I stopped here on my way to Newport for lunch. Since I don't live anywhere near one of these, I had this on my list of places to go. It didn't disappoint. My chicken sandwich and rosemary fries were really good. Not really a whole lot to say otherwise. I didn't mind paying for sauces too much, but I'd never seen a fast food restaurant charge for the one sauce. This place is conveniently located just off of I-5, and the service was friendly. I stayed here for a long time eating and reading my book before heading on to Newport. It was an enjoyable meal. They don't have a big selection as far as salads go, but next time I may skip the rosemary fries (but boy were they good!) and opt for something healthier. I will stop here again on my way to or from Oregon. I like that they have a rewards ap and they give you a ton of points for a small purchase. It does take a while to "order up" to a reward, but it's a nice feature to have. Plus they use all local ingredients, which I love. read more

Glad I trusted the good reviews on this. Went here after a trip to the great wolf lodge and it exceeded my expectations. My husband had the burger no6 and he's a real food snob and he LOVED it. Daughter and I had the chicken sandwiches and they were so good!! The sauces are all amazing and their Sunday's were great and the orange dream was really good. Blueberry milkshake 5/5 I wouldn't get it with whipped cream again (too heavy) but this flavor was delicious. Spicy veggie burger 4.5/5 Chipotle mayo was not spicy and they went a little heavy with it imo... But this is probably the first decent veggie burger I've ever had. It's made with adzuki beans. Title: Angry employees kept screwing up, got annoyed with me, and finally ran me off I hate writing things like this. For every negative Yelp review I write, I make myself go write two positive reviews about places I like. Because I don't just want to be someone who only posts to complain. But if I feel the need to drive off with no food, while waiting for my second food correction in an hour, I have to let the owner know. I really don't ever want to come back. I've been coming to this Burgerville, making the same exact order for probably 15 years. (I also make the exact same order at other Burgerville's with, honestly, 100% success so far, in 20 years. So that's pretty great. But I'm directing this at this particular location.) I make the order so often, that I still can't adjust to the new naming. I just say it /exactly/ the same, every time. "Tillamook burger basket, dry, with a coke." I tell people I like Burgerville in particular, because they know what "dry" means, and I never have to explain it. It's simple: no sauces. And they have a button for it. Sad chain of events: - make my order at the menu. Realize I used the old term "Tillamook burger", apologized, and tried to correct. Made the order twice. "tillamook burger basket, dry, with a coke", then corrected "Sorry, I mean Northwest cheeseburger" and she jumped in, "I got it." And she read it back correctly. Then I added regular onion rings. All good so far. - Cash window: got a total, made my payment. Fine. - Waiting there, between windows, I think that the cash window didn't mention "dry", so I should confirm that. - Pickup window, she hands me drink, then two bags. I say "Nobody has echoed back that this is "dry", I just wanted to make sure it's dry." She says "What?" I say "Is this dry?" She nods and says "yes". I give her thumbs up and say "perfect, thank you!", and drive off. - Since I just got the direct confirmation, I head home. Get to my destination in about 15 minutes, and discover my food is wrong. - Drive back to Burgerville to correct the order. Go to the door with "ring the doorbell" note on it, since I'm not waiting for the drivethrough again. I ring the doorbell. There's someone else there waiting also, who says they've ringed the doorbell. - We've been waiting a while, with no sign of life, and I see the door is open, so I take my wrong order inside to get it corrected. Multiple people look at me kind of scared, and they tell me they're closed, and to leave. I explain how I got there, through the open front door, and they walk me outside. Acting really annoyed with me, and repeating how they are closed. - Girl asks what's wrong, I tell her what I ordered, and what I got. She seems frustrated, and goes inside. - A couple drivethrough cars go through, and she comes back out. Gives me bag. I open to check, and immediately see it's wrong. She sees I have a problem, but then takes order from someone else, then asks me what's wrong. I tell her there's no lettuce, tomatoes, or pickles on it, and give her my order again, repeating "dry", and she goes inside. I've now got two bags of food in the trash outside. - I don't know how long I was there after that, but I was talking with the other person waiting outside, who also rang the doorbell, about the experience, and told her that I don't know what their problem is, but if I see three cars pull out of the drivethrough while I'm waiting on my order from 40 minutes ago, I'm leaving. - I'm sitting on the pavement, in the Burgerville parking lot, eating my cold fries and cold onion rings, drinking my coke with melted ice, and I saw four cars pull out of the drivethrough, almost an hour now since I made my order, and that was it. I went and ate somewhere else. I have no idea if anyone ever came back with my food (correct or not). I want to think something positive, like the location is stressed, and can't get the employees it needs, so everyone is overworked, and overloaded. But I didn't get that message. I just got employees who seemed so annoyed with me that I would have been scared to eat what they finally gave me, so I felt I had to leave my paid meal and go elsewhere. Also wish I didn't have one more thing to pile on top, but the onion rings here were mush. I'd just had some at the Tanisbourne, Hillsboro, Oregon location two days ago, which were great. But at this location I got a bag of goo in one big lump. Everything all sort of mushed together, greasy, and burned to a pulp. :( And, trust me, this is no casual review. This place is a classic retro restaurant with vintage tables and chairs. They sell their special burger spread up front too. We opted for the bacon burger, fries and a strawberry shake which was delicious. It tastes super fresh and not greasy. They use real lettuce that is actually green. Not the iceburg kind with no nutritional value. My wife got a strawberry shortcake sundae-so good. The service was very fast and friendly. It's expensive but good for a fast food joint. First off, this is the only fast food restaurant where you can get a quality non-dairy milkshake... And it is AWESOME! But... The running of this location sucks. Everytime we come here, to their drive thru only business, we spend at least 30 minutes in line. There is nothing fast about this business. If you dare get in line after 9pm and you don't order by 9:30pm... They won't take your order, even at 9:31pm... Go ahead ask me how I know that. The dining room is closed, you can't walk in just to order, it's drive thru only... Unless you order for pickup via their app. When the app works, the whole process is great, but 4 out of 5 times you still have to go through the drive thru line, but now your stressed out after trying to get the app to work for the last 30 minutes. Lesson here, is get in the drive thru lane while using the app... Maybe you'll get lucky, but either way you'll get your shake in 30 minutes, unless you try to order at 9:31pm. Like I started this review with, the non-dairy bliss shakes are worth the suffering, but the experience could be SOOO much better. read more

road trips require a certain kind of fuel and i'm not talking about what you're using in your car's gas tank. sure, i can pack healthy snacks for the hours in the car as the landscape rushes by outside but when it comes to choosing an exit off the highway, pulling over and taking a break for food and drink, i can't do the quintessential fast food: i'm not going to be going through a mcdonald's drive thru or stopping at an applebee's but on this trip my friend and i stopped at burgerville and it was just the right amount of road trip quick but it a) tasted like something and b) had more character and nutrition than what other roadside options were. being a vegetarian meant i was limited to fish or the anasazi bean burger and when you're at burgerville, it seems like it's clear what one should order. so an anasazi bean burger and order of sweet potato fries later, i wasn't bloated by cheap, tasteless ingredients or feeling like i'd taken a bath in a vat of grease. the waitstaff were polite and funny on a thursday night. the restaurant dining area and bathroom were both clean and we left feeling like it had been a completely fine choice as we made our way along the i5 corridor south. i will keep burgerville in mind for shakes on the next drive. read more

With that said we are extremely disappointed in the quality and safety of food at this location. The food would have gotten 5 stars - if it were hot. But they left our food sitting under heat lamps for 7 minutes. 1 star lost there. The other star they lost was for not even bringing our food out when we placed the order for curbside pickup. 23 minutes after we ordered I knocked on the window to ask where the food was. They found it and brought it out and scolded me for not ringing the bell and saying we were there. This - despite the fact that we witnessed at least 9 other cars arrive and have their foos brought out - all without exiting their cars. In fact, twice we were brought someone else's order and corrected them. I can see being busy - but don't blame me for you leaving the my food to cool. And with such an obvious BS excuse (I'm sitting in their parking writing this - and have seen two more cars drive up and have their food come right out). my stop here was a disappointment, and below average from the time I opened the door. First, as I walk up to the counter, the young man working there, saw me turn around and went on to do something else. When I got there it was not filled to the top. If I'm going to order a six dollar or seven dollar shake I want it all. When I showed it to him, he acted as if he didn't know what I was talking about, and I was speaking in another language. I asked him if this was a 16 ounce cup? He said yes. I asked him if I had purchased a 16 ounce shake? He said yes. So I have a come up to him and I said then why isn't the cup full response backwards? We don't do that here . What do you mean you don't sell a 16 ounce shake and fill it up to 16 ounces? No we don't do that here. I handed it back a cup and I asked him to go fill it up. His response to me was aggressive and a little hostile. The lady that had initially walked right by me and ignored me when I came in mumbled something to him looked at me like I was the unpopular get in high school and snickered and smiled as you walk past me. I asked her what are you talking about and she just dumb it up and said what? So after this lovely exchange, I turned to Lee with my burger feeling underappreciated and underserved. We paid with a debit card and when we did so we were forced to give a tip, or not. We did not leave a tip, thankfully. The good was barely edible and the service was severely lacking. I used to live in the Portland-Vancouver area so Burgerville was a hot spot for me. I used to eat here a lot due to the quality of the food, how many locations there were and the fact that there was one so close to where I was working. What I love about burgerville is its uniqueness. I love how the burgers have their own flare. The sauces they offer are also really unique and I always get a bunch anytime im here. The previous reviewer asked for help from her fellow Yelpers in deciding if this is a Christian driven organization with like motives.. Her conflict comes from things like mission statements and so forth. To assist her resolution of moral quandry, I am posting Burgerville's sustainability statement from their web site. It says nothing about being Christian, wicken, LGT, political or what ever. None of the partners on their web site show any religious or poltical affiliation. Mission statements are standard quality management tools in modern business. Sounds pretty radical to the naive, perhaps. Not the least bit creepy. Burgerville just wants to provide good food (which they do), be good to their employees and neighbors (which they are) and support fellow small businesses( again; which they do). Me? I wish we had more Burgerville's everwhere including the previous reviewer's neighborhood. They are a responsible, good business. And most importantly - they make damn great fast food. I stopped by Burgerville after checking out YELP! Quite honestly, I don't know what the hype is all about. I was deliberating between a one and a two star rating of this place and decided to round DOWN my experience instead of rounding up and I will tell you why: I base my decision of giving a place one star based on whether or not I will be back. In this instance, unless someone else LITERALLY twisted my arm, I don't think I will be back, let alone be back on my own. Since I am not from around here, as always, I go to YELP! for recommendations. Since this place has a glowing review, I decided to try it. First impression, BUSY place. The jukebox in the dining area, as one YELPER mentioned, is a unique touch. I didn't know whether or not it worked though. I rarely eat burgers so I ordered their grilled chicken. For $5.39, I figured it is comparable in price to say a McD or a Burger King. I thought I'd order the combo and while I'm it, I tried their Rosemary Fries and their Garlic Aioli -- first time I've EVER had an Aioli of ANY kind, so sue me! :) I literally had a heart attack when the cashier told me that my order came to $10.47 -- Wait, WHAT? I beg your pardon? Ten effing dollars and forty seven effing cents????? Really??? THIRTY ONE CENTS more and my original grilled chicken sandwich's price would've been doubled. And for what? A drink and some specialized fries? When I looked at my receipt, my $5.39 sandwich was actually billed at $9.69 as a combo including $.30 extra for the rosemary fries and $.40 extra for the garlic aioli. WOW! I didn't want to make a scene and paid my bill albeit begrudgingly. About 10 minutes later -- and I thought this was FAST FOOD!! -- my order came. My grilled chicken was drier than the Mojave Desert. And yes, I miss my tomato on my chicken sandwich. I tried dipping it in the garlic aioli but the "garlic" overpowered the chicken's flavor -- better than dry grilled chicken though. When I tasted the Rosemary Fries -- WOW! the rosemary flavor was IIIIIIINTENSE!!! When I got up to get my drink, I keep looking at my drink and trying not to remember that if I would've just gone across the street, I would've gotten this drink for ONLY a buck! Overall, I think Burgeville is trying to be a Red Robin or some "upper scale" burger joint but, aside from the EXPENSIVE sandwiches (nay, sandwiches COMBO!), they ridiculously fall short. I believe that when you leave a restaurant, you should be one step closer to nirvana (ok maybe I'm exaggerating here) because you are FULL and, MORE IMPORTANTLY because you have eaten GREAT food. I've been a fan of Burgerville since I lived in Portland, Oregon. I used to live within walking distance of one in the Hawthorne district. Even though I moved away a long time ago, I still go to this location a few times a year. On my most recent visit, something changed a bit. It wasn't the customer service because that was fantastic! Everyone at the counter was helpful and the people bringing us our food were super nice. The space was clean, as usual and made for a great rest stop on our trip. The shakes didn't change because those were awesome, as usual! The chocolate cherry was crazy good - the cherry offered a nice contrast to the creamy chocolate flavor. I love their shakes! The walla walla onion rings were huge, crispy rings, of fried goodness that I chose to dip in ketchup and tartar sauce. I'll be paying for that day for awhile. Ah, yes, the burgers. Something has changed with the burgers. The patties seemed smaller, have less flavor, and the texture was not appealing. Don't get me wrong, it's still okay, just not what I've had in the past. For me, Burgerville holds a special place in my heart and I'll continue to go there and hope the burgers will taste better to me the next time around. read more

My husband grew up coming here and absolutely raves about the burgers and sweet potato fries. He says this place is the best. I asked him what he would give for a rating and he said 4 stars, because he wishes they had sweet potato fries all year round and because it's so dang expensive. We went and got 2 kids chicken tender meals, a grilled chicken burger (no fries or drink), and a deluxe burger with fries (no drink), it was $26. They do have a 10% military discount though, which is really great, but that's pretty expensive for fast food. I know you're paying for quality, but dang. Everything tastes like it is of really good quality, it's all very fresh tasting. The grilled chicken burger, to me, was on par with Chick-fil-A and that's the only other "fast food" we will eat, so that's saying something. Our kids loved the tenders and fries, especially the fries. My husband says the burgers are super juicy and the way they put the chopped onions on the same side as the mayo makes it like a new kind of sauce. The lettuce is dark green but still crispy. Also, the burgerville sauce is amazing - it's like a mixture of mayo, mustard, and dill relish. My husband says everything is amazing, the milkshakes, their food, all of it, so it's definitely worth a try, we recommend it! read more
