I went here on a date. When we got there it was pretty empty but by the time we left it was packed. A good place for an intimate time with friends or a loved one. The staff was very friendly. Will definitely visit again read more

We were in the area for a game and wanted to grab a quick dinner, we parked about a block away and once we got in we were able to sit down right away even though the place looked packed. The bar is on the right and wraps around while the seating is on the left and extends to the back of the restaurant, the vibe is nice with festive music, all the staff was nice and friendly. Service was fast and efficient, exactly what you need when you're trying to make it to a game on time. It was Thursday and they had happy hour from 4-7pm so we were in luck, my wife got a margarita for $7 and I had a modela negra for $5. As far as food my wife has the taco sampler which had 4 min hard shell tacos with meat of your choice, she's not a big eater so this was perfect for her, I on the other hand am a big eater so I opted for the burrito with steak, now I knew it was big but didn't expect it to be huge, anyway I finished it and it was great, inside was rice, beans, tomato and steak, on the side was sour cream and guacamole. I enjoyed the food and ambiance here, I would definitely be back. read more

First time here but I very much enjoyed this spot. We were seated immediately (table for 2). The food was awesome. Recommend the carnitas tacos and non-alcoholic drinks. The nachos were also great, lots of chips and even more loaded with toppings (though I missed the beans), but the shredded chicken was great. Our server brought us water immediately and the staff cleared our table so quickly when we finished with our plates. 10/10 would come again! read more

My friend who is yelper suggested this place. The ambiance is great. You have an option to sit indoors or outside. We sat indoors cuz we were coming a concert in 90° degree weather! The wait was very short. Im giving it 3 stars because the food was good! I'll start with all the positives. The food was excellent. I ordered the prawn fajitas. They were excellent. They were seasoned very well and the sides were fresh. My husband ordered the wings. They were also good! My friends got the quesadillas and the nachos. They said their food was excellent. We had no complaints regarding the food. My first issue was our server, Sebbis S. He threw the menus at us when we first got there. Quite frankly he seemed annoyed that we were there. He was very short and rude when we asked him questions regarding the menu. I wanted the taco platter with soft shells. After i ordered it, he screamed 'it only comes with hard shells and we dont make substitutions, okay!' I was taken aback by this because i typically dont expect servers to be rude. Its your job to take my order, i wasn't aware that i was doing anything wrong. He also got in to it with my friend because he kept putting his hand in his face. My friend asked him nicely to refrain but he kept doing it. He was very inattentive when it came to refills and in general. Im not sure if he didnt like us or he's just a grouch in general. The service was extremely poor. After sitting down, Sebbis told me that i could only redeem my 50% off coupon at the bar. I go to the bar and only after she hands me my drink she says i cant take it to the table. So what do you want me to do? Like seriously, dont give us the coupon if it going to be difficult to redeem it. She finally agrees and asks me to close my tab at the bar since they dont share tips. I can understand that. At this point, im annoyed by the back and forth. We were having a good night so i didnt let the experience ruin the evening. To be honest, i doubt I'll be back. The service left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

There were at least 10 4 top tables open but wouldn't seat a party of 2 in case they had 4 tops come in. Said there was a 30 min wait. With half the place empty. Seemed strange to turn business away just in case you get other business. read more

Fabulous drinks, excellent service and delicious food! We were in Brooklyn to go to another eatery and stumbled on this gem! Although it was too hot to eat outside that day the outdoor seating was spacious and inviting.Inside was equally wonderful and well air conditioned. Our server was excellent, he was really sweet and made amazing suggestions. He also gave us extra condiments when he realized the kitchen forgot to give us one of our accompanying sauces. The food was great and I was really happy with the portion sizes especially for this hip area of Brooklyn sometimes portions are skimpy. I would definitely return to this restaurant and even bring our entire family next time, it was just my daughter and I for lunch but I would love to bring the entire family for a dinner. read more

I kept passing this spot every summer and thinking I should visit, it always have ppl. So I finally got the chance to do so and was not impressed in no way possible. First I waited for someone to come to the table for our order, then when she came it was told to us that the tip will be in the check, even before we ordered. Ok no problem.. I ordered a mango mojito that came with 5 pieces of lemon already squeezed and twigs of mint that was mostly brown. I mention this to the guy who waited on me when I saw him which was sporadic ( I saw the guy who bust the table more) and he said to me that this is how they made the mojito there everywhere has a different style.. Ok so I am here to say that this is my drink of choice for years even as I travel and this is the first one that was completely un-drinkable .... For the food it was satisfying they took my tip in the check (about $15.65)and I gave the gentleman that kept the table clean a bigger tip read more

I've wanted to visit Burrito Bar for quite some time, and tonight was the night. However, we got off to a rocky start for two reasons: for some reason I thought the entrance was on the Flatbush Avenue side, but it's not, it's on the Prospect Place side. I was looking at my phone and kept trying to pull the door that's not an entrance. Second issue was when the hostess informed me of their new 2017 policy, that unless you spend $100, you cannot use a credit or debit card. I rarely carry cash anymore, and this policy would be a deterrent to potential future visits. After the rough start things picked up afterwards; the staff was very pleasant and the waitress was very accommodating and spent a considerate amount of time explaining the food options. I typically don't like anything explained or already know what I want prior to arrival, but her assistance was greatly appreciated. I opted for the Speedy Gonzalez (burrito with chili) and I was very pleased. A negative for me would be the nachos, which I found to be flavorless and just not good. I was not in the mood to consume alcohol this evening, but nonetheless the meal hit the spot. I would like to visit again, to try their margaritas; too bad their cash only policy may delay my next trip. read more

This is a great spot to grab a bite before going to the Barclays Center since it's just a few blocks away. The atmosphere is lively, also perfect for a post-work happy hour. All four of us had chicken fajitas which were juicy and delicious; the portion was large too. The guac here is excellent and you have the option of getting it made table side. The only thing I would say is that it does get pretty loud in here making it a little difficult to talk. I will definitely be back! read more

When we arrived a pretty blonde hostess with the naturally sultry eyelashes smiles and chimed our wait time would be 15 minutes, we gave her our names and sat at the bar, we received a text that gave us 50% of off first Margarita, the drinks were average, but the over sized straws was magic, and our pomegranate mojitos arrive with sprigs of sugar cane. The salsa was average and the chips were crispy and colorful, however I should have ordered the hand made guacamole which is prepared at your table and seasoned to your taste. When our table was ready we received another text and we sat outside on the sidewalk dining area and soaked up the sun. Our server was professional but extremely busy. We had to send the bus boy to fetch our server so we could place our order. I ordered the taco salad with lightly pan seared salmon and the cilantro dressing, it was great, the salmon was seasoned and cooked the way I requested. This was an average experience nothing earth shattering, no "ah-ha" moments, no over the top customer service...just average, but I will return for the guacamole and to soak up some sun. read more

Buritto Bar is such a cute Mexican spot to get some grub. I love the colorful atmosphere & the personable waiters/waitresses. It's a little hard to get through the front entrance because of the scaffolding that's surrounding it. It also may be easily missed if you're unsure where you're going. Our server Adam was a real sweetheart. He gave us ample amount of time to choose our drinks & entrees. He wasn't hovering around which allowed us to enjoy what we had. We didn't feel rushed to make a decision on choosing our next course. The complimentary chips & salsa was good. I wish the salsa was a little bit chunkier & served in a bigger dish. The piña coladas we had was good once we mixed it. They offer coconut shavings which made the drink even better. I think three piña coladas in & you'll start to feel a buzz. I ordered the Baja Fish Tacos. The tilapia was fresh but a bit too crunchy for me. I love a nice breading on fish but not overcooked. The pico de gallo, chipotle mayo & 2 slices of avocado was DELISH. It also came with rice & your choice of refried beans or black beans. I chose the black beans. The rice was a bit soggy once I worked my way to the bottom. I'm not a fan of mushy rice. I would visit again to sample other things from the menu. read more

I've been to Burrito Bar many times and enjoy going. The restaurant has a lot of seating including at the bar. In warmer months, there's outdoor seating too. This past Sunday a group of friends and I went to the restaurant after 9 pm. The service was good and although late it was still somewhat busy with more people at the bar instead of table service. I had the virgin mango Pina colada and the plantano veracruzano. The stuffed plantain with shrimp was good. Their Mexican food isn't the best I've ever had but it's honestly not bad. Their guacamole fresco is one of my favorites and their frozen Margaritas. This restaurant is a good choice if you're looking to have drinks and mingle with friends over some food. read more

Love this place, the atmosphere is so funkadelic and what's even better they have good food! The guacamole is delicious and they actually have my favorite hot sauce (el yucateco) as part of the condiment section. Of course, I have to mention the mini chimis, it's 3 deep fried mini burritos that are just exploding with deep fried flavor. Looking for a drink? the mawie wowie will get you good. I discovered this place after taking a walk in Prospect Park. Definitely a nice stop over after a good walk in the park. I have brought my bf and friends here and they all agree, we will come back. This restaurant had the full package! My fish tacos were great, the margaritas were tasty, and our server was great. Major plus for the vibrant and fun decor! We started with guacamole which was fresh and delicious. My table ordered fish tacos, steak tacos, shrimp fajitas, a veggie burrito, and chicken tacos. Everyone was very satisfied with the food and only had great things to say. As a party of six with numerous dietary restrictions like gluten free, vegan, dairy free, nut allergies, and pescatarian...the server was very knowledgeable of the menu and was quickly able to accommodate. My favorite part was the margarita special: green apple! I expected it to be too sweet and made from a syrup or mix, but it was made in house from actual puréed apples. Definitely recommend! read more

I've been dying to try this place... and I finally got a chance to dine here today for lunch. The beautiful weather permitted outdoor seating. So while we were being sunkissed, the waiter approached us to take our order.. I asked what frozen drinks he would recommend and he suggested a Frozen Canteloupe and Pineapple Margarita which was just ok..I ordered a regular Margarita for my 2nd round and it was waayyy better than the Pineapple/Canteloupe concoction. *APPETIZERS-Spicy Buffalo Wings=Perfection. Well cooked, seasoned and Spicy!! *ENTREE-Shredded Chicken Burrito aka For the Byrds-Nothing Special at all. It lacked flavor and was a bit bland.I had to add some Cholula Hot Sauce to it to give it some kick. The Guacemole however is extremely Delicious!! Kudos! The music varied from Bob Marley to Soft Rock to R&B.. The waiter was attentive and courteous! The other staff members were also friendly, prompt and attentive! I'll definitely go back. read more

Not super impressed. Stopped by on our way to a game at Barclays. The greeter had his back turned staring into the restaurant for a few min when we walked in to be seated until another worker told him to turn around. We got seated and it wa hard to find a burrito or aoft shell taco on the menu. I think we may have found one at the end but unclear. We ended up getting carnes asada that said no rice and beans buf then got rice and beans which we didny complain about. The small-med sized drinks were $10-15 each. They were okay. Overall the service, ambiance, food, pricing was mediocre and not clean and a bit overly priced. Wasnt a fan read more

I always get the 8 mile high nachos each and every time I come here, and trust me it's a lot to consume but I do it each and every time. So today I decided to have a self care day and took my self out , I walked in and sat at the bar . The bartender came and asked me what I wanted . I told him I wanted coconut margarita . The man served me the drink and it just didn't taste right. I told him I didn't like the drink I would like a regular margarita. He ignored me than I asked for buffalo wings he just ignored me cause I didn't see him put the order in. Once again I asked him can you change my drink I don't like it. I don't know if it was race thing or he just didn't want to serve me as if I couldn't pay for a drink and meal. He later told another employee to approach me and ask me why I didn't like . Than she comes back like ohh I just want to let you know it's gonna be the same consistency in the liquor. I told her thank you I don't want anything . Lol I'm so good off this restaurant. Never felt so uncomfortable read more

My review may be a little biased considering I'm an executive chef and restaurant consultant but it is what it is. The 2 stars are ONLY for the waitress that served my table, because although I hated my experience here, she genuinely was nice and attempted to assist in anyway she could. However, by the second horrible drink, I was completely over it and just wanted to leave. Party of 2 seated near the window immediately upon entering. The chairs are ripped and cracked and I had to exchange one with the other because the first chair I sat in was shaky. We ordered drinks which came promptly and while my sister enjoyed her drink, I ordered a mojito that was horrible. The drink itself looked great but literally tasted like carbonated liquor and water. Word of advice would be to muddle both the fresh lime AND mint and then add 1 Oz of lime juice after muddling in order to make sure the actual flavors of a mojito comes through. Adding about 1 Oz of simple syrup also balances the acidity and carbonation of what should be club soda added at the end. The frozen margarita was also tasteless and watered down, so it stayed untouched after 2 sips. The wings had absolutely no flavor except for the *slightest* glaze of buffalo sauce. Again, the other person I was with seemed fine. However, for me after 2 wings, I was insanely nervous about what would come out for the entree. The food eventually came out and while it wasn't bad, it surely wasn't great. If you're just looking for cheap happy hour drinks, I guess this is the place for you? I'm not sure. However, I'll never return. I wish this business much success. Also, to the owner, please don't feel the need to come and attempt to defend the foolishness by exclaiming how long you've been in business. Regardless of how long you've been in business, there many people on this platform who clearly have had a horrible experience. As a consultant, I can assure you that your business desperately needs a revamp. Times have changed and evolved and you would want your business to as well. Based on the reviews here on Yelp, the feedback OBVIOUSLY isn't as overwhelmingly positive as you claim. Again, I wish your business much success. read more

This is my third time coming to this restaurant and idk, i feel like the service kinda sucked this time around. It felt like everyone had just started working that same day - idk if im making sense. Anyway, the food was ok. I could have sworn i remember it being pretty darn amazing. When i told the waitress that i got a free non alcoholic beverage for checking in on yelp and confirmed that children did eat for free she laughed which kind of made me feel a type of way. Not everything about this review is negative, i did love that kids eat free ok sundays from 4pm-8pm and they paint their face and give them a balloon for free!!! I guess they are trying to do what they need too in order to survive , but then they should just keep it to pickup and delivery. First you come and the waiter was nice seats you ( there is no umbrellas or shading ) then directs you to look that the menu with the QR code. Ok fine . But then you go up to the bar and have to order and pay for your food. And it feel like your just eating at some random place, cause your food comes out in Togo Containers ! The food was ok. Better when it's not in a container before Covid . Now it's confusing for the customer and the waiter cause we don't understand do we tip him. Because you tip the bartender for Your takeout. You are directed to throw all your trash in a near by garbage and that's really it . read more

We went Saturday night with our kids, the manager was incredibly rude. He seated us as if we were second class citizens and forced us to breakdown our stroller even though one of the servers said there was plenty room to fit it behind the table. He then escorted us out when I said we'd rather leave than deal with his poor attitude.
