This restaurant should be a model for all others. A+ customer service with management that cares. DELICIOUS FOOD. I'm blown away and have an official favorite burger place. We ordered through GrubHub and were delivered the wrong food. (The driver grabbed the wrong bag.) I called restaurant, and the manager himself brought us our correct order. I tell you, I have never felt so valued by a restaurant, EVER. They went out of the way to correct a mistake that wasn't even their fault. If the stellar customer service wasn't enough, they also have fantastic food. The burgers are cooked to order, and actually cooked properly. The sweet potato fries are just right- the right amount of sweet, the right amount of crispy. The regular fries are perfectly rigid and fluffy in the middle. We ordered two different burgers and two different fries, and everything is positively to die for. Rarely does a restaurant get it right on all levels, especially during our crazy COVID-19 restrictions. You won't regret ordering from here, because it's run by the right people, doing the right things. Thank you Burger Monger for satisfying my stomach and restoring my faith in humanity! read more

I've never had a problem with any of my orders or my burgers at this location. Medium rare every time. The fries are second to none. And don't EVEN get me started on the hand scooped shakes....omg. So much good. This is an especially good alternative when I'm staying strictly keto or paleo. read more

I guess I didn't delete the first review but here's another- we went again and it was just as amazing! Wish it was closer to my house because we would go all the time! read more

Burger Monger - Burgers Near Me - Clearwater, Florida

Haidet Burger Monger is the Fourth of July 2022 in Saint Pete worst burger I ever had the meet was wrong it was called they didn't put the cheese on it I didn't put the tomatoes on it and the bun Wes crunchy like potato chips were dark brown over cooked Used to eat at the one in South Tampa very good food this was terrible worse I've ever had read more

We enjoyed relaxing here, in their comfy dining room filled with HDTV's, while chowing down on customized burgers and milkshakes. I appreciated I could add brie and a runny fried egg to ensure the meal was well beyond traditional burger fare. It was certainly a cut above the multiple guys place and light years beyond any massive fast food burger chain you might name. It's not the kind of thing we need to do every week or even every month but we did enjoy the service and the meal. read more

I was pleasantly surprised that a burger joint could have a decent salad! It was better than decent, it was fresh and yummy! I did not get to try the fries, but they looked and smelled awesome! My burger was good. It was clear it was made from premium beef. I also liked the idea of build your own burger (I'm a very picky water). My real draw to this place is the friendly staff. The manager, in particular, is friendly, helpful, an remembers his patrons. read more

BLUF: Go for the homemade chips, double check your order. Ok, upgrade the meat, it's worth it. I ordered 1 patty of the regular and one upgraded and split my burger open face to taste test the difference. It's absolutely worth the $ for the fancy akaushi beef (wagyu). The shake was probably decent but they gave me the wrong one. Eh...it's super sweet. Nothing wrong with it, but there are lots of good milkshakes out there. Gluten free bun was decent. For those who regularly order GF, it's the bun a lot of nicer burger places use that is sort of spongey. It didn't hold up on the bottom at all and I had to use a fork and knife. They do grill or toast it though and that rendered the top bun nicer than typical GF. But the real deal is the homemade chips. The regular portion is generous. I ordered extra crispy, extra salt, and that is exactly what I got. How do they make them extra crispy but not harder than they should be? How will I live without these chips from here forward? No other chips will ever be able to quell my craving. I am here on work travel. I swore the only things I loved about FL are orange juice and Tom Petty. But then I had these chips. They beat orange juice (sorry Burger Monger, nothing beats Tom Petty). I'd bet their fries are decent, too...the guy in front of me was pretty passionate in his ordering fries and he was clearly a regular. If I am ever in the greater Tampa area again, I am eating nothing but these homemade chips for my whole visit. If you're coming to this Clearwater location, be prepared to compete for parking. The strip mall is about 6 or 10 restaurants, so after work dinner and drinks meant full parking. Would be great if they added an option to request cutlery and napkins. I had to ask and then ask again when the employee first said yes, it was in there, and then thought better of it. I am glad she didn't leave me without. And, one last time...order the chips. read more

Main reason for the 4 stars is that the owner cares. Good burgers but stay away from the hot dog. The meat it self was the issue.

2021 update- still amazing! I love their dogs. They are just as good now as they were 7 years ago.

First Time. I must say their burgers here are decent. I like how you can make your own and BurgerMonger has a nice selection of toppings to choose from to create your own burger. Their shakes and malts are awesome. French fries were decent. As far as your dining area and venue; it's a very nice place to hangout and catch sports games on the TV's. After reading a few reviews before making my own I would agree with a few people on yelp that as far as taste and quality Five Guys burger is the better choice. If you're ever on the west coast, hands down. In-n-out Burger takes the thrown! read more

I was hungry and I have been there before. I was less impressed that the hamburger was indeed the stated weight, so I ordered the double. It was filling, but I could eat it. One thing is consistent, it is way to greasy. The plate, the bun, a mess. You have to grab extra napkins as a necessity. Not my idea of a pleasurable hamburger. This seems to be unnecessarily so. There are many places you can indulge an occasional burger need without this level of a mess. read more

I love Burger Monger best place to eat at for lunch and would highly recommend ultimate bacon cheddah.

Very good burger place. I'm normally a 5 guys burger girl but this one does have a better/much larger selection of toppings and sauces. It's actually fun to pick each element of your custom creation. Hubbie had a burger with cherrywood smoked bacon fried egg and cheddar cheese. Very good! I had my burger with chipotle ketchup, sautéed onions & mushrooms, provolone. Yum Good freshness on the veggies and bun as well. Really good fries and we order extra crispy and they did them perfect! Worth trying read more

Not as good as it used to be. I've been going to Burger Monger for three years. It's always been worth it for the money to me. However, I've noticed that in the last few times I've gone, the quality has decreased. The lettuce used to be of better quality (dark leaves) but it is now shredded iceberg lettuce. The french fries aren't as good; they seem to be soggy and not "cooked" enough. There is more pink in the burgers than usual (for medium well). ******* I am also disappointed that the washable cutlery, cups, and plates were replaced with single-use plastic items. I noticed a sign near the fountain drinks that explains how "sippable" cup lids have been implemented in lieu of plastic straws. I appreciate the effort here to reduce plastic straws, but the company is ultimately taking a few steps back by introducing the aforementioned single-use plastics! I'm very disappointed by this. ******* read more

This is the yummiest burger joint and everything we have tried is delicious. Highly recommend.

Well I have been a loyal Monger since they opened this location. Loved it in the beginning and for a couple of years BUT I have now had 2 bad experiences in a row. Under cooked burgers. Online Ordering issues and the Fries changed! Sorry to say but this is no longer worth the cost for a burger. Hope they turn it around but I am done. Good luck. read more

Great meals. Nice variety of burgers they sell here. Love the environment and the employees are so nice too. The burgers and fries are not greasy like in other places like Five Guys or Checkers as a few examples. My favorite burger is the Jalapeño Snap Burger. Don't remember ever having an issue with this location. read more

Tonight is the first time I've ever dropped down stars in a review. We've been coming since it opened and tonight was a less than stellar experience. While we love the beef burgers that Burgermonger serves, my husband and I were both thrilled to see that Impossible Burgers were on the menu - at a premium ($9.99). We both ordered them - and when our orders arrived, they were not Impossible Burgers. Not only were they not what we ordered, but it was only when we questioned the server were we told that... well, they were actually Beyond Meat burgers. The staff - or at the very least, the manager, knew they were not serving what we ordered- yet attempted to pass it off and not inform us. At a premium cost. It's disappointing to know that a restaurant we used to love has chosen this path - fraud, plain and simple. Yes, we asked for a refund. Yes, we received a refund. (Not a full refund; just the cost of the burgers.) But your manager on duty broke our trust. I asked the manager to place a sign notifying other customers that there were currently out of the item. (But as the location has a computerized menu, it would be just as easy to remove it as to put it on in the first place.) Jake, not sure what has happened, but we are reluctant to come back after an experience like this along with what we have seen as declining service and disaffected staff at this location. As the founder, you should know. read more

This location was honestly great. My clumsy Uber Driver forgot to pick up my burger I called and asked them if it was still there. It was, they decided to heat me up a second burger so I wouldn't have to eat a cold one. Amazing service. The shorter lady at the cash register was so kind. read more

I'm disappointed to write this as we've been frequenting this place for the year that we've lived here. My husband fell in love with the Skirted Cheeseburger and he's gotten it every time we've gone, including lunch yesterday when we encountered a new and argumentative manager. First, the burger arrived with nothing on it besides cheese despite having all the standard burger dressings (lettuce, tomato, onion) on the side in all previous visits. When my husband politely asked a question about this, the manager told him "it doesn't come that way, you have to ask for it when you order." Ok, fine - maybe things changed in the last month or two. When our 4 year olds kids burger arrived, it was severely undercooked - mushy dark pink to red in the middle, very evidently medium to medium rare in some places. My husband took it to the counter and again super politely (that's his nature) asked for it to be cooked more because we didn't feel comfortable with our 4 year old eating it. Again, clearly irritated, she told him the burgers are cooked to Medium Well unless we specify otherwise when we order. He told her he understood that but this particular burger was Medium at best and more like medium rare in the middle at which point she took the burger from him, asked if he wanted them to remake it (yes, please), turned to the kitchen to give the order to do so and never once apologized, just walked away irritated. It wasn't just us - we witnessed her being very curt to other guests yesterday and on our prior visit a month or so ago, we witnessed an argument between staff and a customer that ended in screaming profanities. The burgers and concept of the restaurant are great, unfortunately the staff and quality of the food have gone downhill in recent months. read more

I ate here on a Friday night, it was a quicker place I've never tried and wanted to. I enjoyed my experience. The staff was helpful and the food came out fast. The portions are good for their price. I gave 3 stars because the atmosphere isn't super inviting but the workers are, so it's an imbalance. If you're wanting a quick dining experience with good-decent food this is your place. I would get takeout from here next time. read more

Met a buddy for lunch. I may have seen twenty (20) customers order over a forty-five minute prime lunch period. That makes me anxious. We both had Monger burgers loaded with our customary toppings, i.e. lettuce tomato, onion, & their specialty sauce. The one-third pound patties were cooked to order (medium & medium well), had nice chars, were juicy, & flavorful. Our side order of onion rings were breaded with (coarse) bread crumbs. There were only six rings to our order, for $2.49 (?). All together our total bill came to a little over $21, for two diners. The place is clean, spacious, & well staffed. Our ordertaker, Kyle, was very patient (first time patrons), engaging, & competent. We liked everything about the place except for the massive rub of the prices, i.e. couldn't detect any superiority in the Prime Kobe beef. read more

My sister ordered from Burger Monger using Uber eats, and we were both disappointed. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, while my sister and niece ordered burgers with fries. My chicken came in a separate container and was sitting in a pile of chicken juice. My sister had the fries and was immediately disappointed as it was soaked in oil. We both decided we wouldn't order from this place again. read more

Over all decent fast casual burger spot. Fries are great. They serve thin flat top burgers. They used to be better but they added a new type of beef to the menu called butcher blend, which is not near as good as their other signature beef. The two types of beef to choose from is a little off putting. The service at this location is top notch. The three stars had to do with the butcher blend beef. At a fast casual restaurant people want quality for a fair price and to raise the price of the good beef and provide a low quality beef for the price of the old burgers was not a move that made me happy as a customer. If I am going to pay more for a burger I would be better off going to a full service restaurant. read more

Took my parents here for dinner who are visiting from out of state. They really enjoyed their meals. I have a sensitivity to gluten and informed the young lady taking the order. Tried to verify that the fries were truly gluten free and fried separate from other items considering there was a sign above the fryer that read "gluten free" and she was clueless. She asked an older woman than her if the fries were safe and she looked puzzled and suggested I try the Mac n cheese. I passed on the sides. Burger came out tasting pretty good, wasn't a huge fan of the bun. Before I could finish my burger, my stomach was upset and I know my sandwich wasn't safe anymore. Celiac's beware! read more

Meh. First time eating here. Burgers were good. Not great but not bad. Just ok. Shakes were tasty, but small. When I say small, the cup they came in was about 1/2 shake and filled the rest of the way with whip cream. I'm no expert, but I'd bet real money the whip cream was just Kool whip. Was an ok experience but not likely to return. There's better out there. I have had better shake experiences at Sonic and Chic- fil-a. Place was pricy for what you got. read more

Sadly, this was not a good experience. I ordered a chopped salad with chicken. I was asked if I want everything on it .. which is not listed, so she rambled off what was on it. I asked for coleslaw on the side, not in my salad and blue cheese dressing. Well.. no tomatoes, no cucumber.. just lettuce, carrots, feta cheese and grilled red pepper strips ( which she did not tell me about and I would have removed). I also got a jalapeño dressing I did not want. No grilled bread that comes with. $10 ! Two burgers .. very small ... well done ( I asked for medium ) Small fry for $2.99 serves 1-2 people. My order was over cooked, cold and limp, and barely an order. The cashier was snotty when I asked to put on our burger monger points. She took the phone number and then said I can only do it in the app. I don't have the app, nor want it on my phone. I found my card and she said they don't do that either... just in the app. Why did she take the phone number to begin with ? She "just works here" and that's the way it is! Terrible from start to finish. I'll be hard pressed to return. To many other places ( including a new one in that same plaza ) read more

Well, we hadn't been to Burger Monger in quite awhile and won't be back ever. I had been looking forward to the tasty burger of a few years ago but this is what we got. The "chef" assembled the burger and thought it would be fun to put a river of ketchup and mustard on the sandwich and watch it all slither off onto the paper set it in. Of course the bottom of the bun was a slimy, gross mess which coated my hands. I struggled to eat it having to tear off copious pieces of brown paper to corral the mess. AVOID at all costs. The table became a swamp. read more

This is the 2nd time we have been to your restaurant and the 2nd time we have been waited on by Katlyn. She has been rude/unprofessional both visits, this time stepping away during our order to answer the phone and one time during mid order and mid sentence (wife selecting condiments for burger) to assist a customer who walked up for a to-go box. The first time we visited several months she made an error in our order and she came to find us at our table and required additional money, even though it was her error. I will not be back even though the food was good. Wdds read more

For being a burger place I thought the burger would be at least descent. The actual beef was dry and tough. The gluten free bun was crumbling and tasted stale. This was my first time trying burger monger and it will be my last. Waste of money! read more

I don't know if some of the other reviewers caught this place on a bad day, but we really liked the service and the food! We ordered our two burgers with all the goodies we liked from the long list of offerings, an order of fries and two fountain drinks. Okay, I'll admit, it was a bit on the costly side, but the food was clearly on a much higher level than so many similar competitors. The fries were excellently done--crispy on the outside and just right on the inside. And there were plenty on the plate. Our burgers were excellent for the type of restaurant. The meat definitely has a much better taste than most, and the condiments and bun were right on target. This is not McDonald's and it's not Bern's Steak House. If you'd like a change of pace every so often, give it a try and enjoy. By the way, the Manager, David, stopped at our table, was genuinely interested in our comments and was very personable. He explained the details of their 'frequent flyer' card that adds points for discounts and freebies and is an added treat. read more

We ate here after getting some good news from the hospital, but the burgers were only OK for the money. Perhaps it was an off day for the kitchen staff, but the quality was not there. My wife has crossed it off our restaurant list, which is fine with me. Our meals were not bad, but they were not worth the price. read more

Very clean restaurant with friendly staff. Two stars for the food and price They have a myriad of selections to let you create your own burger. I decided to keep it simple to let the true flavour of the burger stand out. I ordered the 8oz burger with lettuce, tomato, raw onion and grilled mushrooms, Swiss cheese and no condiments. A side of fries and a beer brought my total to just under $17. That ain't cheap, so my expectations were high. I got my beer took my number and waited for my food. The fries came out before the burger! How can you not manage to bring out burger and fries together? The fries were OK, reminiscent of 5 guys fries, if not a little over cooked and over salted. The burger arrived after a few minutes and looked good. The patty had the home made irregular shape and veggies were fresh. The cheese was well melted and the bun was fresh. The first bite revealed the truth, burger was overcooked I ordered medium and it was over-well. Overcooking greatly took away the flavor of the beef. The mushrooms were cold, not in the slightest bit warm. I found myself wishing for some condiments to give it some flavor, but didn't want to send it back. Overall, lots of room for improvememt if this place is to succeed. So many good places to eat in Safety Harbor that I doubt I'll be back. read more

I've been a huge Burger Monger fan since opening. Told neighbors and friends to try it. I would have said 5 stars. However, the last several visits in 2018 have been very disappointing. It feels like management and service standards have changed and quality. It used to be friendly, quick service. Now it takes forever and the food still comes out in phases (can't you bring it together?) and cold. I took my daughter today for a milkshake and burger for lunch. We were the only ones in line. It took 20+ minutes and when I got home, the burger was cold and had the wrong condiments even though the receipt clearly stated mayo and ketchup only. There was so much mustard it was dripping out of the sides. My daughter's milkshake was way too chocolately (yes, there is such a thing) that she refused to drink it and said it was yucky. I poured it down the sink. So $16 later I feel disappointed and ripped off. Not sure we will be back any time soon. read more

Service was spectacular. Counter help were friendly and attentive. Fun to talk with. Burgers are great and as good as what you choose to add. We love the fries and usually order one large and split it. We make our own fry sauce by ordering a side of mayo and mixing it with ketchup. You can't go wrong here. And then go downtown Safety Harbor for a shaved ice! read more
