I went to see Amandeep Mann at Kent Family Practice in 2022. I was supposed to get my annual…read moreMedicare physical. I was given a physical, but I did NOT receive a Medicare physical - and I only know this only because when I returned in 2023, the Medicare physical I received was entirely different than the one the year before. Before I went in for the physical in 2023, I asked how long it would take and the receptionist said 30 minutes. This is important to me, as I am a teacher and need to let the school know about coverage. While at the appointment, they told me they needed a urine sample. If I'd known I would not have gone to the bathroom before I left for the appointment. When the Nurse Practitioner Mann came into the room (30 minutes later) and asked about the urine sample - when I explained - she gave me a bottle of water. Why didn't her staff do that? They just kept pointing me to the bathroom and telling me to try. Also - when it was time to be weighed, I walked toward the scale - a medical looking scale - and was told, "No not that one" and they brought out a bathroom scale that was dirty and broken on one side. Whaaaaat? That appointment took an hour and 30 minutes. An hour more than what I was told!! After that hour and a half appt, I received the results of the blood work and needed a follow up appt, but - I also needed another appointment for a follow up on cat bite I'd had treated at Urgent Care. I called to make an appointment and to see if the appointments could be combined. The receptionist said she wasn't sure, but would check. I then asked how long she thought it would take if..... and before I could finish my sentence she said "30 minutes". Ugh. I was really upset and told her to let me talk to someone who knew the answers. Amandeep Mann got on the phone and I told her how I had been misinformed about the approximate length of my last appointment, and that her staff didn't seem to know answers. She said, "We are doing our best here!" And I said, "Well it's not good enough!" and she said, "Well then you can go and find another doctor!" I said, "I will!" - and that was then end of them. If a medical office does not have a staff that makes patients feel cared for, and it cannot provide what it's supposed to during an appointment, and it's a little dirty - I don't want to be there. I have a doctor at UW Valley Med now, and I feel very cared for. I do not recommend Kent Family Practice at all!!!

During that time I had to look for medical care elsewhere and discovered Pacific Medical. My initial contact was with a receptionist (name ?) who was the most pleasant receptionist I believe I've ever met. She was so helpful and arranged an appointment for me to meet a new PCP (Primary Care Physician). She transferred all my medical records from UW Medicine making the process painless. Did I mention the receptionist was so very pleasant? After my initial meeting with my new PCP, I was thoroughly impressed with the staff at Pacific Medical. The medical facility is really close by my apartment, so traveling back and forth is not a problem. Lots of parking, with about half dozen Handicap parking stalls directly out from the front door of the clinic. Perhaps the time spent with negotiations between Aetna & UW Medicine was my good luck.

I was extremely nervous, but once we started talking, he was such a kind and caring man, that my nerves just faded. I felt like he listened to me and we worked out the best possible scenario for my needs. One thing I really appreciate about him is that he sat down and talked with me without typing. Every doctor I have been to in the past types their notes as they talk to me and I don't really feel heard. I am very grateful that I found him and I also want to say how appreciative I am of his nurse, Caroline, for reaching out to me personally the week prior to see how I was doing. I can't remember any prior doctor's office staff reaching out to me like that and she spent a considerable amount of time talking to me. I felt so much better after our chat! I definitely believe Dr. McLaughlin when he says Pac Med puts their patients first.

At 70 I am healthier now then I was at 50. The staff is courteous, efficient, and they remember your name. Very neat clinic in the Hillman area of Seattle…read more I normally get my annual visits done at the PolyClinic. My doctor called out and they wanted to schedule me three months later. I called Hillman City medical to see if I could have an annual visit/labs done. They scheduled me for the following week. I went in and to my surprise, had a very thorough initial intake/work up done. Labs were done right in the room versus me heading to a lab and waiting to be called. I was only expecting my usual cholesterol and metabolic panel labs. I reported eczema and coughing during the middle of the night. I had a steroid inhaler prescribed for my night coughing fits I had ever since my COVID infection. I had been finding myself coughing every week or two since catching COVID as an awakening call in the middle of the night. I had many restless nights from the intense, successive coughing and each time, I tested negative. After two months of inhaler use, I haven't had a single coughing fit. Amazing. For my eczema, I had tacrolimus prescribed. I stopped picking up my medication because my insurance restricted the drug to prior authorization only and had been using steroids for eczema flares. The clinic was able to quickly appeal insurance and I was able to pick up the medication. Aside from thorough work up, the part I thought was neat was Dr Đang Do went and discussed my coughing fit with the other physician. Having one doctor is great but when they share their knowledge amongst each other, even better.

(Even on weekends and holidays.) If I need to be seen, they can get me in that day or the following day. Annual exams are never hurried, and test results are fully explained. I'm not only getting great care, I'm saving money by avoiding costly emergency room visits. I'm also confident of getting referrals to the best specialists.

She has a appointment in five months with a neurologist but we though this place might help her manage some of the symptoms and feel better before that. It is the only serious medical issue she faces and yet they won't take her explaining they don't have the "band with" to manage her condition. I suspect they have labeled her in advance as a "white whiney woman" - a term male doctors often use to describe female patients who are aggressive in getting help or perhaps they just though she'd cost the practice too much money. Either way, no help from them.
