Bulgogi bowl lunch special with spicy salmon roll (partially eaten)
Madison F.

Okay. I really wanted to like this place. Really. The food looked good and the reviews are great but... i am disappointed. I ordered the lunch special with bulgogi and spicy salmon roll. (Forgive the messy picture I had already started eating). Firstly, no wasabi/soy sauce given with the roll. Okay. Kinda bummed because I don't have wasabi on hand but okay. Also said a salad was included on the menu but I didn't receive one. The roll is decent. I think the rice is flavored pretty well and the fish seems okay. Not the best, not the worst. The bulgogi is... Kinda tragic. It's too sweet and there is no sauce/onions/scallions/anything else to speak of. The flavor just really isn't very good. I still am going to give this place another chance because the burgers look very good and, as I said, I really want to like this place, but not a great first impression. :( Probably 2.5 stars for me but I rounded up. The bulgogi however...

Grab and go place, overall very decent, not gourmet, pretty quick service, the menu online isn't always the most accurate though. I'd still go back.

BTS bulgogi burger. Hands down one of the best burgers I have had. The potato bun, bulgogi sauce not too over seasoned, nice spice to the sandwich and can never go wrong with an egg on top. The kimchi fries, Walwick burger was also amazing. But already ctaving the BTS burger already. My shake shack replacement.

Great local spot! It's very tasty and flavorful. I've had their teriyaki salmon bowl as well and it was massive! Enough to split with someone. Can't wait to continue to order from here

Gross chicken quality in the teriyaki. Soggy fries with barely any bulgogi. This was truly disgusting

The place is now a burger and taco place. No sushi and just a walk up Mexican joint. Very disappointed in this place.

Great contactless delivery. Bulgogi bowls are almost a weekly indulgence for us. So good. You won't be disappointed.

Nasty customer service, nasty manager, hamburgers don't come with fries, and false menu advertisements. Will never come here again.

We asked for ranch, but what came out looked and tasted like a cheesy dip (as pictured- you can literally see chunks of cheese in it). We even compared it side by side with their Caesar dressing which was same texture, just a different color. Isn't ranch supposed to be creamy? The French dip sandwich was another letdown. The roast beef was super dry, barely any pink, and the au jus sauce looked like the last bit scraped from the bottom of the pot. Very light in color when it should be a rich dark brown. One look and I knew it wouldn't taste right. Then came the burger, which was so undercooked that the blood soaked through the bottom bun (as pictured). The waitress never even asked how we wanted it cooked. Overall, I'd come back here for a drink but I'd skip the food next time.

The bartenders and servers were super attentive and really on it. Great experience. We had the lemon pepper wings to start. Those were delicious! I got a special sort of cheesesteak on garlic bread. So good! Their fries are insanely good. They are the perfect fry. I was so sad I got a side salad. Haha. My husband got a burger that he enjoyed. We shared an insanely delicious and ridiculously large apple pie or cobbler something cheesecake. It was out of this world. Will def go here again!!

I didn't get to see or experience the ambiance inside but I'm sure it's nice - we were seated outside as eating was our priority! I ordered a matcha, and it tasted a little watered down, but still okay. The main courses made up for it. The steak was phenomenal and the sides had so much flavor that nothing felt like an afterthought. Our waitress also had a fun personality, which added to the experience. I'll definitely be back.

The food was fresh (how did they find a flawless avocado in the middle of winter???) and the flavors delicious. The service was outstanding -- weekend brunch was packed, and they put your name on a list in case you want to walk around town while you're waiting. Don't go too far, because somehow they're able to move the tables without making folks feel rushed. Each person we encountered -- the host, the folks at the counter, our server -- was nicer than the last. I got a bowl that had slightly cooked spinach, poached eggs, sweet potatoes and that GOHgeous avocado I mentioned above. One thing I really liked about this bowl is that it didn't have rice in it -- something that would've made it too overwhelming. This was the perfect combo and portion size. Someone else in our small group got the avocado toast (more avocado!!) and also said it was excellent. Definitely plan to return!

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ PHENOMENAL FOOD!!!!! ++++ Miso Marinated Salmon - Was absolutely delicious. Salmon was cooked perfectly, wasn't dry and still moist. The citrus scented wild rice was excellent too. ++++ Truffle Burger - Honestly, one of the BEST burgers I've had in a longggggg, longgggg time. Everything was perfect about it - the caramelized onions, gruyere on top, bacon, truffle aioli, and, of course, the burger itself. The patty was dripppping with juices with every single bite and cooked to medium excellence. Oh, and those truffle fries that came with it? To die for! Loved the thinness of them and there was PLENTY of it to go around. ++++ Kids Macaroni & Cheese with Fruit - Relatively simple, but the creamy kind of mac and cheese. Kids absolutely loved it. The fruits were just grapes and a few little slices of pineapple, which we would have liked a bit more of. ++++ Kids Cheeseburger and Fries - Burger was DEFINITELY, without a doubt cooked well-done. It was a bit on the tiny side, but we still split it between the kids. Once again, fries were fantastic and there was more than enough to share. ++++ Banana-Rama Smoothie - Strawberry, banana goodness. Could definitely tell this was not artificial from the "true" flavor of the smoothie. It wasn't super sweet. + Service was very good throughout the evening. ++++ Food came out shockingly fast and fresh. ++++ Our waiter was friendly, on point and came by to check on us a few times. + Plenty of space inside of the restaurant, including an outdoor-indoor tent that is heated. + Decor was modern and contemporary, very clean inside. + Ambiance for dinner was dark and intimate, which caught me off guard because I thought it would be more casual, but perfect for group gatherings still and casual dine-ins. + PLENTY of parking in the large lot in front and to the side of the restaurant, which is shared within a little strip mall. + They take reservations online. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Nada! MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada! RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Dined from 5:45 - 7:15 PM on a Friday and most of the evening crowd was older and there weren't many families with kids. There were maybe 2-3 families with kids, but they left by 6:15 PM. Most of the groups were groups of 4, seemingly catching up during a nice meal. CONCLUSION -------------------- = I was pleasantly surprised by the experience we had here. I figured this would be a super casual Friday after work/school dinner with the fam, but this turned out to be one of the best meals we've had in North Jersey in a while. Food, service and ambiance here was excellent. Wish they had .5 stars on Yelp because Saddle River Cafe is as close to perfection as it can get at 4.5 stars!

Finally! A place in my own town that I can rate 5 stars…read more Cooper's is a small pub located in Pearl River. There's street parking around the neighborhood that becomes free after 6. I suggest you head towards the houses, away from town, if you can't find a spot. I've been anxious to try this place as the pictures look solid enough and reviewers thus far seem content. My wife and I entered with plans to have beer and apps. We ended up getting Guinness, onion rings, fried calamari and the Cooper's Burger. You can't beat a 22oz Guinness for $8. The prices on their website also match what you'll see inside. Lately I find so many restaurants are charging more than they advertise online. Service was great, friendly and very attentive. I was also surprised to see how well they clean tables between customers. Spray, wipe table, wipe lamp, shakers, etc. It's totally clean for the next customer. There are only 8 or so tables in here, plus bar seating. We enjoyed some comfy seats at a high top table for two. The onion rings were great - crisp and battered nicely so they hold together. While almost a little overcooked, they were still good and better than I had at the last high end steakhouse I went to. The fried calamari was fairly priced and a good portion. It had a light crispness, though bigger pieces would've been nicer. They were mostly small, but certainly a lot of it. The accompanying marinara was good and plentiful. We got the Cooper's Burger cooked medium and it came out medium. It's a simple burger that comes with lettuce and tomato. Some red onion wouldn't been nice. They charge extra for all sorts of stuff you can get on top - fried mushrooms, fried onions, eggs, etc. It also comes with fries, which were good. Overall, it was a nice cozy time. Several middle aged couples ate here that night and a couple small groups. No loud bar crowds as they're all on central avenue. In fact, I was surprised how nice the acoustics were inside. You can hear people at your table no problem, can hear the music inside at the right level and don't hear a lot of background chatter or noise. I'd most certainly return if in the mood for pub food. And ... No credit card fee!
