I came on the soft opening on 3/5/2020. The grand opening is the next day and I was told the first 500 customers get a tote bag. This location replaced the old Babies R Us. I haven't been into a Burlington in years but it pretty much looked like a bigger Ross (which they now share a parking lot with). It was very organized and clean probably because it's still new but it had a bigger selection. As a mom I was intrigued by their kid section. It almost reminded me of Targets kid section because they had cribs displayed and strollers too! Pretty awesome! Lastly, the checkout process was similar to Marshall's and the staff was friendly! I will definitely come back!

This placed opened in March 2020? Where have I been? Oh, yeah, shelter-in-place due to Covid happened also on March 2020 and we were all too paranoid to leave our homes, let alone shop for non-essentials. Fast forward to almost a year later when we are still a bit paranoid to leave our homes but now, we want to go out and step a bit out of our comfort zone. In this case, I needed some relaxing tea as my supply went very low and I was tired of the lack of choices I got at the grocery stores. My go-to for caffeine-free tea has always been the discount stores like TJ Max, Home Goods, Marshall's but those are all located in Fremont and a bit for me to drive. So off to Union Landing I went. First stop was Ross because I was able to get my teas here before Burlington opened but the choices this time were slim to none, so I had a good excuse to go next door to Burlington. They share a parking spot so we just walked it. Mask is required and they have guards to make sure you have it on. They also have hand sanitizers as you walk in. My son was with me and this used to be a Babies R Us and, for some reason, he said that the interior still reminds him of BRU. I used to shop here with him when it was BRU, up to when he we around 6 years old. He even pointed out to me where Kiddie Kandids used to be at. Anyway, this place is very big with a lot of spaces to walk on and there are definitely huge choices especially in their women's section from make-up, toiletries, clothing, bags and shoes. It's an all-in-one stop shop! I like how clean and organized everything is. I did find all kinds of caffeine-free teas and got several boxes along with so many snacks that you wouldn't see at grocery stores. The prices here are very competitive. When you check out, as always there are more awesome merchandise showcased as you wait for your turn. It's a good way to past time, bad if you're on a budget. When I paid, the cashier had me sign up for some sort of reward's program. I'm not exactly sure how it works but they did e-mail me a copy of my receipt after I got a paper copy of it. We will definitely come back here. Between Burlington and Ross, it's easy to find what you are looking for and even items you didn't think you need. We definitely needed some time to do our browsing as there is so much to see.

Original price $89.00 got for $16.99 (around $18)

Aisles are walkable and easy to navigate. What I really like is they have lots of products here/wide range of new and old selections. You'll find some good value for the prices and quality here. Good shopping atmosphere. All positive. I purchased some smaller loose items along with a new non-ticking wall clock. Everything is still looking good and useful inside. Good experience. I just wish that prices would come back down like the old Daiso days when they first opened in the San Francisco Bay Area. Overall, great place to shop. It's more unique than other Daiso locations in the region. It's even better than ones in Las Vegas region. I think this Daiso stands out and deserves more recognition for outstanding business operations and they're always fully stocked with new items too. Love this location very much. Ron and Ranjita made the whole experience pleasant. We had an apt with RR and 13 of us showed up. (Only 9 of us needed clothes but the other 4 were there for support.) Having so many ppl in any shopping situation would have been overwhelming anywhere so I don't recommend that in general. But RR welcomed us into their homes and was able to show us many styles of both men's and women's clothing. They were patient in explaining the different types of clothes and materials. When we left 3+ hours later, they had taken great notes on what we wanted (colors, sizes, styles) and told us they'd order more items for us to come back to look and try on. Happy to report that when we went back, we had a full outfits for the family. My husband and son had custom made outfits (due to specific sizes needed) to match my beautiful saree which also coordinates with my daughters outfit. They had a blouse stitched for me with a beautiful keyhole design. In fact our experience was so good, we recommended RR to more family members. Including the pre wedding activities along with the wedding, I believe our family purchased about 20 complete outfits. We even found our jewelry and accessories there. So if you're looking to purchase some Indian clothing at a good price while working with some friendly and kind people, give Ron and Ranjita a call. You won't be disappointed! And before we went to RR boutique, we did visit other stores in the Bay Area (Fremont, Dublin, and Berkeley) Pricing at the other store was MUCH higher. (aka Union City) I finally had the time to check this place out on my lunch break - given, I was in an instant desire to let go & get my hands off of some fresh kicks (Air Jordan 4 Retro Bred ReImagined - sz 10), that I had bought over a ShockDrop from their Nike SNKRS app hat my homie hooked up for me not too long ago! Don't let that person know, tho! (cuz I will find out! Haha JK) I used to be somewhat 'so much' involved in the shoe game / hypebeast lifestyle growing up.. I remember so much back in high school, with my part-time job in the library shelving books, yet I'd fork over almost my entire paycheck to get some J's... but then, it sorta just stopped once I graduated high school & went to college - up 'til I was gettin' into my early twenties, and had phased out of it & moved on to 'grown man shoes', as my best friend would say back in the day not too many years back. But then I go to find out that it is not a store open to the public. *Unstoked*. But rather this is a Company Employee Store. Meaning a company or place of employment has to sign up with them (not really sure what that entails), then with a code/invite, the employees of said company can now enter the store and shop to one's content. I go to find out that my work gets involved in this annually, so I finally get a chance to scope it out. You have to bring the invite (a flyer for us with a code) and some proof of employment (a work badge for me). It is kind of a run-around but there is a benefit to all this. There are 3 glaring benefits from my perspective. 1. Being invite only and not open to the general public, the place is not crowded and cluttered. Very clean racks and displays. 2. Lots of legit inventory, so not a mish-mash of odd sizes and discontinued styles like factory stores. Felt like a kid in a candy store. Quite organized too, easy to find designated sections. 3. There are perceived deals/values here. Now I will point out that the brands sold here ie Columbia, Prana, Sorel etc are premium brand names and are usually not cheap. I actually find a full priced item to be borderline insane/expensive. Any Columbia gear I own are either gifts or things I got on some sort of sale/discount. Here at this store everything inside is 40% off (taken at the register). And even some items with certain highlighted tags, may be discounted even further to say 50-60%. A much better deal considering the quality. And after I went through their register to complete my sale, I was given another pass (good for 3 other guest too) to shop within the next 30 days. And there was a coupon attached where $20 can be taken off if spending reaches $100 (pretty darn easy to do). So another 20% off. They know how to market cuz ya know I want to come back for that. All things I restrained myself from getting on this last trip...will just wait til the next out. Bet!
