However the slices of salmon sashimi were thinner than what I've had elsewhere. The spicy salmon was the absolute worst I've ever tasted. It had the taste of mayo with the consistency of melted movie theater nacho cheese sauce. We poked around and could not find much meat. I honestly thought they might have just put spicy mayo in the roll and forgot to add the spicy salmon. I will never return, the spicy salmon here made me lose all faith. We enjoyed our dinner at Moshi Moshi. The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered miso soups to start. I loved that they have lots of options for the miso soup. I got the miso soup with shumai. We also ordered the tempura vegetables, which were delicious. For rolls, we had a variety of classic and specialty rolls. Some of the specialty rolls had way too much crunchy stuff on top, and the rolls looked like a whole pile of sushi vs an actual roll. The specialty rolls were too much fluff and just not so good. The standard sushi rolls were fine and decent. It was all yummy but not the best sushi we have had. They gave us salmon skin rolls on the house, which was a nice surprise! Delish! Recently discovered this sushi spot as it is extremely close to my work. They have fantastic lunch specials during the work week that you cannot them down. Today I ordered the lunch 3 roll special for $12.45 with a miso soup also. That pricing is fantastic. Not only is it close and cheap. The food is delicious. Service during lunch was extremely quick as we ordered ahead. Will definitely be a repeat lunch customer. The quality of the fish was great. This is one of my favorite sushi spots in my delivery area. The rolls are creative and are loaded with flavor. The spicy mayo is actually spicy. They give you free hand rolls if you dine in or pick up. Some of my favorites include the moshi moshi, lobster salad, Fuji, karai sakana, saddle river rolls, regular spicy tuna as well as the sashimi salad bowl. Moshi moshi has spicy tuna/avo inside, seaweed salad on top. Lobster salad is shrimp tempura inside with seared lobster salad on top (they shape the roll sort of like a lobster tail with the shrimp tails sticking out). Saddle river is shrimp tempura with avocado on top. Fuji is shrimp tempura and avocado inside with a wonderful pile of chopped tuna, salmon and other goodies with lots of panko crunch. Karai sakana is a delicious combo of spicy tuna/salmon with shrimp, cucumber and avocado. I tried the coconut shrimp roll once and they went overboard on the shredded coconut. The sashimi salad bowl is larger than I was expecting for $17. The bottom has sushi rice and greens which is topped with a variety of chopped raw fish, avocado, seaweed salad, radish and other toppings with a sesame dressing. Add some spicy mayo to really put it over the top! Delivery is always faster than they tell you on the phone. Service when dining in is always very good. read more

This place has been slipping for some time. This review is a combination of the last 2 trips. It began with the smaller portions which have gotten even skimpier. Sushi rolls falling apart, bones in the sushi salmon. Take out containers of soy sauce practically empty! And not enough for even 2 pieces let alone 5 rolls I purchased. When I have to use my own soy sauce and wasabi for rolls I paid for, something is wrong. New ownership/management? I mean they are literally serving rotten vegetables now so I guess smaller portions isn't such a bad thing. But I wonder what else they are serving that is old and rotten and covering it up. The broccoli that comes with the teriyaki box was rotted and had black spots all over it. After seeing this I checked the vegetables of the vegetable tempura, guess what? Rotted broccoli was used for that too. Who knows what they are using in their rolls. Been coming here for many years but this is the last time. My kani salad I requested to have spicy mayo added to it and boy was it nice and spicy. I wish it had tempura crunch on it like all the other times I've had it elsewhere. We ordered edamame and they were perfectly salted. My sushi was fresh and every good, I only wish the shrimp tempura was a little bit bigger.
