Stopped in right as happy hour began which is from 3-6pm during the week. I haven't been here in over a year and last time it was for brunch, which I enjoyed. Overall, I had a good experience- however the items I got were partially bland or just average. Let's get into it: Drinks: my girlfriend got a smoked old fashion and I a skinny margarita- both were amazing! Their signature cocktails are only $8 during happy hour (only the old fashioned) and I love a great deal! Service: By far my favorite part of the experience. When we visited there were only a few other patrons but our waiter was informed, attentive, anticipated needs, and popped up at just the right times which I think is so important to keep the conversation and service going Food: I could have ordered the house salad and nothing else- it was DELICIOUS!!! I asked if the house dressing came in a bottle I could buy. I'm a salad girl and a great simple one is something I look for. I got the avocado ranch flatbread which was on happy hour and the elements were there but just not well put together. I ate two small squares and declined to take any home. My girlfriend got the steak frites - the cut of meat just wasn't great which could be a sign of our food issues as Americans idk. Great service and even open during snowmageddon! I'd come into town specifically to meet a few of my college buddies and it was snowing like crazy. A lot of places were closed down, but these guys were open and I was glad. Not only was it a great atmosphere and fantastic service, the food was amazingly good! What I really enjoyed were the appetizers upfront with the cauliflower bites taking the number one spot! Crispy and so good. The tater tots were a must have and the shrimp was amazing. Overall, good food and service - would return. We had a large group at lunch time on a Wednesday. Service was smooth with quickly getting drinks, taking orders, and with food coming out. Most of us at our end had salads. The beet salad with added chicken was very good. Most beet salads a don't have a lot of greens, but this was more greens with some beets. Nice ratio! Other favorites were the wedge salad with steak. We also had an order of fries and tater tots for our side of the table. Fries were good, reliable fries. The tater tots are very different than typical tater totes. They had seasoning and different texture than I've seen other places. It reminded us of the flavor of potato pancakes. read more

Went with the kids after a long day of traveling. Everything was great. From the tater tots to the burger. The kids loved their chicken fingers and rigatoni, I had the smash burger which was exactly what I wanted. Wait for them to great you B. Immediately say "party of two" Well we waited, then the gentleman said "what can I help you with?" I was totally caught off guard; am I in a department store or a restaurant...Food, a table... Very hard getting over the strong seafood smell. I would imagine this may be fine for people that eat it but I am highly allergic to it. This was the plan for today so we ordered reluctantly from the happy hour menu. My wife reserved the front room at Burntwood for our 2 children's family birthday party last night. She even went so far as to call a week out to make sure the front room was still reserved for us. When we arrived at the restaurant last night for the party we were told we were bumped from the front room. Burntwood did not even give us the courteous of a phone call days prior telling us we had been bumped. We've celebrated many family events here and never had an issue. The manager Lawrence was talking out of both sides of his mouth and was unclear whether we needed to have a deposit. We were never told about a deposit for the front room as they have never requested that in the past but would have given one if my wife had been given the option. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back due to this horrible experience as well as the disrespect of not getting a call ahead of time. Additionally, we will not be spending our money in the future at any Monven owned restaurants. read more

I went here for lunch with co workers. The word tavern is a little under stated for this restaurant. It is a very nice up scale "tavern". Decor is amazing, lodge like, open air seating and airy in the dinning area. I had the lunch chili with half a tavern smashed burger, Fantastic. I was visiting family in the Solon area over memorial weekend and had dinner at Burntwood tavern on night. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and and a great patio area. We were there on Memorial Day so maybe not the best day for judging a restaurant as many staff way down for slower business. Our server did a great job food was a little slow coming out of the kitchen. We had a blackened salmon salad , fish and chips , the smoked wings and an app of house made tots. Maple infused Manhattan was a joke as bartender poured Evan Willam's from the bottle and dumped cherry juice into a diluted drink. BWT has lost me. Walk in at 8pm. Terrible service at the bar. Guy smells like an ashtray. Manager arguing with him re: who takes next break. Two girls roll up and want shots of Fireball. They are "out" but they beg him to go to the "room" and find more. What happened to the classy little joint we knew? Second dude showed up. He's working his second shift. How do I make a Long Island? Finally got his attention. He keeps talking, saying he's going to "snap". "Why do I do this?" "I can't keep doing this." "This is BS." The fact he has to do DoorDash too, is ridiculous. To him, because he tells us. To us, because his service to the six people (total) at the bar suffers because of it. Actually, second guy's first time behind the bar. Waiting for food. They gave our reservation for 8 people to someone else so we had to wait and instead of being in the private party room we were at two tables that did not line up so two people had to sit at an area where two tables met at different levels. (One table was over an inch lower than the other). The drinks took a long time to get and one of the drinks ordered was never brought to the table. The meals came out several minutes apart and the last meal came out after several people in the party were done eating. The food was good. read more

Came in on a Sunday. They had a build your own bloody mary bar. Plenty of tasty toppings to add to it. For my meal I got the Half sandwich mahi mahi and wedge salad. Really Really good. Collectively the Burntwoods I have gone to in the area have significant issues with cleanliness not just in the restaurant but also with their silverware. The clean silverware is not just a Burntwood issue but a current industry issue. Standards have gone down, and the more I go out to restaurants the more I feel I can do a better job making the same meals at home. It should be the opposite, people should want to go out more and enjoy themselves. The decline in restaurants as a whole began before Covid, and Covid itself just accelerated the issue. Good customer service has also taken a hit, with some hires acting more like they don't want to be there. Food isn't just something we eat but also an art form. walked into Burntwood Saturday evening just before 7PM. Three people at the bar with the waitress standing there talking to the three customers, she was not preparing any drinks. I was gathering my purse, phone and keys to leave 10 minutes later, when she came over with a menu. I already knew I wanted the firecracker shrimp and cauliflower appetizers for a meal to go so I told her I didn't need a menu. I also told her I will take a glass of the house Cabernet while I wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. One agonizing hour later and three "your order will be right out" I left. There is NO EXCUSE for that .... only 2 people more sat at the bar after I came in. The outside bar had 5 people leave in the span of that hour, and the main restaurant had plenty and I mean plenty of empty tables and booths. The food was good, but it was not worth that hour wait. Never, Never, Ever again. And to think I bring out of town company there. Not sure if it was because I sat in the bar, or because it was a to go order or what the issue was. Stopped in for Happy Hour after a couple years' absence. I used to frequent BT for lunch and Happy Hour when I worked in the area and then I moved, so it's been a while. Oh my gosh, not only did I have incredible companionship with dear old friends, I forgot how much I missed the warm ambiance and comfortable yet classy decor. On top of that, I REALLY missed their strong cocktails. I ordered a few of the Manhattans which I've always been a fan of how they add some delicious muddled cherries and aren't afraid to pour it stiff. We got the tots and chicken sliders as an appetizer during the Happy Hour window (which is before 6PM) and it was nice they still honored a HH menu because many restaurants have done away with it. The tots are hands down amazing served with three sauces and you can never go wrong with potatoes, am I right my Irish Yelpers? It was the first time I had the hot chicken sliders and they were PERFECT. Pickle was slightly sour and crunchy, provided just the right amount of texture to this soft plump bun. Mmm. The sirloins were ordered by my gal pals and they came served up with some sturdy looking asparagus that they both enjoyed! I got the chicken Milanese which had a cream base with spinach and potatoes. The chicken was - oh my gosh, chef's kiss! I am very pleased with our dinner selection. Me and my work colleague picked this place primarily due to how cute it looked from the outside. We are in Ohio for work and we're starving by the time we came in tonight around 8pm. We immediately sat ourselves at the bar where the start of this experience took place. I have come to learn Dillon the bartender has no business being a bartender. I asked what white wine did they have, and he seemed immediately confused by the question. I specifically asked for a Riesling or moscato. He then said he has Riesling. My colleague asked for a mojito. He asked if she wanted the dragon berry and she immediately said no thanks. He proceeded with "are you sure people like it." In which she responded she just wanted the standard mojito. He placed my wine about a foot and a half away from me near the edge of the bar and then 3 minutes later came back over with another glass and was like "oh I already poured you one." He is either under the influence or the flightiest person I've ever met. As a previous bartender I was shocked. The mojito was terrible and sent back and replaced with a glass of red wine. A wet glass of red wine bc he had rinsed the glass and did not dry it? He is short and rude and then ask if we want food. We request menus in which he places in water and when we ask for coasters he just places one under hers and negates me completely. The bar was a mess! At this point we are fed up and ask a waitress passing by if we can be moved to a table with her. This is where our experience begins to get better. We come to find out that sonjya (hopefully I spelt that right, none of the servers or bartenders have name tags?) was a nice breathe of fresh air and had she been out only experience this might actually be a 5 star review. She immediately corrected the wet glass. She took our order and was pleasant and at no point gave us a hard time for being tired and hungry. She was pleasant and kind and attentive. Our cauliflower appetizer was awesome! My fish tacos were so good and the molten lava cake was a very un needed treat! We appreciated you sonjya and I hope this gets back to you! Went for Happy Hour 4-6 p.m. on the Monday before Ash Wednesday. Only a few people were there. The menu is on a QR code you snap with your camera phone. Paper menus are also available. For an app we had delicious Tavern Tater Tots to have with our drinks. Unexpectedly, we were handed a Mardi Gras menu. We ordered the Seafood Gumbo and Jambalaya. The in-the-throat spicy Gumbo was a bowl for $6. It was good. The Jambalaya was a mixture of shellfish, andouille sausage and chicken with red beans and rice sides for $18. For dessert we couldn't pass up the Pecan Pie with vanilla bean gelato. It was one of the best pecan desserts ever--dense and chewy with a big scoop of gelato. This was the deal for $5. We dined here on Easter via their brunch service. NEVER AGAIN .. They seriously need an efficiency expert to help them with brunch service before they alienate more customers. We had never dined at a Burntwood Tavern in the past and the price for the Easter brunch seemed fair so we thought we would check it out. The wait in line for food (what there was of it) was insane .. we waited nearly 25 minutes only to find out that when it was our turn to select what we wanted nearly half of it was already gone - they left people standing around in a very tight area waiting for food to be replenished. The omelet station is right at the beginning of the buffet line which confused people that did not want an omelet on whether they should continue to wait behind those who did or go around them. Twice we returned to our table only to find that our silverware was gone and not replaced .. so twice our food got cold while waiting for more silverware. Twice I asked for salt and pepper and twice a member of the wait staff came over to retrieve it for another table. .. Odd right? .. a restaurant does not have enough salt and pepper shakers so they do not need to take them from table to table? The waffles were by the desserts which was an odd spot for them. The waffles also went fast so that is another tight area where people had to stand around waiting for food to be replenished. Overall the staff seemed overwhelmed.
