Our situation is that the builder of our new home designed the HVAC system without dampers to balance the air. Some rooms are cool, other rooms cannot get cool enough... There's really no way to fix that without an entire new system, and it is still new, so we have to look at other solutions. Andrew was extremely knowledgeable and explained our options. If we replace the ceiling registers with the correct kind (builder used wall registers) it will help... Andrew was very helpful, not pushy or trying to sell us anything. Called and made an appointment to check out a faulty outlet that blew out. I had previously called another company earlier that I had a horrible experience with and was hoping for the best based on a recommendation. The technician actually showed up early and went to the source I stated where the problem was and what other outlets were affected. He inspected it and started working on it and he was done before I knew it - It was a wire that was not connected properly that I had replaced earlier, no danger or damage - just needed to be corrected. He even showed me how the wires go if I choose to change it in the future. He double checked everything before he left and said everything is fine and nothing is overloaded or incorrectly attached. September 17th Burgeson's came out to service ac, The tech asked if he could use side gate to access, I said yes, he left gate open when finished. I crated my 2 small dogs while he was here. My neighbor told me my dogs wee loose in front yard located on Colton Ave. She had never seen my dogs out front so she put in backyard and closed gate. Called due to a possible electrical issue and had Manny come out to come check it out, I ended up being right. Manny was super professional and personable. He was able to diagnose the problem and was honest and upfront about our options, and was extremely knowledgeable and kind enough to explain to us what he was doing as he was working on the issue, and also gave us a simple breakdown on how things work and what to look out for and such. We'll definitely be going through this company in the future, and will be setting up a panel upgrade with them in the very near future as well. Burgesons is our hero. Hottest weekend of the month and our AC fan stopped working 6pm on a Friday. Called them at 6:10pm and they immediately answered and scheduled to service our unit 3pm the next day. Amazing! Zeke, our technician, even came 30 mins early and was delightful to work with. We are on their biannual mainland plan, so luckily the fix wasn't bad. Just a broken bracket on the fan. It was the best $89 fix ever in this 104 degree weather, especially with trying to keep a 3 month old baby comfortable. Thanks you! The receptionist explained to me she needs to talk to Forman as she doesn't want to misinform me on price. She put me on hold and talked to him. I really have mixed feelings about Burgenson's. there are local business and I always try to support Redlands based businesses. I've used them for two different air conditioner replacements in the last 10 years. We had recently moved, so we used Costco as a referral to get a better deal. In the past, I never got a second estimate but this time I did. My bid from them was $12k with around a $1k rebate, so around $11k. I went on Yelp and looked up the highest rated air conditioner contractor in Riverside and had them come out for a bid. Their bid was $8k. that was a pretty huge difference in price, so I definitely encourage everyone to get more than one bid. When Burgenson's called to check, I let them know the price difference. They did offer to possibly meet the price if I sent them the other estimate. They explained that the difference in price was due to the quality of installation. Let's be honest, you're simply detaching one unit and attaching another unit ... I don't understand how that would cost 3k more dollars. Ultimately, I went with the other company because they gave me a very fair up front price from the get-go. I now wonder how much I overpaid on my prior two air conditioners? To be fair, Burgenson's always did a great job with no issues, but so did the other company. Hopefully Burgensons will review their pricing structure. read more

A quick google search landed me to this A/C company and I decided to give them a call. After all, YELP had some great reviews. I was having problems with my A/C unit blowing hot air and it was getting unbearable in this heat. Rick showed up at my door and spent about an hour checking my A/C unit. Then, he came back to me and said that he had some very bad news. He wanted to sell me a brand new A/C unit and his explanation was very vague. He indicated that my A/C unit was about 33 years old and needed to be replaced right away and said it was a fire hazard. He gave me an estimate for R-22 freon that was $425 for up to 5 pounds so I decided to go with another company. I paid Rick $79 for this diagnostic checkup that I learned later wasn't even done on the right A/C unit. A day later, I called another company and they indicated my A/C system was from 2005, making it only 9 years old. I had sufficient amounts of freon and the capacitor was the only thing that had to be replaced. I was relieved and ecstatic and made me realize how much more expensive this company was compared to others. Apparently, Rick checked the wrong A/C unit. I live in a two story apartment and Rick was not able to discern my A/C unit from my neighbors thus giving me a wrong diagnostic information and a quote that was overpriced regardless. I would avoid coming here since they get paid on commission and their prices are more expensive compared to others. read more

Diane, as you were not there you are unaware of what was spoken between your consultant and I and then also from the phone call I received from his boss who called me after her got back to work. This being the case you have to go on the word of someone who is lying and I know this because I know what both of your employees told me. It was not a misunderstanding or a mishearing as your consultant and I spoke on this for a few minutes. Your consultant did in fact tell me what I stated above and to top it off his boss proceeded to tell me he once worked for Carrier and could personally vouch to that fact because he saw them coming off the same manufacturers line. He then proceeded to ask me if I wanted him to forward me an email stating the fact. (Which I wish now I would of said yes too) Either your just someone who does crowd control knowing what is said to be true or you have employees who blatantly lie to you and keep some of the information to themselves to avoid any consequences. Now either he's misinformed and needs to be retrained or purposely misleading people for the benefit of your company. Either way it's something that needs to be addressed on your end. read more

Where do I start. I had another company come out to do a duct cleaning (which I later found out that duct cleaning is a joke and wast of time and money) while out here they told me the furnace was in rough shape and if I didn't spend $800 fixing it that it would break at any moment. My home is only 3 years old so this sounded odd. I called Burgeson to get a second opinion. Brock came out and serviced our furnace he informed us that our furnace was in great shape and nothing was wrong with it, aside from changing out the filter, everything was tip top. Best $89.00 I've ever spent. I appreciate a business that still believes in ethics and putting the customers before themselves. Had a great experience with Burgeson's yesterday for servicing one of our properties. Lance was punctual, knowledgeable and professional. He was quickly able to pinpoint and correct a small issue with the A/C unit and even got the old furnace working again like new. While working on the furnace, he warned me that a new pilot assembly might be required, but in the end all was well with the one we had after some heavy cleaning/wire fastening. He did not try to sell us an un-needed part to fluff up the bill, and the final charge was more than reasonable. Burgeson's replaced our entire AC system over the summer; we wanted to wait at least a couple of months before writing our review so we could report the complete experience. First off, Rick arrived at our home and spoke plainly without a hard pitch. Unlike the other AC companies, he actually ascended into the attic to inspect our furnace/coils. He gave us a few options and then headed out. There was no pressure and he was clearly knowledgeable and professional. After weighing our choices and finances, we called Burgeson's back and asked them to install an entire new AC system; it was not cheap. But the HERO program made sense and our system up to that point was more than 30 years old. It was time. Chandler and Joshua came and installed the system. They were polite, on time, and friendly. They were clean and very conscientious about keeping our home/carpets clean. I appreciated that. Burgeson's supplied us with all the necessary certification and information regarding the HERO set-up and made it easy. Afterward, the City came out and we passed the inspection with flying colors. When he asked who did the work for us, I told the inspector and he responded that Burgeson's has an excellent reputation. Even though it always hurts to put down a lump of hard-earned money, my husband and I could not be happier with our new AC system (we're talking STELLAR performance here) and with the professionalism and skill level of Burgeson's. I have recommended this company to all my friends and family and would definitely use them in the future again (though we don't expect to need to for many, many years!). read more
