When I am craving a burrito, Burrito Amigos is my goto to scratch that itch. I thoroughly enjoy the house burrito and usually order it with Carnitas. Well the GF and I were hungry and she was craving a burrito so off we went to Burrito Amigos. Apparently the Gf was seriously hungry and opted for some taquitos with chicken and they were delicious. We also got a carnitas stuffed quesadilla, and 2 orders of churros not withstanding out burritos. Yes we went home with a bunch of leftovers but that's ok. This establishment is always meticulously clean which is a huge plus and the employees come out and clean tables as soon as patrons leave. I prefer my churros lightly dusted and they always accomadate my request. Coupled with some horchata and I am in heaven.

I came in having a god awful day after my grandmother got ran over but as soon as I stepped foot in here April immediately sensed my frown with her empath abilities and personally gave me a foot bath!! I also came in right after my dentist appointment and again April sensed it! She chewed up my food and fed it to me mama bird style This is a selfie I took after April turned my frown... upside down!

While we were on the wait list for dinner across the street at Gianni's we decided to walk around…read moreand take a look at the other stores in the area here by the UO campus. I had the intentions just to browse until I saw their cheese cake brownie. I had no idea what Gianni's had on their dessert menu and I didn't care to wait and find out. I chose that before we went to eat, and we had dinner I dug in and it was love at first bite. Since I'm not a coffee drinker I never step into small cafes on my own or look around to check out pastries, but I'm glad I made the exception here.

Sweet Life Petite is the mini-version of the original Sweet Life. This one's located on Campus…read more(well, not technically on campus but like right by campus). It is indeed pretty small; there's an "in" door and an "out" door so and since the line can form pretty quickly. They're pretty fast though, so even if the line is close to the door (which it was once when I visited) you'll still be out within about 10 minutes or fewer. One of my favorite things from Sweet Life are their morning pastries--specifically, their cinnamon roll and the lemon cream bun. Both are amazing, and whilst the cinnamon roll is my personal favorite, if you have to choose get the lemon cream bun. It's different from something you've tried before; you can't get one of these everywhere and it's amazing. Their tiramisu is good too, and the some of their other cakes. Check out their specials--there's always something good to choose from. This location has no dedicated parking, just a few spots on the street (shared with Prince Puckler's, the pizza place, and other businesses around). There's a lot of outdoor seating, nice for warm summer evenings.

The ice cream here is so creamy and full of natural flavor. In my ice cream, you can taste the fresh vanilla, bananas and the super gooey caramel sauce. Yum!

We're talking early 80s... a whole different world. You had folks still hanging on to the 70s like it owed them money bell-bottoms, wild personalities, and people that were just downright funny without even trying. I swear, half the entertainment wasn't even the ice cream, it was just sitting there watching humanity stroll by in all its glory. But let's not get it twisted the ice cream absolutely hits the spot. This is that soul food for the student grind. When studying runs too long, when the day's been rough, when the Oregon heat sneaks up on you, or when you just need a little reset... this is the place. Scoop after scoop, flavor after flavor, it never lets you down. And being right there by the University of Oregon? Come on. There's just something about grabbing a cone on campus that feels right. Timeless. Like it belongs there. Customer service has always been solid, the vibe is iconic, and the whole place carries this charm that refuses to fade. Some things change over the years... this place just keeps being exactly what it should be. Five stars. Always has been. Go Ducks !!
