Bulgogi Bowl
Meg K.

This place is very delicious. A little pricey but I justify that by making my meal last at least 3 days because the portions are large. I've noticed a quality difference between eating in and taking out. *much better to eat in. The Bulgogi Bowl is my go to and I highly recommend. It's card only, no cash and there is no phone to call and place an order which is a little inconvenient but not the end of the world.

I ordered this on delivery, so can't comment on the vibes in person. But this was so good! I ordered the rice bowl with bulgogi beef and the seaweed japchae rolls. The bowl was a pretty good sized portion, and the beef was a great texture - not chewy, nicely tender, and with great flavor. The japchae rolls were nice and crunchy, and the sauce on the side really added to the flavor. I'm looking forward to trying more items from Burning Rice soon.

Bimbimbap.

The bimbimbap was so authentic and the best I've had in awhile. No place like this in San Antonio so I had to try it since I was in Dallas area. Not very busy when I went so service was very quick. The place was very nice and well kept. If you don't know what Bimbimbap is you should just try it if you like Korean food. Highly recommend this place!

Adventure for a lunch. An interesting experience of environment, ordering, interacting, and presentation of the food. A few screens to place your order that allows you to scroll down to see what might be next. A lot of options and may not know what you will get if you have not experienced the restaurant. We both ordered the hot Bibimop bowls. My sponsor ordered the Shrimp as protein. I had the chicken and pork. The cast iron bowls kept the food very hot. There were 5 or 6 sauces to choose. It was a fun experience. We did not need the double protein in our order. We had plenty of left over take home. Add the sauces to direct the flavor you desire. My sponsor said she would like to return for another adventure.

This place is the chipotle version for dolsot bibimbap and I'm all for it! We've been learning the hard way that Asian food in this area of the metroplex can be an extreme hit or miss PLUS this place is a chain - so we approached this place with caution. Luckily we were pleasantly surprised! The dolsot bibimbap comes out sizzling hot and the toppings are generous. Bulgogi is on point and it's such a good option to have japchae. And sure - there are some things that are kind of Americanized like the chicken bites and certain sauces. That being said, they taste good so who cares ? We love bringing our baby here because it's a big sitting area and they have plenty of clean high chairs and boosters available - plus there is just the right amount of ambient noise that a rowdy baby won't bother anyone too much. Ordering is all done on a touchscreen near the entrance and the servers wheel food out, sizzling hot! That being said, if I was any closer to Zion market or Hmart area, I would probably just go there for bibimbap. Definitely recommend if you are close by looking for something fast and tasty.

Excellent food. The kids bowl is plenty even for my husband. They also offer complementary soup and salad bar.

I got the smoked turkey with green beans and the burnt in beans. They really are one of my favorite side dishes to eat. The two guys carving meat were funny, friendly, and helpful. They graciously gave me a taste of the turkey before I ordered it and I'm glad they did. I love the family style seating. This place is nice and comfortable. Unfortunately I always go during work so I never get a beer. They live up to their name, fully supporting this great country and the constitution that defends it So go, support local barbecue!

I ordered the most excellent BBQ Sundae that consisted of loaded mashed potatos and Mexicican style street corn topped with delicious chopped brisket and jalepeno cheddar sausage. The slicer graciously allowed me to substitute the black pepper sausage for the jalepeno cheddar and the combination was absolute dynamite, ya hear????? The service was kind and enthusiastic just like at many of the other reputable Texas BBQ joints. Barbecue folks=Good folks. My husband just had a side of the cowboy beans to enjoy for lunch. I thought the beans were excellent. I noticed too that they also have burnt end beans that are more like a baked bean dish. We chose a two meat brisket platter with brisket burnt ends, sliced brisket, the cowboy beans and Mexican street corn to take home. We paid a premium because our platter was essentially a double brisket platter. No problemo! Just give us that brisket goodness! We thought everything was fantastic and would definitely recommend as a great place in North Richland Hills for barbecue. I appreciate the patriotic theme of the restaurant and simply adore the name.

But the quality of bar b Que here is okay not great. I'd also say Smokey John's bar b Que or Dickey Bar-B-Que is better than this but it was a great adventure to somewhere completely new to us and the staff was extremely friendly! The ribs were huge and smoked not a lot of seasoning and I love seasoning. I ordered brisket bites and they were okay not my fav and I prob wouldn't order them again but try something else. Really it's one of those hole in the wall places that might surprise you. We went for the company not so much the food. I ordered pickles bc they looked good but we're all mushy and I didn't like that at all. I mean the photos will let you know what you get , the coleslaw tasted like something you get out of a tub at Walmart or similar not homemade.

I did ask the server if she recommended chopped or shaved and her opinion was shaved since chopped reminded her or a sloppy Joe which I usually like and was sharing with a toddler so I went that route. It was very dry and bland. I paid extra to upgrade to okra which was a let down too as it was super burnt and therefore dry. I will say the appetizer sampler was delicious. The corn and the cheese curds were the favorites. My 7 year old nephew got bottomless ribs which looked super bare (and he ordered 3 plates) but they were bottomless and apparently really good so take that as you will. Service was good and we were seated quickly. I think most other people enjoyed their food okay but mine was a major letdown, don't order the chopped brisket or fried okra..

I hit the drive-thru and the service was excellent. I could even understand through the speakers! Nice displays of menus and specials. Looks like they even have a Thanksgiving package (hint hint). Lots of drive-thru ambiance. I ordered the 2-meat plate (brisket and sausage), and instead of 2-sides I replaced with a loaded baked potato. When asked which sauce, my eye started twitching. I dont like pouring sauce on meat after the fact...I prefer it baked and baked in. But...I told them id take their spicy BBQ sauce on the side. So...once I got home, I tore into the potato. It was HUGE so I cut it in half. The meat did not have sauce baked and baked in, but it was good. Really good. And then I went crazy. I tasted the spicy BBQ sauce. Very good. And went crazier and poured it over the brisket, sausage, and baked potato. There was a lot of food on the plate, so I saved half for leftovers. It was really really good and I'll definitely be going back.
