & pico. The temperature of the 2 bowls was barely warm and did not have much flavor. Then the chips & pico came out, barely enough for 2. The employee did say if we need more to let them know. When the 2 burritos were finally delivered we kindly asked for more chips so we would not have to ask later. She said she needed the tray (disposable paper tray) to refill. Then said never mind she'll bring another tray of chips. We live in Va Beach so it took us almost 30 mins to get there. First time dining in here. The last time I had something form here my sister brought it home to me. This time I was craving nachos and my sister said the they had the best. Trying to get there was a bit of a mess, since they have changed the roads and now us VBers must pay a toll to get there. So I definitely won't change my star review, because Im not going to rate someone based on their Nachos. But these were not the best-as my sister had stated. They were INCREDIBLY salty. Holy moly. I had maybe abut 5 or 6 bites and all of a sudden realized I had downed 2 water bottles of water and my stomach was so full from all of the water that I couldn't finish my food. I had to take about 85% of it home, which was a total bummer.-- And even while Im sitting here eating my left overs this morning, only after a few bites I still have the STRONGEST after taste of salt! And just overly dehydrated. Everything was just sort of globed on there. I get its a quick place and they need to move orders fast so I do appreciate that but, I don't know. There's a few reasons this place isn't your average. Let's start with the selection. Almost all the food inside is organic or chosen with organic ideals in mind. It is clear transparency is a value here. The meat locations are all known and shared. The fresh-made red salsa is absolutely off the hook! A light and crispy tortilla chip could be a better pairing because the chips served with the salsa are pretty thick and filling, and you won't want to stop until the salsa is gone, believe me. Speaking of filling, the burritos are HUGE. HUUGE. In a very good way. The regular sizes are a solid meal in themselves. Only do the large burritos if you are sharing as a meal with another. Trust me on this. They're gigantic. Sizes aside, the prices are super reasonable and easy. All prices have tax included, and are nice even prices, so your $3 item is $3. No dealing with change other than half dollar coins, which they will give. Finally, the fresh green hot (spicy) salsa available free upon request is no joke - have a drink or a tortilla handy In the end, there are a lot of dine-in and carry out restaurants to choose from in Chesapeake, but not that many that go beyond just taste and size of food. Moved to the area recently and have been searching for some real Mexican food (not all this Tex Mex stuff out here). I've lived in San Diego for many years, so was hoping to find a legit CA burrito here. Ordered a CA burrito without sour cream and dined in. After a few bites I realized there was no guacamole and no salsa/pico. I asked the person at the register and they confirmed it does not come with guacamole. Pretty bummed out, it was really dry and could have been such an amazing burrito with just a few more ingredients. (Should be included included at that price!) California Burrito was fantastic - as close to the real thing as I've had on this coast! Definitely recommend for a lunch or big dinner.

Everything is super fresh and delicious. I've never had anything , my husband and I did not love. The meats are super flavorful and tender. I also love thart they have Lollys. The only thing I will say is that the menu can sometimes be mis-leading or unclear. The last couple times I've asked questions about what I'm ordering for our kids, the young lady answering gave the attitude that I should already know. My kids are young, and one is a picky eater, so when I'm ordering I try to ask questions, so that I'm not sending something back or buying a meal my kid is not going to eat. It would be nice if the menu was either more clear about what comes on a burrito/taco/etc, or the staff was more willing to explain what comes on a menu item if asked. I've been to this restaurant twice now and both times were great. They have good food and I love the vegan options. It's pretty easy to make a taco or burrito vegan by adding beans and removing the cheese or sour cream but this place has a vegan swaps for both of those so it's really nice and extremely rare to find. The portions are great and won't leave you feeling hungry after. I've shown this place to a few friends and family who aren't vegan like me and they love it and have become regulars. I'm removing the one star review and updating to 3 stars. The one star review was for bad service during the pandemic which at this point I can chalk up to the whole world had gone mad. This review is based on the food, and price and mostly good service the rest every other time being here. As someone who was born and raised in California, it's always fun to find Mexican food elsewhere to compare and contrast to CA's excellent quality. Chesapeake isn't exactly packed with Mexican food. So given that, this place is decent considering there's very little to choose from in town. They are quite expensive though and their food is not "true authentic Mexican" and leans more toward "American Mexican." The burritos and quesadillas are pretty good but the steak meat isn't the best. Honestly if it wasn't for their amazing hot sauce the burritos wouldn't be that great. So all in all, it's a OKAY place in a pinch, but if you're looking for authentic Mexican, you may want to try somewhere else. read more

I've tried this place 3 times now, trying my best to support local businesses. For starters, I am MEXICAN, and I am a native of Los Angeles Ca... I've previously suggested they add horchata and a few other items that will help with the authenticity factor of This being a Mexican burrito shop (as the name would suggest-the first time I went there I asked for an Horchata and they asked what that was! Ironically, it (name of the place) translates to "lost burrito" which I absolutely agree with it being lost, somewhere in between Taco Bell-esque and a haphazardly constructed menu that resembles Mexican cUisine but is a far cry from it. This last time we ordered their large steak burrito (PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE THAT AS BEING CARNE ASADA) and a roasted pork soft taco. Thee taco was decent, however overly salted and the burrito, well, anyone can stuff a tortilla full of veggies, rice, beans, guacamole, and toss in red meat, mediocrely seasoned...but it doesn't make it Mexican food. I can say with certainty that we will not be going back....there are far more other "B rated" (at best) restaurants/shops in the Chesapeake area that while a bit of a longer drove, deFinitely well worth it in comparison...can't say we didn't try. read more

I had an half and half Chimichanga with half of chicken and half of beef. I think mine had more chicken than beef. The chimichanga was kinda big for me, I tried to finish it and got so full. One thing I don't like about this restaurant is the restroom. They don't have their own restroom, they use the restroom with the gas shop next door.
