Everything you do not want in a doctor: awful staff, long wait times and inattentive Doctor who…read morewill bounce between multiple patients DURING your visit. I will no longer return to this office due to the shoddy service received here. The doctor clearly overwhelms his schedule to the point patients wait 45-60 minutes past their scheduled time. When you do see him, the entire visit lasts less than 10 minutes. On top of that, he offers no advice, personalized care, or any real conversation. He clearly wants people in and out as fast as possible. They will bill you through the roof, though, for the 10 minutes they see you. Office staff is also inexperienced, apathetic, and some of the billing managers are rude.

Dr. Shirman truly cares about his patients & goes the extra mile with them. He'll sit & listen as long as you need him to, cares about his patients concerns, & gets to know his patients outside of their medical history even remembering details they've shared about their lives. He's extremely knowledgeable, incredibly good at what he does, & very friendly & personable. He makes going to the dr's feel like grabbing coffee with an old friend you haven't seen in a while. Also, although sometimes an appointment needs to be scheduled somewhat in advance, if you have an urgent situation, his receptionist Sue will do what she can to get you in as soon as possible. Seriously could go on & on about how great of a doctor & person he is & what a great staff he has, definitely would recommend him.

He is kind, compassionate, caring, patient, and attentive. In sharp contrast to my experiences with my previous physician at one of the big clinics in Seattle, I never feel rushed when I see Dr. Harrington. For the first time in decades, I feel like I have a true partner who is committed to improving my health outcomes. It has been easy to schedule appointments with Dr. Harrington and he follows up with me after our visits. He also diagnosed a serious health issue that had been undiagnosed and untreated for years. If you are looking for a traditional family doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Harrington.

Back about a month or two ago, Aetna & UW Medicine were having prolonged contract negotiations that…read moreseemingly wouldn't have any settlement in a timely manner. During that time I had to look for medical care elsewhere and discovered Pacific Medical. My initial contact was with a receptionist (name ?) who was the most pleasant receptionist I believe I've ever met. She was so helpful and arranged an appointment for me to meet a new PCP (Primary Care Physician). She transferred all my medical records from UW Medicine making the process painless. Did I mention the receptionist was so very pleasant? After my initial meeting with my new PCP, I was thoroughly impressed with the staff at Pacific Medical. The medical facility is really close by my apartment, so traveling back and forth is not a problem. Lots of parking, with about half dozen Handicap parking stalls directly out from the front door of the clinic. Perhaps the time spent with negotiations between Aetna & UW Medicine was my good luck.

I was extremely nervous, but once we started talking, he was such a kind and caring man, that my nerves just faded. I felt like he listened to me and we worked out the best possible scenario for my needs. One thing I really appreciate about him is that he sat down and talked with me without typing. Every doctor I have been to in the past types their notes as they talk to me and I don't really feel heard. I am very grateful that I found him and I also want to say how appreciative I am of his nurse, Caroline, for reaching out to me personally the week prior to see how I was doing. I can't remember any prior doctor's office staff reaching out to me like that and she spent a considerable amount of time talking to me. I felt so much better after our chat! I definitely believe Dr. McLaughlin when he says Pac Med puts their patients first.

I started a new job and while they have day one coverage, I do not have the information yet for the policy since it just started. I was told by my employer and the insurance company they could use the info and pay for the appts after I got the insurance card. However, they refused to see me, refused to even let me talk to my doctor, and refused to fill my prescription, all because I couldn't pay the FULL amount upfront. I even offered partial payments and they declined. It is sickening when doctors choose money over the health of their patients. Sickening that money is more important than relieving suffering for people, as doctors do.

I went to see Amandeep Mann at Kent Family Practice in 2022. I was supposed to get my annual…read moreMedicare physical. I was given a physical, but I did NOT receive a Medicare physical - and I only know this only because when I returned in 2023, the Medicare physical I received was entirely different than the one the year before. Before I went in for the physical in 2023, I asked how long it would take and the receptionist said 30 minutes. This is important to me, as I am a teacher and need to let the school know about coverage. While at the appointment, they told me they needed a urine sample. If I'd known I would not have gone to the bathroom before I left for the appointment. When the Nurse Practitioner Mann came into the room (30 minutes later) and asked about the urine sample - when I explained - she gave me a bottle of water. Why didn't her staff do that? They just kept pointing me to the bathroom and telling me to try. Also - when it was time to be weighed, I walked toward the scale - a medical looking scale - and was told, "No not that one" and they brought out a bathroom scale that was dirty and broken on one side. Whaaaaat? That appointment took an hour and 30 minutes. An hour more than what I was told!! After that hour and a half appt, I received the results of the blood work and needed a follow up appt, but - I also needed another appointment for a follow up on cat bite I'd had treated at Urgent Care. I called to make an appointment and to see if the appointments could be combined. The receptionist said she wasn't sure, but would check. I then asked how long she thought it would take if..... and before I could finish my sentence she said "30 minutes". Ugh. I was really upset and told her to let me talk to someone who knew the answers. Amandeep Mann got on the phone and I told her how I had been misinformed about the approximate length of my last appointment, and that her staff didn't seem to know answers. She said, "We are doing our best here!" And I said, "Well it's not good enough!" and she said, "Well then you can go and find another doctor!" I said, "I will!" - and that was then end of them. If a medical office does not have a staff that makes patients feel cared for, and it cannot provide what it's supposed to during an appointment, and it's a little dirty - I don't want to be there. I have a doctor at UW Valley Med now, and I feel very cared for. I do not recommend Kent Family Practice at all!!!
