7 years as a member of Burn Boot Camp Poway!! I've never been committed to any gym or workout program for this long. 7 years speaks volume. At Burn, I've found the most incredible, supportive community. It is my home away from home. Every workout is different and will challenge you. The trainers motivate, encourage and make sure you get a great, safe workout. My journey has come with some injuries along the way - it happens as we age a little more. No matter where I am at in my journey, every single trainer has made sure to give me the appropriate modifications. The staff and owners are equally amazing and pour so much into Burn. And childwatch... I no longer need them since my teen does the workouts with me. The complimentary childwatch is what initially drew me into Burn. Trust when I say, the childwatch team is fabulous. They take such great care of the kiddos. I recommend Burn to everyone. I love this place!

Still so happy to be a part of this community! Every trainer is so dedicated and inspiring! The workouts are fun and challenging! Plus there is an awesome child care team so you can ensure your kids are well taken care of!

I love working out at Burn boot camp! The trainers are so encouraging and ready to provide any accommodations needed. I have mixed connective tissue disease and joint pain and I am able to get a good workout with their support. Childcare is also available which is another plus. And they provide focus meetings where you meet individually with the trainers to go over your fitness and nutrition goals. If you're looking for a gym I recommend burn!

Let me start off by saying, if you previously attended Burn BootCamp before the end of 2021, this place is completely transformed.

Hello, I enjoy working out at LA Fitness and especially like the yoga classes. However, for the…read morepast several months, the air conditioning in the yoga room has not been working properly. Yesterday it was so hot that I couldn't finish the class. Before going in, I asked the person at the front desk if the A/C in that room was working, and she said yes. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The main gym area was a comfortable temperature, but the yoga room was extremely hot. I hope this issue can be fixed soon. I enjoy the classes and would like to continue attending them in a comfortable and safe environment. Thank you.

I have been training with Austin C. at LA Fitness Poway for almost a year, and my husband has also…read moretrained with him during that time. The progress I've made has been remarkable, and I can honestly say that joining the personal training program has been one of the best decisions I've made for my health. When I started, I was dealing with weak muscles, excess weight, knee discomfort, and very little confidence in the gym. I was hesitant to try many exercises and often worried about making my knees worse. Austin consistently adapted workouts based on how my body responded, gradually building strength while respecting my limitations. As I improved, he appropriately increased the challenge and introduced more advanced exercises, helping me gain confidence rather than just follow instructions. The progress I've made has exceeded my expectations. I've become significantly stronger, reduced body fat and inches, improved my balance and functional strength, and regained confidence in my ability to exercise safely despite my knee issues. I can now perform exercises I never imagined I'd be able to do. Perhaps his greatest accomplishment as a trainer is that he gave me the knowledge and confidence to train independently. That, to me, is the mark of an excellent trainer. Austin strikes a good balance between encouraging you and pushing you beyond what you think you're capable of, while still paying attention to form and how your body is responding. He celebrates progress, explains the purpose behind exercises, and genuinely wants his clients to succeed. My husband has also had an excellent experience training with him, and we've both benefited from his coaching. We highly recommend Austin to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated, and motivating trainer. We wish him continued success in his career.

It's the nicest 24 hour fitness near Poway as far as I can tell. Super spacious, tons of equipment,…read moremostly clean, at least in the workout area. The one thing that makes this place difficult to workout at after work is that 80% of people using the gym are teenagers between the hours of 5pm-9pm. I would not mind this IF NOT a for the fact that it's very common for the girls to take selfies in the locker room-- which makes it incredibly difficult for everyone else to change. **Edit** To the copy paste reply that was given to this post: It's laughable that you think I'm gonna do unpaid administrative work that is YOUR job to do in my free time just to make sure you guys communicate between locations. I do enough of that with every healthcare and insurance organization I have the misfortune of dealing with in my own life, thanks. If you can't bother to communicate within your own company, then I very much doubt that you care enough to change anything once the complaint actually reaches a real, local person. Come on.

AVOID THIS GYM IF YOU CAN!…read more A good portion of the equipment is out of service at the Carmel Mountain location. Unfortunately, conditions have continued to deteriorate. They now have no measurable A/C, and the ventilation they used to have with their ceiling fans has been non-existent for almost a month due to an electrical issue. The list of broken equipment and TVs continues to grow -- even after new management took over 2-3 months ago. If anything, the change has only made the situation worse. Management continues to ignore these issues despite complaints, repeating the same lines about waiting on parts or repair approvals. Obviously, the corporation only cares about taking your money. IF you are considering joining, I would take your money elsewhere.
