I found this dinky park on the map, since it didn't exist on Yelp search for park, and stumbled upon this quaint patch of grass. This is great if you're looking for a casual hangout spot and happen to have portable chairs or picnic blankets handy. There's also some gated xeriscape garden adjacent to the park on the north end, whatever the fudge xeriscape means. It looks pretty awesome from the photo I saw on the official website, but I don't think I'll be coming back here.
I pretty much just came here because it was free and I was done taking photos at Alhambra Park, which is literally just down the street. I drove here in like a minute, no thanks to all the stop signs, and a minute later, the same woman I saw jogging along the street of Alhambra Park passed by on Alhambra Rd! I guess she prefers jogging around parks than in them.
At night there's only one lamp to light up the entire park, and not a particularly strong one, so I didn't feel compelled to walk across the field and try taking any interesting photos. I suppose it's a great place for any twilight rendezvous for your liaison. There's nothing here. Not even squirrels or crickets, or whatever. Just a bunch of grass.
If you can call a plot of grass with a couple trees, a trashcan and one lamp that flicks off from time to time and no bathroom, no playground, no structures, no sand, no tables or chairs, no concrete, no paths, no flowers, no proper signage and no wildlife a park, then sure, this place is a park(!). read more
