I had never touched clay before and decided to take the 6 week beginner class for fun. The class…read morestructure is great, starting with learning how to make a basic cup, handles, bowls, and how to glaze. There was also plenty of opportunity to get creative and hand build other pieces. The studio was clean and had solid lighting with the windows and individual lamps. The best part was Instructor Day! He was super knowledgeable, answering questions, helping with wheel techniques, and guiding the class through the learning process, from working with clay to understanding glazes. I had unlimited access to clay during the course so I was never worried about restarting a piece. I was also able to come in and practice on an additional day outside of class time. I'll 100% be taking another class and would recommend it to anyone interested in learning pottery!

Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly employee, and when I told her I was new to the hobby she took her time explaining different types of glass, showing me a grinder and giving me some advice about choosing glass for my budget and skill level. She left me to browse but came back to check on me, which I found very thoughtful. I really appreciate that Covenant has a "small projects" section with smaller pieces of glass- perfect for getting a good variety without breaking the bank. A different employee rang up my purchase and was also extremely helpful, friendly, and encouraging. The atmosphere at Covenant was very peaceful and it made me feel at ease. I will definitely be back to buy more glass (and maybe take a class!) at Covenant.

We wished the tables were larger at the venue so we could actually have our supplies and wine glasses not toppling over but we've been to other venues with Corks and Canvas that were more spread out.
