Out of most drinks including canned, even the lemonade was water
Amy F.

Service: offhand but friendly. Ambience: sticky menus, greasy floors. Food: overcooked and soggy burgers, almost all drinks out and brussels sprouts (one of the two sides available) not available. $60 for 3 burgers, 3 fries, 3 drinks.

The food itself was good. I had a smash burger that tasted like a classic, old-fashioned burger with a well-done smash patty, though it could have used a bit more sauce. The fries were good as well, just on the thinner side. Service was great and I had no issues there. However, cleanliness is where this place loses stars. The food trays were stored outside in a crate next to the trash can, which was concerning. The outside tables were a bit dirty, and the inside was uncomfortably hot to eat in. Overall, my main concern was food sanitation more than anything else. Because of that, I'd have to think about returning and would possibly consider trying a different location that may be cleaner.

Came here to eat with some friends and we ended up eating both inside and outside because it's so cute both areas! The food was delicious Burgers and chicken cooked to perfection. Of course there was a bit of wait because there was so many of us but besides that we talked to the workers as we waited and had a great time as they were very friendly and personable. We're definitely coming back here and making it a hangout spot

What an amazing experience. The double queso burger was to die for. Be prepared to use a lot of napkins it was that juicy and so delicious. This is my new favorite burger joint in the NOLA / Metry area. The loaded fries were amazing.

the bun does not hold well to this burger.

I am nit a you must have a port o call or swamp room burger person The location must be new. So I will go back. Working in a kitchen that sells a $26 burger( with fries) this is not a post about the price but yet the quality. the sear on the burger was magnificent. the bun is the average potato bun. the fries were bought from restaurant depot. this makes me wonder if the meat is also from the depot. the patty was aggressively seasoned. the cheese options are non existent. i had one slice of tomato and three slices of pickles. i try to dress my burger where every bite consists of all flavors. also i paid for bacon thinking that it would enhance the burger. It did not. one broken piece that was nicely cooked. they ran out of Brussels and ketchup to go. the napkins were c-folds just placed on a table. Atomic burger, Backyard nola, Shake Shack, Company etc are much better at the moment. I would go back to try again.

Burger Nerds makes an extremely crisp and crunchy smashburger style here. I'm not a big fan of these smash style burgers that are crunchy and crisp but many people seem to love them. They have opened in Metairie now in the old Poboy King spot. It is an alright burger but just not the style I prefer. I like a big 1/2 pound patty that is cooked medium and full of juice and great beef flavors. I liked their location at Courtyard Brewery better and I miss Poboy King. This new location seems very popular. Hey Yelp moderators stop deleting my reviews over ridiculous accusations that I posted the same experience to multiple reviews. I very clearly have pictures for very different locations proving I was at different locations. The food is the same at the locations and my review of the food is the same for those locations (even though I hoped for improvement). If I'm magically posting a duplicate review then delete my pictures as well that are totally different for each location. Yelp has deleted so many of my reviews for NO valid reason over and over and over and over.... Seems to mainly be when I give a less than good review of places that advertise with Yelp... Maybe if Yelp gave a way to actually respond to the emails about removing my content I wouldn't have to post it in the actual reviews over and over and over....

There is a cute little area outside. The staff was less than courteous. The burgers were dry and overcooked. The need sauce and queso helped some but I won't be going back.

Brussel sprouts

At Burger Nerds the Queso Burger isn't here to play nice--it's a full-on flavor uprising. This bad boy smashes juicy patties with a generous helping of melty, defiant queso that gives bland burgers the middle finger. It's the kind of burger that makes you question all your life choices about low-carb diets. And then there are the Brussel sprouts. Yes, you heard that right! Crunchy little anarchists that crash the party with a tangy kick, flipping off your taste buds with every bite. (Side note: I hate brussel sprouts in general and I was converted after eating them)

Wanted to try a different burger spot than my usual haunts. Went to the metairie location. It's pretty small and there's very limited street parking. Was able to snag a table inside. I guess I thought the name Burger Nerds would come with a variety of burgers. There were only 2 burger options. Got the regular smash burger and fries. It was fine, but I don't think I would drive out of my way again to have one. Lots of competition out there. Service was good and efficient though.

Hello to the burger of my dreams... I barely took pictures because when the food got to my face it was the first time I thought "phone eats second" . The meat itself was smashed to perfection with caramelized onions and the perfect sauce. The buns were buttered deliciously and were the perfect parting. The space is small on the inside but there was outdoor seating. It is def a place that is mainly togo. Service was quick and food was fresh! I would say that this place is a bit of a splurge but worth every penny

Loaded fries that were supposed to have bacon but they didn't have bacon and they didn't tell us

The cashier on 5/3 at 4:28 greeted us immediately. We were pleasantly surprised it wasn't crazy busy. It's our 3/4 time trying to come. We all got burgers and fries. We waited almond enjoyed the yummy smell. The service team were in sync. He cleaned the grill between rushes. I'm impressed and we have not eaten yet. Easy lil burger joint. Not fancy but efficient. Loaded fries that were supposed to have bacon but they didn't have bacon and they didn't tell us and we got two orders and that cost$6 extra. But they rectified it without a prob but only after we asked.

Very kind service. Promising name. Good buns, ok patties, interesting chopped ice burg. The queso is as most liquid quesos does... pickles on the bottom shows wisdom. Sysco truck pulling in as we finished the meal disappointed. Parking was interesting. As Peace out.

Guys, it was THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I'D EVER HAD. It was lava hot, juicy, and greasy. It was also absolutely delicious. I was concerned that the thigh meat was going to taste different. But I could not tell. The fries were crinkle cut, but were seasoned well. Didn't even need ketchup for them. The place is very clean and they had 80s music playing in the background, my favorite decade of music. Not surprising, being an 80s kid. The damage all told, including a tip, was $25. Is it expensive? Yes. Is the quality and quantity of the food commensurate to the price? Also yes. Is it worth the hype? ABSOLUTELY YES. I was also informed there's a Hammond location. I will definitely bring my family there, as it's closer, to try them out as well.

Do not hold me to that. Worst case, you can always get your order to go. It was our first time. We were curious about and not many restaurants offer fresh made pork cracklings. Usually you have to buy it at a local market or know someone. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They briefly went over a few recommendations. Boneless chicken thigh, Yuzu aioli, slaw, housemade pickle. (Mild) I was curious about the Phuket Sauce. So I got an order too. This tastes great! Not spicy at all. Do not let the pepper fool you. It has a little kick but not spicy at all. All are well seasoned. Few of them you can choose your spice level. We all washed down with fountain drinks. They do offer catering services and possibly call ahead ordering. Please reach out to them for options. If you are in the mood for something different but great food. Give them a try if in the area.

It didn't even phase this person. She acted like it was a RIGHT of PASSAGE. I left her a substandard TIP due to my dissatisfaction. Put a TIP JAR at the counter but NEVER ASK for someone's change. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The wedge salad was nicely presented and tasted twice as good. It's actually half a head of iceberg, which is usually not what I'm used to when I order this kind of salad to go--the boxes usually aren't large enough! Very nice surprise. Generous amount of toppings as well as you can see in the photo. The pizza was also very good: crunchy crust, generous amount of toppings, and perfect temperature. It's probably the best cauliflower crust I've ever had. I was tempted to order something sweet, but I decided to behave myself. There's blueberry cheesecake Maybe next time! I will be back!! The place is cute and cozy, and our waiter was top notch. We were in a bit of a time crunch, and he totally had our back. The food was out so fast.
