Burrito Amigos is the hiiiiiiit! If you've been in Eugene long enough, you've been to Burrito Amigos a handful of times at least. It's a great staple for a giant wet burrito that will keep you full all day, for a plate of enchiladas when you're hungover... when you need a quick bean and cheese burrito wrapped in foil to eat on the road. I love their green salsa more than any other place in town. This location on hwy99 is my new favorite since the Hilyard location closed. This is the only one I ha e ever been too, but I love how there is always plenty of room for seating and a picture of legendary revolution leader Poncho Villa (if you ever get to Phoenix, go to Poncho's and ha e a Poncho Villa, you'll love it. I went to Burrito Amigos for the first time in years. It was very clean (the restaurant) and the person at the counter was great. The food. The red hot sauce, not hot and tasted like swamp water. It was actually gross. I ordered a potato taco (way more lettuce than anything else) and a combo plate. Tamale and enchilada. There is zero salt or seasoning. The tamale? Yuck. It could have came out of a can. The enchilada sauce? I will never again go there. Coming from a Mexican family, this is offensive to my sensibilities. While I watched them prepare food for the drive through there were so many flys. Everywhere! Constantly landing on the food prep area. Personally I have an overreaction to flys so it might mean more to me than others. It's gross. I try to ignore it and go sit down to eat. Flys constantly landing on me and trying to land on my food. I felt like I was in prison and had to protect my food constantly. When I left to get a refill I had to place napkins (which I had to ask for) over my food as a fly shield. They started a really good deal on Mondays and you can get two bean burritos for six dollars and their big bean and cheese burritos very big. Don't make them smaller now burrito amigos now that I've said that they're big don't make them small but they have a good deal on Monday. I have had the best experiences at this location. The food is always hot and fresh. My favorite things to order are the popitas with the creamy chipotle sauce. The service is always very pleasant. The service was pretty nice, though our wait time was a little long for there being around 2-3 other customers, we still got our food hot and ready. Sadly, cashier/whatever other job was chitty-chatting it up with the other cashier, which (in my eyes) wasn't a efficient way to get things done. Now, for the grub, I ordered a Amigo Burrito and drink, the Amigo burrito comes with a meat of your choice, some guacamole, cilantro, tomato, onion, lettuce etc. it is a very delicious meal and I recommend it, the drink I got was their horchata which was a treat for the tastebuds and a great way to wash down your food. Due to a work event, I had my first Burrito Amigos experience yesterday and again today for lunch. The selection at the shop was decent, which a fair number of meats, choice of meals, and veggie options. Yesterday I got an adobada burrito, and today I got a small carnitas taco salad. The meat in both meals was pretty good--the adobada was flavorful and the carnitas were juicy with crisped bits--but otherwise, both meals were just middling in flavor and not particularly memorable. The small taco salad was big, but it was really messy since it was piled on a paper plate to the very edge and even over the edge in some spots. This seems great at first, but a fair amount of toppings fell off and I'd rather eat my toppings then sacrifice them to the table. Also, don't expect a fried tortilla bowl; the taco salad is built like nachos with a bed of tortilla chips instead. While the food was just average, the service was great. The woman working the counter was very welcoming and personable. She remembered our group on our second visit, so much so that she knew our salsa preferences. When one of our orders was wrong, she had it remade immediately and delivered to our table in a lightning-fast 2 minutes. Both days we went during the lunch hour and our food was ready quickly, 10 minutes or less. This won't be a staple in my dining repertoire, but it's good to know it's there and has friendly service! read more

It used to be that you could order a burrito & it would be loaded with meat & the other accompanying items would compliment the main ingredient, but then things started to change & has become the norm for all their locations. Lettuce is bad a burrito and it's my fault for not seeing it and having it taken off but mine had some raw green pepper or something on it that's not listed in the ingredients. I have gone here for years, and always loved the service. The people are so friendly, and they keep it so clean. My favorite thing about going here is the ice in the coke. They pair so well together. I used to like breakfast burrito's, but my last visit confirmed that I am not a fan. I am pretty sure it is due to the over use of the gross eggs, and not getting an even amount of bacon, or sausage, and potatoes mixed with the egg. It makes me gag. I always ask for no beans with my breakfast burrito. So the next time anyone in my family asks me to get Burrito Amigo, I will happily get it for them, I will just get something on the lunch menu, and save myself from wondering if there is going to be too much egg this time. I suppose I could ask for no egg, but I am now just so turned off of them. I almost forgot to mention the last time I was here, I bought not only my Son's breakfast burrito's, I also bought some for their friends. Well one of them showed me her sausage...it looked pink... she took it up to the counter, and was told it was pre cooked. I sure hope it was! It just looked gross, and also made that egg taste in my mouth taste even worse! I just had that feeling I should have stuck with ordering my usual lunch/ dinner items, and let the kids get their breakfast burrito's. Not for me! Not anymore! Yucky! Well once again disappointed by another burrito spot here in Eugene. So, the ordering process went well, and English was spoken well, and order repeated to us no problem and the place was clean when we arrived and food was prepared quickly as indicated that it would be. My wife devoured her breakfast burrito quickly she was very hungry. My burrito started off good tasted good had flavor then as I ate on realized some ingredients were missing from a very simple to make burrito. Chicken, Potato, Cheese, Rice, and Beans they cheese and beans were missing no where to be found. Also what should of been missing were the bone pieces I found that I could of choked on here is a pic of the big one I found with a nice sharp edge to match. Had my wife called them back and we were informed that they order this meat to be skinless and boneless well that's obviously not the case and your cooks should still be checking because how does a bone this size end up in my food it's a good inch or more long. We also were informed that even though their beans are tripled washed there are sometimes little pebbles or stones in them why would that be in beans period that doesn't make sense. So luckily I didn't have a bone and stones to choke on. Oh wait just had the bone and no stones cause my order was missing my beans thank goodness though huh. Secondly the manager was like well what do you want me to do about it and it's like you tell me first off you should be like I'll inform my cooks and have them be more aware and check better before serving your customers food with bones and stones in them, but she didn't say that we told her we just want you all to do more aware of this so this doesn't happen again because alot of people don't speak up well I am a reviewer and I do speak up so needless to say my wife and I will never go back to this place. If you do people really check your food and get your refunds back right away which we weren't even offered but that's okay this review during these hard times should help bring some change on its own. read more

This is my favorite burrito place in town hands down, and their Hwy 99 location is my favorite though they're all pretty much the same* Vegetarian and vegan options! Must have: The Bueno No-Cheese! The beans really set this place apart from the other places in town, hand washed and cooked, no canned beans. The rice they put in is really good too, combine that with lettuce, guac, pico and green sauce and you're in heaven.
