I hesitated to try burrito express due to the reviews being mixed but it's 3 blocks from my house so I finally gave it a go. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla and the asada quesadilla. I also got chips guacamole and salsa. I got all these things somehow for only $16 or so I thought until I found out after repeating my order 3 times she forgot one of my quesadillas The breakfast quesadilla was alright but I just felt like it was too busy and I couldn't really taste the cheese. The asada quesadilla wss way too saucy. I couldn't taste the cheese. I felt like the main element was being taken away. The chips were really salty and the guacamole was watered down. read more

Im not a native New Mexican, so take that into consideration of my view point. I hit up the drive thru in the morning after my workout and I was craving a breakfast burrito and never had burrito express and a lot of people hyped it up to me. Ordered Huevos Rancheros Burrito with chorizo and green chile. Size was a little lacking, I thought it could have been stuffed a bit more. Tasted like a basic burrito, nothing wrong with it. It was kind of bland, had to thow on some hot sauce. Service was perfectly fine when going through drive thru. Overall its a 3.5 for me. Basic burrito and thought it could have had more filling. I've had much larger breakfast burritos from other places in the area within the same price range. read more

I used to love this place and would come at least once a week but recently they have gone so down hill it's really sad. About a month ago they completely messed up my order and when I called they told me the next time come in it would be free, so sure enough I come back next week and they tell me they cant honor their word and instead they gave me a lousy two dollars off. I didn't go back for maybe two weeks then I had my husband go back because again I used to love their food but when he came back his burrito had a hair in it and when we contacted them they told us they would refund our order but never did. Everything was good! Our first visit and we were happy with our food. First off this is Mexican style, not New Mexican, so the chile wasn't extremely hot. A little kick to it which is fine with us. We shared a steak/potato/green chile burrito and a breakfast burrito. Steak chucks were tender, potatoes soft, (could use more green chile sauce). Breakfast burrito was yummy and stuffed with bacon, potatoes and cheese. The salsa was tasty, chips the thick texture type. Some reviewer said tortillas not homemade, I beg to differ. You can't get that fluffy thick warm tortilla from a factory. Definitely homemade. Service was good. Helpful suggestions since our first visit. I even paid attention to what other customers were ordering. We went on a Saturday just after lunch rush. (I'm sure weekday lunch hours are extremely busy). The drive through was busy the whole time. Inside a steady stream of customers but no waiting. One guy said over at Intel he was told to come check it out. Nice to have a fast food place that's far superior to the chains. Found Burrito Express by accident, actually looking for another Roswell NM restaurant with Burrito in its name. Impressed with the brisk business they were doing; it's a popular place. It seemed to be well kept, clean, no glaring repairs needed. Food was good, I am a breakfast burrito fan, I would rate it as "what I was expecting". Meal was served quickly, food was hot. Coffee prices surprised me, $3.50, about 1/2 the price of the burrito. I would stop there again without any reservation or hesitation. read more

Came in to this location in February and ordered a breakfast burrito with the chorizo and it was pretty standard burrito and I did enjoy it and the staff was super friendly and lots of smiles so that's always a good thing. Their breakfast burritos start at six dollars and looks like they went up to about nine dollars and the restaurant was nice and clean and the bathrooms were very clean so you know that they keep on top of those things which is very important. read more

Mmmmm..... these burritos taste homemade from the fresh tortillas to the freshly scrambled eggs and sizzling bacon! My dad goes back and forth from Hobbs to Rio Rancho and craves these burritos regularly - even though he's allergic to the ingredients! THAT is how delicious they are! My dad gets the ultimate burrito because he can't decide which ingredient options he likes best so he literally gets them all! I love the breakfast burritos with potato, egg, bacon, and green chile. Their chile is a little more on the mild side but it is extremely flavorful! I am not sure if they sell the tortillas by the dozen but if they don't, they really should! I would buy them regularly. Long and skinny breakfast burritos. They were good, not great, but good. Ordered a Christmas breakfast burrito with bacon and a green/bacon. Both were well constructed but skinny. The Chile was mild but had good flavor and the bacon was cooked well (I do wish it had been a little crunchier but I like crunchy bacon) only complaint would be the portioning (I wish it was either a slightly smaller tortilla or more stuffing inside, Blake's and Golden pride being good examples) Overall I enjoyed it and look forward to trying the rest of the menu. read more

The Rio Rancho location is the worst that I have ever visited. very rude at the drive up window. After reading the other reviews its seems that the owners just don't care about negative reviews. I'm sorry I didn't go with other reviews! I just went through the drive up. The basic breakfast burrito was listed as $6.00. As was explained to me that concisted of egg, meat and chili. I asked to add potatoes and cheese. The cost jumped to to $8.62. When I asked, I was told that I had ordered a "big breakfast". And the extra $2.00 was for potatoes and cheese. Wow! Won't make that mistake again. Oh, I meant, I won't go there again!!!! It's a stretch to give them one star. Oh! This little place as many great items, but my go to is a green chili bacon burrito because they are addicting. The fresh tortillas make all the difference, plenty of cheese, chili isn't every too hot, potatoes are spiced right and it is a quick visit matching their express name. The nachos are very good at well. I've only eaten inside once, but the service was great. I stop by here sometimes when I'm on my way to work after dropping off my son and it is always a quick trip, but also you can tell the food is made fresh. read more

Yesterday my son and were in Albuquerque at your location Menaul and Carlisle.we currently live in Rio Rancho.So here is what we experienced at this location The breakfast burritos are extremely filled with more egg and meat compared to the ones in Rio Rancho.The red Chile tastes much better and the burritos with green Chile have more green Chile in them than the ones in Rio Rancho. The Rio Rancho location was more generous when the first opened their business there a few years back. We were surprised at the difference. read more

There are breakfast burritos all over. Everyone and their grandma has these, but unless you are eating a Bb at your New Mexico native mom or grandma or favorite auntie, or my house, you are getting a burrito with inferior tortilla! And probably inferior chili! Burrito express has the bomb tortillas and the chili is mmmmm... Every burrito is on point, and no matter your flavor you won't be disappointed! Not sure if there are any others in the abq metro, but if there's one good thing about all the construction in Bernalillo and Rio rancho... is that I get to go by more often!
