My entire family has been going to Dr. Khan for many years and she use to be on top of things until…read moreabout a year ago. Now she seems distracted and uninterested. No follow thru in their office with test results over the years but now it has reached an all time low! I had some serious concerns about cancer this past summer and she was the first in line to receive the test results. She knew my deep concerns, as any patient awaiting a cancer diagnosis would have. She went on vacation for a week and upon her return was just too busy to follow up on my results. I became that annoying patient calling constantly to push her to get the results. I finally gave up on her and got them from another source. It was nearly three days later that I finally got a hurried call from her that I had cancer! Three days after I already found them on my own. We have since transferred to another doctor who cares and is responsible! If you just have a cold or flu then this office is fine....just don't get sick!!!!

Recently, I needed a the same meds refilled as I had gotten to the end of my prescription and was going to run out. I admit I waited too long to make an appointment (and shouldn't have let my prescription run out) as she hadn't seen me in a year, but her office demanded I come in the next day for an appointment and wouldn't give me a week's worth of medication so I could try to get an appointment that wasn't in the middle of the work day. (This medication has serve withdrawal symptoms) I am an hourly employee and she doesn't see patients outside of 9-5 making it difficult for people who work to make appointments.

This review is for CHI Franciscan in general, not the Seahurst clinic…read more CHI has the most confusing A/R and billing system ever devised, and they have eliminated the position that helps patients to navigate it. Several years ago, my wife was hospitalized in the CHI system, and when we had billing problems, we were able to resolve them by going to the hospital and speaking with the financial counselor. (Even though we earn too much for financial assistance, the counselor was very knowledgeable about navigating the system.) Fast forward a couple years, and another hospital visit. We set up a payment plan, and after six months of regular payments, we started receiving dunning letters and demands for payment. I tried several times to resolve this over the phone, and got increasingly frustrated... particularly when CHI sent the account to collections. It was only then that I discovered this was for a $200 office visit that had been erroneously not included in the payment plan! No one from the billing department was able to determine the error (apparently, they are just as confused by the system as patients) I feel that if the financial counselor's office was still open, this would have been resolved. I am posting this on YELP because CHI's web page has no e-mail or snail mail contact information, and I got nowhere with phone conversations. CHI Should at a minimum: 1. Revamp their entire A/R procedure, make it simpler to understand 2. Apply payment to the oldest charge (the $200 that went to collection was for an office visit a month before the hospitalization. I was frustrated when CHI kept sending me demands for payment when I was making regular payments) 3.Include actual contact information on their web site, so patients don't have to go to a third party site like YELP 4. Reinstate the financial counselor positions at their facilities. When you talk to someone from billing, they are trying to collect payment, the financial counselor is a patient advocate.
