BEST BURGERS EVER!!!! The hamburgers are seasoned well and are juicy. They offer a plethora of toppings and condiments. There is beer on tap available which is awesome. The menu is al-la carte. So don't take you don't get fries with your burger unless ha ask for them. But the burgers are so big and delicious you almost don't need the fries. They have several sizes of burgers ranging from 4 oz to a pound of burger . I got the double monger and it was just delicisous. It's hard to find a place that melts cheese on a burger well and this palace does it. I would defiantly recommend this place. read more

If you weren't already aware, they use some sort of Japanese "healthy" beef which probably doesn't really matter, but it does make you feel a LITTLE less guilty. BLUF: Go for the homemade chips, double check your order. Ok, upgrade the meat, it's worth it. I ordered 1 patty of the regular and one upgraded and split my burger open face to taste test the difference. It's absolutely worth the $ for the fancy akaushi beef (wagyu). The shake was probably decent but they gave me the wrong one. Eh...it's super sweet. Nothing wrong with it, but there are lots of good milkshakes out there. Gluten free bun was decent. For those who regularly order GF, it's the bun a lot of nicer burger places use that is sort of spongey. It didn't hold up on the bottom at all and I had to use a fork and knife. They do grill or toast it though and that rendered the top bun nicer than typical GF. But the real deal is the homemade chips. The regular portion is generous. I ordered extra crispy, extra salt, and that is exactly what I got. How do they make them extra crispy but not harder than they should be? How will I live without these chips from here forward? No other chips will ever be able to quell my craving. I am here on work travel. I swore the only things I loved about FL are orange juice and Tom Petty. But then I had these chips. They beat orange juice (sorry Burger Monger, nothing beats Tom Petty). I'd bet their fries are decent, too...the guy in front of me was pretty passionate in his ordering fries and he was clearly a regular. If I am ever in the greater Tampa area again, I am eating nothing but these homemade chips for my whole visit. If you're coming to this Clearwater location, be prepared to compete for parking. The strip mall is about 6 or 10 restaurants, so after work dinner and drinks meant full parking. Would be great if they added an option to request cutlery and napkins. We enjoyed relaxing here, in their comfy dining room filled with HDTV's, while chowing down on customized burgers and milkshakes. I appreciated I could add brie and a runny fried egg to ensure the meal was well beyond traditional burger fare. It was certainly a cut above the multiple guys place and light years beyond any massive fast food burger chain you might name. I was pleasantly surprised that a burger joint could have a decent salad! It was better than decent, it was fresh and yummy! I did not get to try the fries, but they looked and smelled awesome! I was hungry and I have been there before. I was less impressed that the hamburger was indeed the stated weight, so I ordered the double. It was filling, but I could eat it. One thing is consistent, it is way to greasy. The plate, the bun, a mess. You have to grab extra napkins as a necessity. Not my idea of a pleasurable hamburger. This seems to be unnecessarily so. Not as good as it used to be. I've been going to Burger Monger for three years. It's always been worth it for the money to me. However, I've noticed that in the last few times I've gone, the quality has decreased. The lettuce used to be of better quality (dark leaves) but it is now shredded iceberg lettuce. The french fries aren't as good; they seem to be soggy and not "cooked" enough. There is more pink in the burgers than usual (for medium well). ******* I am also disappointed that the washable cutlery, cups, and plates were replaced with single-use plastic items. I noticed a sign near the fountain drinks that explains how "sippable" cup lids have been implemented in lieu of plastic straws. I appreciate the effort here to reduce plastic straws, but the company is ultimately taking a few steps back by introducing the aforementioned single-use plastics! First Time. I must say their burgers here are decent. I like how you can make your own and BurgerMonger has a nice selection of toppings to choose from to create your own burger. Their shakes and malts are awesome. French fries were decent. As far as your dining area and venue; it's a very nice place to hangout and catch sports games on the TV's. After reading a few reviews before making my own I would agree with a few people on yelp that as far as taste and quality Five Guys burger is the better choice. Very good burger place. I'm normally a 5 guys burger girl but this one does have a better/much larger selection of toppings and sauces. It's actually fun to pick each element of your custom creation. Hubbie had a burger with cherrywood smoked bacon fried egg and cheddar cheese. Very good! I had my burger with chipotle ketchup, sautéed onions & mushrooms, provolone. Well I have been a loyal Monger since they opened this location. Loved it in the beginning and for a couple of years BUT I have now had 2 bad experiences in a row. Under cooked burgers. Tonight is the first time I've ever dropped down stars in a review. We've been coming since it opened and tonight was a less than stellar experience. While we love the beef burgers that Burgermonger serves, my husband and I were both thrilled to see that Impossible Burgers were on the menu - at a premium ($9.99). We both ordered them - and when our orders arrived, they were not Impossible Burgers. Not only were they not what we ordered, but it was only when we questioned the server were we told that... well, they were actually Beyond Meat burgers. The staff - or at the very least, the manager, knew they were not serving what we ordered- yet attempted to pass it off and not inform us. At a premium cost. It's disappointing to know that a restaurant we used to love has chosen this path - fraud, plain and simple. Yes, we asked for a refund. Yes, we received a refund. (Not a full refund; just the cost of the burgers.) But your manager on duty broke our trust. I asked the manager to place a sign notifying other customers that there were currently out of the item. (But as the location has a computerized menu, it would be just as easy to remove it as to put it on in the first place.) Jake, not sure what has happened, but we are reluctant to come back after an experience like this along with what we have seen as declining service and disaffected staff at this location. I'm disappointed to write this as we've been frequenting this place for the year that we've lived here. My husband fell in love with the Skirted Cheeseburger and he's gotten it every time we've gone, including lunch yesterday when we encountered a new and argumentative manager. First, the burger arrived with nothing on it besides cheese despite having all the standard burger dressings (lettuce, tomato, onion) on the side in all previous visits. When my husband politely asked a question about this, the manager told him "it doesn't come that way, you have to ask for it when you order." Ok, fine - maybe things changed in the last month or two. When our 4 year olds kids burger arrived, it was severely undercooked - mushy dark pink to red in the middle, very evidently medium to medium rare in some places. My husband took it to the counter and again super politely (that's his nature) asked for it to be cooked more because we didn't feel comfortable with our 4 year old eating it. Again, clearly irritated, she told him the burgers are cooked to Medium Well unless we specify otherwise when we order. He told her he understood that but this particular burger was Medium at best and more like medium rare in the middle at which point she took the burger from him, asked if he wanted them to remake it (yes, please), turned to the kitchen to give the order to do so and never once apologized, just walked away irritated. It wasn't just us - we witnessed her being very curt to other guests yesterday and on our prior visit a month or so ago, we witnessed an argument between staff and a customer that ended in screaming profanities. Met a buddy for lunch. I may have seen twenty (20) customers order over a forty-five minute prime lunch period. That makes me anxious. We both had Monger burgers loaded with our customary toppings, i.e. lettuce tomato, onion, & their specialty sauce. The one-third pound patties were cooked to order (medium & medium well), had nice chars, were juicy, & flavorful. Our side order of onion rings were breaded with (coarse) bread crumbs. There were only six rings to our order, for $2.49 (?). All together our total bill came to a little over $21, for two diners. The place is clean, spacious, & well staffed. Our ordertaker, Kyle, was very patient (first time patrons), engaging, & competent. Over all decent fast casual burger spot. Fries are great. They serve thin flat top burgers. They used to be better but they added a new type of beef to the menu called butcher blend, which is not near as good as their other signature beef. The two types of beef to choose from is a little off putting. The service at this location is top notch. The three stars had to do with the butcher blend beef. At a fast casual restaurant people want quality for a fair price and to raise the price of the good beef and provide a low quality beef for the price of the old burgers was not a move that made me happy as a customer. Took my parents here for dinner who are visiting from out of state. They really enjoyed their meals. I have a sensitivity to gluten and informed the young lady taking the order. Tried to verify that the fries were truly gluten free and fried separate from other items considering there was a sign above the fryer that read "gluten free" and she was clueless. She asked an older woman than her if the fries were safe and she looked puzzled and suggested I try the Mac n cheese. I passed on the sides. When I say small, the cup they came in was about 1/2 shake and filled the rest of the way with whip cream. I'm no expert, but I'd bet real money the whip cream was just Kool whip. Well, we hadn't been to Burger Monger in quite awhile and won't be back ever. I had been looking forward to the tasty burger of a few years ago but this is what we got. The "chef" assembled the burger and thought it would be fun to put a river of ketchup and mustard on the sandwich and watch it all slither off onto the paper set it in. I don't know if some of the other reviewers caught this place on a bad day, but we really liked the service and the food! We ordered our two burgers with all the goodies we liked from the long list of offerings, an order of fries and two fountain drinks. Okay, I'll admit, it was a bit on the costly side, but the food was clearly on a much higher level than so many similar competitors. The fries were excellently done--crispy on the outside and just right on the inside. And there were plenty on the plate. Our burgers were excellent for the type of restaurant. The meat definitely has a much better taste than most, and the condiments and bun were right on target. This is not McDonald's and it's not Bern's Steak House. If you'd like a change of pace every so often, give it a try and enjoy. By the way, the Manager, David, stopped at our table, was genuinely interested in our comments and was very personable. I've been a huge Burger Monger fan since opening. Told neighbors and friends to try it. I would have said 5 stars. However, the last several visits in 2018 have been very disappointing. It feels like management and service standards have changed and quality. It used to be friendly, quick service. Now it takes forever and the food still comes out in phases (can't you bring it together?) and cold. I took my daughter today for a milkshake and burger for lunch. We were the only ones in line. It took 20+ minutes and when I got home, the burger was cold and had the wrong condiments even though the receipt clearly stated mayo and ketchup only. There was so much mustard it was dripping out of the sides. My daughter's milkshake was way too chocolately (yes, there is such a thing) that she refused to drink it and said it was yucky. I poured it down the sink. So $16 later I feel disappointed and ripped off. Not sure we will be back any time soon. read more

The burger arrived after a few minutes and looked good. The patty had the home made irregular shape and veggies were fresh. The cheese was well melted and the bun was fresh. The first bite revealed the truth, burger was overcooked I ordered medium and it was over-well. Overcooking greatly took away the flavor of the beef. The mushrooms were cold, not in the slightest bit warm. I found myself wishing for some condiments to give it some flavor, but didn't want to send it back.
