We called ahead on a Friday to see what the availability is and it's only walk-in so we went after…read morework. The staff was friendly and helped us understand the process of picking out a piece and painting it. There are also instructions on the wall on the steps you need to take to decorate your piece and there are labels everywhere to make sure you know what you're doing. When you first walk in, you pick a piece of pottery out to decorate/paint. There are a ton of items to select from including bowls, mugs figurines, and plates. I picked a little bowl to paint and pulled up my Pinterest board for inspiration. I went to go pick out my colors and they all had swatches on them with 1-3 coats of paint to show you how it looks when fired. They also have precision tip paint bottles (in the same selection as the regular paint) for little details and stamps. They provide you with assortment of paint brushes, decorated pieces for inspiration and different foam applicators for ombre looks. They also give you ceramic palettes and a water mug to clean off your paintbrushes. After you're done with decorating, you clean up your items and put them in the correct compartments for the staff to wash. Then you pay and they tell you when you can pick it up (usually within a week). There was only one staff member when we were there, but she was super helpful and kind. As we left around 6 PM on Friday, it got very busy.

I found out their store was in Snohomish and set a date to go up and take a visit. All of their pieces were surprisingly affordable and even more beautiful at their Snohomish shop. We ended up purchasing a whole lot of planters, bowls and vases and using them as the centerpieces for our wedding! Everyone loved them and commented how unique each one were. My husband and I now have Bruning pieces all over our home and use the smaller bowls for side dishes or ice cream! So versatile and I don't think I'll ever get rid of them. Looking to expand our collection soon! I've met a sweet lady, Catherine, who's helped me a few times as well as the owner, who took me into the back to pick out some of their top pieces. This local art gallery is very friendly and accessible. They run a variety of shows on a theme, and…read morethe art is always fun to examine. The curator, Lyussy Hyder, is knowlegeable about the artists' works and is very friendly. She's happy to have anyone come in and enjoy the art without expecting anyone to be "arty" or rich. At Christmastime they have a show where artists are in residence and creating new works. Art is also displayed in rotating theme shows at the Sisters Restaurant in the same building (open weekdays only for breakfast and lunch) and in the Espresso Americano cafe in the Everett Public Library. The art is reasonably priced, too, if you fall in love with a piece!
