I was excited to try Burger Nerds based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfying. The place is located inside of a funky cool brewery but the burger I ordered single Queso that took 20min was over cooked and lukewarm, The best thing was the bun and queso. It simply didn't justify the price tag of $12. While the brewery's atmosphere and service were pleasant, the quality of the food at nerds left a lot to be desired. I would hesitate to recommend Burger Nerds to others based on my disappointing burger I can sum up in 1 word as Trash!

I love me a burger and this was the best burger I've had. The set up was so cool and laid back kids friendly and also pet friendly. Service was so amazing.. If you haven't been what you waiting for!!! Head on over!!!

This is my second Burger Nerds experience, and it just gets better every time. I'm so glad they popped up at Courtyard Brew today. It was just what we needed. We had the El Jefe, the Samarii, and the Queso burger, and all 3 had us eating in silence. Seasoned to perfection with the hot fries and ketchup on the side. I can only take my husband's word on how good the Jefe was because he inhaled the burger before I could even ask for a bite. This place is hands down one of the best burgers in the city. Catch them if you can, definitely worth the chase

I've had these burgers before and they are so good! I was actually in the city a few weeks ago and was so happy that I could order online to pick up. Such an easy process. I was able to get the queso burger, the gumbo and the Brussel sprouts. OH MY! The flavors were just delicious. The best part is that all of my food stayed hot until I got home. Next time I will def have to eat my food at courtyard to enjoy the whole experience but if you're wondering if you should check burger nerds out this is your sign! You won't be sorry!

By far my favorite burger I've had in New Orleans. I was a little skeptical about having queso on my burger but I tried it anyways and loved it. Perfectly seasoned smash burger. If you haven't tried it you should.

Been here 4 straight times and they have been closed when they were supposed to be open. The burgers are good but the reliability is terrible. It's really just a pop-up and not a restaurant. I've relied on this place for my dinner too many times to be denied. Never going back. Now I'm stuck eating McDonalds.

Single patty that's hard to tell from the picture but it was paper thin. I laughed out loud when I saw it.

After seeing an Instagram review of the 10 best burger joints in New Orleans I was excited to see one I haven't heard of listed as number one: Berger Nerds. So within days I went to the one on Camp Street and was dramatically disappointed. For $11 I got a burger that was paper thin with many holes in it; it's like someone took a palm full of ground meat and smashed it as thin as they possibly could. The double burger was the size of a normal hamburger. Maybe the queso burger was more tasty, but I like to judge a burger based on the most simple one, and this one was nothing special.

Now that's a tasty burger. The impossible burger is about as good as your going to get without killing a cow.

I never had such a mouthwatering burger in my life!…read more This 24-hour diner is the perfect spot to get a quick meal at low prices. Between my partner and I, we didn't spend more than $30 in this place. This place is super low-key; no expectations of dressing fancy one bit. It's the kind of spot that you'd go into after a long night of partying, ready to end the night with a juicy burger with crispy fries, topped with ice cold beverages. If you can squeeze in a moment to order from their grill, I promise you won't be disappointed!

This past week we visited and we could both tell right away things were different. The inside of the restaurant was filthy and I mean filthy. You could see the floor under the bar and in the kitchen hadn't been cleaned in months. The fryers hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Everything just looked dirty and like no effort is put into cleaning and maintenance. We decided to eat anyway which was a mistake. We love their burgers that are cooked and steamed old school. We both ordered one. My wife ordered hers with bacon, which they charge over 3 bucks for. We both ordered our burger dressed with all the fixings. When my wife's burger came out it had no bacon and no fixings. I told the waiter and he said he would handled it. He never did as he started doing other orders. My burger had no flavor and it looked like the person that made it didn't care , which goes along with the restaurant cleanness. One thing that really turned us off was the was other guest were treated by staff. The "cook" was completely pissed off and had a horrible attitude. A group came in looking for a table and there wasn't room. He yelled at them that there wasn't room. They stood in the entrance area for a few moments and then he yelled at them that they needed to get out of the restaurant and wait outside. He told them this isn't a restroom so don't wait in line. The attitude and distain in his voice was overwhelming. A few minutes later a couple came in and found 2 seats at the bar. They decided to order food to go and was talking to the waiter. One of the 2 people ordering was standing behind the empty bar seat while they ordered. The cook yelled at this person that they needed to sit down. Both customers were stunned. The waiter told the cook they were making an order to go and the cook could be heard muttering under his breath. This little guy was nothing but attitude and seemed extremely pissed off the there. Maybe instead of being the restaurant traffic cop and total smart ass he should concentrate on getting orders straight since ours was screwed up and never fixed. Whatever charm this place had is gone along with the any effort to keep it up to clean standards.

The 8oz filet mignon steak special is, dollar for dollar, the best steak I have ever had in a restaurant. Turtle Bay -- 4…read more Listen... this is MY spot. One of my favorite places and honestly one of the only places I'll sit down and eat in the French Quarter. I've been coming here for about 6 or 7 years now, and they are easily in my top three. The vibe? Dive bar, laid back, no fuss... but the FOOD? Don't sleep on it. Their menu is solid and I still haven't made it through everything yet. I've had the wings, which we actually got this visit but ate them so fast we didn't even get a picture. That should tell you enough right there. I've had the pizza, and my husband usually goes for a burger. Never any complaints. They've got plenty on tap and the drinks hit too. I love a good Electric Lemonade, but this time I kept it simple with an Angry Orchard. Now let's talk about what keeps me coming back... The steak. We got our old faithful, one of their signature steaks, the 10oz petite ribeye. This is exactly what made me fall in love with Turtle Bay in the first place. Normally it's around $13.95, comes with a twice stuffed potato and a slice of garlic bread. A DEAL. This time it was a little higher, but still under $15, which honestly is still more than fair with how prices are these days. And when I say it be hitting... it be hitting. Only reason this visit didn't get a full 5 stars? My steak was cooked a little over my liking. I usually go for medium, and this one leaned more done than I prefer. Not horrible, just not my usual perfection. But everything else? Still solid. The staff is always nice, always welcoming. I've never had a bad experience with them, and that matters. And I already know I'm coming back because I keep hearing the crawfish is FIRE. Yeah... I need to see that for myself. This is my happy place. Open 24/7, consistent, affordable, and just a real gem in the French Quarter. The Bay is Babe. Period.

My food was hot n ready within 10 minutes. What I got: crawfish pie (10/5) -- $2.99 for this masterpiece. it is basically crawfish etouffee mixed with some rice stuffed into pie dough. savory, got a nice kick of heat, and love how pronounced the bell pepper flavor is shrimp po boy (10/5) -- everything is just so balanced and went down like nothing because it is so effortlessly addictive. Shrimp are seasoned and fried perfectly. came out to ~$10 and the 6" is HUGE, also easily customizable chicken sausage gumbo (5/5) -- literally feels/tastes like it is made with love. perfectly seasoned, hearty, savory, nice chunks of smoked sausage, good portion of rice It will be on my list to return to whenever I come to New Orleans.

Hidden gem ALERT!!!!!…read more I explored the French Quarter for more authentic eats, and escaped Burbon St...mission complete. New Orleans version of a NY bodega is where I found one of the best and most adorable shrimp po'boys. You'll have to put these directions into your phone, because the location is in the depths of the neighborhood district. It's walkable to and from the popular Canal Street, just much quieter and secluded. You won't be able to park on this particular street, but near by areas would allow for street parking. This is in fact a grocery store with a hot food market setup in the back. I was pleasantly greeted immediately as I entered by a gentleman stocking, and a nice lady behind the register. I immediately darted to the back of the store and saw the setup, simple with a bit of updated technology. You can order and pay at a tablet style screen, and wait for the magic to be made on the other side. It took about 5 minutes and I got a text my order was ready, the same gentleman who was stocking called out my name from the back and handed me a 12 inch shrimp po'boy for 12.00. This sandwich was incredible, loaded with crispy fried shrimp and fresh lettuce. The bun was soft and very fresh, I added extra pickles for an acidic flavor breakup to the fried fish and dough. The flavors were on point, very seasoned and perfectly cooked shrimp. I was very impressed by the price and quality....not to mention customer service. Pro Tip: My van driver mentioned to me before dropping me off at the hotel, a lot of people walk Burbon Street and turn around when it becomes residential. But there is actually a ton of life and experiences to be had off the beaten path, both local and authentic.
