One of my favorite things about his place is their party time hours. I've ruminated on love lost, money found, and vice versa with great friends here. I also pulled off a great Mother's Day brunch. But mainly I come because I'm addicted to their chips and salsa and drinks. BB is a margarita bar primarily with Mexican fare made from fresh ingredients. I love coming for brunch as their omelettes are amazing. I order huevos rancheros with black beans and it's spot on. The lunch and dinner are decent; I get the fried shrimp and/or fish tacos, which I wait for by loading up on chips and salsa. Their tres leches cake is some of the best you can buy around these here parts, too. The drinks menu changes periodically, but they keep the tried and true. You can absolutely by any means never go wrong with their margaritas- the mango and strawberry ones are my faves. They tout their pina colada as being the best around. Don't look to me for argument. I tend to stick to what I know, but I was eyeing the Antioxidant Margarita today- blueberries, pomegranate, and acai, I'm coming for you next. I've seen many a server and busser come and go. Every once in a while, I'll get lackluster service, but overall the staff is great, and I'm always greeted with a smile. I love a rainy Sunday when I can park at an almost empty bar and decompress after a long week. But I also know that if I get here with some girlfriends on a Friday night, it's gon' be lit. The food was good, the drinks were decent. The servers and hostess were friendly but the manager was an A hole. We had an issue with a drink and wanted to change it. My friend goes there all the time and always gets a frozen margarita with no complaints. This time, it seems as if the bartender over blended the margarita and maybe didn't put enough ice, the drink was literally 95% foam. We brought this to the servers attention and she had to check with the manager. The manager said we are more than welcomed to order another drink but we still have to pay for the one we do not want. Obviously we were not happy about this but apparently we were not the only people who had an issue that night and when the manager was called to the table next to me he simply did not care for the customers concerns at all. The customers next to me asked him "how do you expect people to pay for something that they did not specifically asked for". Apparently they wanted margaritas as well but they wanted theirs on the rocks instead of frozen and the server may not have asked them how did they prefer them to be made. The manager shook his shoulders and basically told them "too bad" and walked away. His interpersonal skills as well as his conflict management needs some real work or he should be replaced altogether. They lost business that day which also means that his servers also missed out on earning their tips for a living. The 3 stars are for the food and the staff. I had the calamari, fried shrimp and pork tacos. Shrimp fried just a little too hard but not to a point where I couldn't enjoy it a little. My friends had a chicken quesadilla and the steak with potatoes. You have to ask for salt and pepper. It's not on any of the tables. The hostess at the door, Tash was so nice although she had a wait for a table she advised us to sit at the bar. We sat and drinks but she still came to us and asked if we would want to move to a table when one became available. So thoughtful! But we stayed at the bar, and our bartender Alexis was personable and funny. The server sebbis is still the best server in the world if you were wondering!the food runners were so nice as well. Now the food. I think for the price the quality of food is only subpar. The burritos are huge but only so so, it may have made my friend sick. Tacos and nachos are really good. Chips and salsa used to be free but not anymore which made me sad. But me nor my friends were in love with anything we ordered, besides our drinks. The drinks are strong asf and delicious! I went to this restaurant today for a girl date. We chose to do outside seating which is great if you are dressed for the weather but if you're outside in the element prepare for bugs. We dealt with quite a few bees but that's not a big issue when the food is great. Our bill came up to about 80 dollars which included two quesadillas ( chicken and shrimp) two beverages each person. The food is fresh and I've never had an issue while ordering my regular chicken quesadilla or sizzling chicken fajitas. I have been coming to Burrito bar for over 15 years.. And i have over 60 check ins and was the Duke of Burrito bar And i can say tonight i had the worst experiences i ever had at the restaurant.... It started ok the bill comes i pay the bill i walk to the bathroom and when i come back my wife tells me while i was in the bathroom the waiter "FAVIO F" came and was upset about the tip and was very aggressive with his questions about while he felt it wasn't enough.... If i paid the bill no way should he come to my wife asking about anything you ask me!! When i come back to the table.. he comes to me and asks how was the service and the tip wasn't 18% I then explained to him i left the tip I left because i did not have any change on me.. Favio then tells me I could leave a bigger tip with the card... i tell favio i did not like him coming to my wife about anything if i was in the building Mr Favio then has the nerve to tell me if i don't leave a bigger tip he would remember our face next time we come to the restaurant and our service would be bad (After 15 year's and over 60 visits to burrito bar .. i have never seen Mr favio before and hopefully it's my last time seeing him... that is not how you talk to customers I then ask to speak to the manger While waiting for the manger another customer over hurd me and my wife talking and said Mr Favio said the same things to him upset over the tip that he was left... After a 10 minute wait another employee tell us the manger is outside... i then go out side and the manager is talking to Mr Favio And off jump the manager asks me why i am upset and talking to his employees like that I tell the manager you have no idea what Mr favio said to me and my wife and basically threatened us in the restaurant the next time we come back... In all my years i have never seen this manger before He was slim.. hispanic seemed to be in his 20s maybe 30s Instead of trying to find a good solution to the problem he was making things worse.. not good at conflict solution at all... The decore was nice and welcoming (Jimmy Hendrix was an unusual touch though). Drinks are a bit pricey so we got a pitcher of mango margarita. It was a bit too sweet so we didn't finish it. My friend's quesadilla wasn't toasted or grilled so it was a bit doughy. I had beef and chicken tacos and they were pretty good. The table side guacamole and chips were very tasty. Over all the meal and vibe were good but not sure if I'd go back. Nothing really stood out. Side note.... The jalapeño appetizer is really, really hot. I love spicy but this was way too much. Normally restaurants remove the seeds and ribs before serving whole jalapeños, but they didn't. Not satisfied at all! Waited extremely to be serviced and when I order the guacamole, the waitress said they no longer have the one you make to order, just the premade one! Why??? They moved to an online service instead of actual people being apart of the dining experience. It took us 20 minutes to figure how to order using the complicated app. It definitely took away from the usual great time we had there in the past. Came in for Brunch on Sunday and sat at the bar. Seeing as the other places in the area had an average of a two hour wait, I settled for this temporarily. Now don't get me wrong the food is great for the cuisine, but I was severely craving Chicken and Waffles, so I settled for drinks instead. This vibrant restaurant was inviting, quirky, and reasonably priced. I would recommend coming in for a bite or drinks if you're in the area. My friends and I were in the area on the hunt for a late night snack; this place was perfect. We ordered a salmon burger, quesadilla, and vegan-friendly black bean soup. The food was great and matched the price for the quality. We also ordered sangria, a Bahama Mama, and a bong water shot (don't ask). Our drinks didn't disappoint and were well worth the price.
