Three of us ask for the Salmon and husband the NY steak

First time visiting this restaurant that is so close to me and never far away given the opportunity until finally. We went on a Sunday afternoon it was quite crowded especially outside on the deck, which by the way is spectacular the view and we could even see dolphins. Speaking of the excellent food, everything we ordered as a starter some wings in teriyaki sauce too rich and as a main course my husband ordered the New York Strip and I ordered the Salmon with majadas. Totally recommended both. The service of the waiter who served us was excellent, thank you Max N. for your attention and taking our photos. In summary, the place is perfect for couples or families very pleasant and fresh and the view of magacin.

Family vacation, first time here & all 10 of use for different things. Overall rating on food 10/10 Service 7.5/10 Ambiance was pretty because we were able to sit on the waterfront! We started with the Blacked bacon Scallops 10/10 I ordered the Fish & chips 9/10, my bf ordered the New York Strip 9/10 his only complaint "you never put butter on top of the steak, Gordon Ramsey would never do that lol" my sister and I both had the Mermaid Mojito 100/100!! This place was a great dinner spot, I was able to make a reservation by sending them an email. They were very accommodating for my 10 family members and I

Reading the reviews before mine, talked about how the food was great, service needed work... WHELP! Our waitress Jenny was AMAZING. No complaints at all regarding service, food, or atmosphere. We were a party of 9 and our drinks were never empty, plates from appetizers taken off the table in a timely manner etc. highly recommend this restaurant. The owner came to the table too and he was very polite. There homemade chips are FANTASTIC! Highly recommend all the dishes posted below.

We still love this place!!! Michelle and staff are stellar! Food is fabulous! Check it out! Also... the fancy holiday drink aka Spiced Cranberry Old Fashioned will blow your mind!

Listen.... One of my rare 5 stars...I've been coming to this place since 2004. This is Florida .... Sitting on the dock ... drinking, eating grouper... watching sailboats ... with some of the best bisque if ever had....sure they have some menu items that cater to local snow birds... but I would recommend saying on the seafood side. Service was great, great vibe... exactly what I expect from Florida... Grouper A Bisque A Nashville hot chicken C Drinks A

Amazing service; friendly staff and guests! The manager came by to say hi because he saw our little one and we also had a lovely chat with the table behind us. Feels like a neighborhood favorite spot for casual seafood right by the water. We waited less than 5 mins for a spot outside instead of indoors which was a bit louder/lively. Their menu has stars on their most popular dishes. For dinner, we ordered their fried calamari as an app, fish n chips and blackened mahi as mains, and a cup of lobster bisque. I'd come back for the fries alone; really nicely battered. We came back the next day for some key lime pie to-go and a bunch of their staff remembered us and have us a warm welcome. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

Rick was absolutely amazing! He made the experience from start to finish. He was wearing some birthday attire and we made sure to acknowledge his birthday. food was amazing as well, really great atmosphere and staffing. Thank you for a really wonderful lunch! Bathrooms were very clean and very beautiful as well. Also, the mashed potatoes (not pictured)- Really great!

Waterfront dining. In the shopping center with The Columbia, among other businesses. Dined inside and it was not busy. Quiet, comfortable. Enjoyed some french onion soup, calamari, house salad, grouper nuggets and peel and eat shrimp off of the "Happier Hour" menu. Next time I will go with more of an appetite. Tasted very fresh, light and flavorful! Max was our server. He was on top of everything! Be back soon.

We started with 3 orders of grilled oysters, 3 for $5 is still a great deal. The cajun seasoning and cheese on top made them incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. They were so good we basically decided to order a second batch the moment we finished the first. We also got the fried Brussels sprouts and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp was delicious with the sweet and sour sauce, and the brussel sprouts were just pure yum. We were so into the appetizers that we almost skipped entrees, but decided to share a shrimp po'boy. The shrimp was perfectly crispy, exactly what we were looking for. Overall, great location, great food, friendly staff, fast service, and happy hour makes it all that much better. Will happily return and recommend!

The first odd moment was at check-in: our party of two was asked to sit at the outside high-top bar, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. That would have been fine if it was consistent, but right after that another party of two was told they could sit wherever they wanted. It set the tone that we were being "managed" into a specific spot for reasons that weren't about availability. Food-wise, it was actually fine. We ordered tacos and the surf and turf, and both were solid enough. Nothing blew me away, but nothing was wrong with it either. Service was also fine in the best way, our server was attentive without hovering and checked in at the right times. The value, though, is where this place starts slipping. A big chunk of the menu being market price feels misleading in practice, because it makes it harder to know what you're committing to until you're already there, and the final cost landed firmly on the expensive side for what we got. If you're going to charge premium prices, the overall experience has to match it. Unfortunately, the biggest issue had nothing to do with the kitchen. Because we were placed at that outside high-top bar, we ended up sitting a few feet away from a salesperson "training" another person directly in front of the restaurant, and their conversation was loud, crude, and uncomfortable the entire time. It wasn't just casual chatter, it was grotesque commentary, including a loudly announced remark about what he had done in the bathroom, plus a running lesson on how to deceive people and other tactics that sounded like a timeshare pitch tied to Wyndham. On top of that, the guy was openly ogling women, which made the area feel unpleasant and honestly embarrassing to sit near. The kicker was when we left, the same person tried to sell to us on the way out, apparently not realizing we'd been sitting right behind him the whole lunch. I understand people need to make a living, but the combination of the language, the behavior, and the proximity to diners completely undermined the experience. I don't know what the relationship is between that sales operation and Salty's. If you go, ask to sit inside or away from the bar/patio traffic, and be prepared for higher-than-expected pricing.

The brussel sprouts appetizer is HUGE. It was double the size I have received at other places, so took some back to the hotel for leftovers. They also came with a tasty dipping sauce that was unique as well. The Caesar salad was neutral; no strong flavor yet not distasteful. No anchovies taste either. I could take it or leave it. The filet steak was tender served over some mashed potatoes and thick asparagus wrapped in salty, yummy bacon. The smoky old fashioned and expresso martini (with Baileys added extra!) drinks were tasty. Make a reservation online and Uber/Lyft if you are close as it's easy in and out!

We ended up splitting the seafood pasta dish, and it was more than either of us could eat, even after splitting it. Service was good for dinner. Martini was good, but the blue cheese stuffed olives were prepackaged from a jar. Breakfast blew us away. Every dish we had was great. I don't think you can go wrong. Breakfast pizza was surprisingly great and enough for two people to split. Service at breakfast was fantastic. The coffee was always flowing and the servers were always smiling. The atmosphere and ambience are OK. I don't love the vibe, as it felt like a dated dining room experience. But Food was still great. If you are staying at the Opal Sands, the entire complex has amazing food and you don't even have to leave. Huge benefit to staying there.
