Rude employees at the gas station. I happened to be using the restroom right at 9pm. Rude woman came in and basically kicked us out. I have a medical issue and can't rush things like that. I wrote the following letter to the corporate office at the address as listed. It was returned as undeliverable. I called the number for that office and heard the recording that no one was in and their voice mail was discontinued. Therefore, I'm posting this letter for all to see... My wife and hold Burger King and Carl's Jr in highest regard when buying fast food hamburgers. In fact, we first see if there's a BK to stop in. We love your Whoppers and Whopper Jr's. For that reason, while on the road to Portland, Oregon on Friday, 12/10/21, in Sandy, Oregon, at 11:30 am or thereabouts, we pulled into the Sandy BK. We decided to go inside to order since there 2-3 cars in the "drive through" and only 1 vehicle parked outside, and it was a Coke repair van. Inside we saw one customer waiting for his order. It was the Coke employee. We went to the counter to order and waited. And waited. We saw 4 people, one young girl rushing around, a young man who was in the area where food was assembled, another young man who looked lost, and someone who appeared to be working the window for drive through. After about 10-15 minutes the bored young man came over to help us. I'd just told my wife we were leaving, going over to Subway as here they didn't want to help us. Anyway, I show this person how I'd attempted to use the new Royal Perks and order online, but it wouldn't work. He looked up the number and said, "it's no good". Well, I'd wanted to upgrade the order but decided I wouldn't trouble him, so we just used our 2 Whopper Jr. coupon and placed the order. It was at this point that I saw the man by the prep counter taking 2 chicken patties from the deep fryer and put them on buns. Not thinking about it anymore I retired to the bathroom. When I returned the 2 chicken sandwiches were on the counter still. Then we waited and waited while everyone seemed to work in slow motion. I couldn't believe it. Finally, our sandwiches and fries were assembled, and we waited to get them. Finally, we were handed our order and were going out. As we left the Coke man, who ordered before us and was still there, asked if his chicken sandwiches were done and the employee took the two from the counter and gave them to him. As we drove off we opened our order and took a bite. The sandwiches were cold. Not cool, but COLD! Guess what. On our return we didn't stop at the Burger King in Sandy, and I don't know if we're all that excited about going back to any BK. In the past we received good food in a reasonable time by employees that were happy to serve you. This failed on all counts and if there's no oversight at BK establishments, there's no consistency. I understand short staffing issues, but this wasn't the case. There were enough people. This was bad management and no corporate or local oversight. I don't know how you can encourage me to return to BK because there are other options for good fast food. Just thought you might like to know. Ordered a chicken sandwich to go with bacon. They didn't package it to go and I pointed to the screen and told the lady it was to go and it even said take out right on the screen. She said sorry she was not paying attention. Then when I opened the sandwich, no bacon on it even though they charged me extra. This place is me and The Lady's must-stop place on our trips down to Las Vegas. The location is perfect as it is halfway between Reno and Vegas and the place is connected to a gas station and a really nice bathroom (which is sometimes hard to find on road trips). The food is decent (nothing too outstanding since it is fast food after all) and the service is quick most of the time (there was a mishap with the fryer that slowed down a lot of orders on our most recent return trip from Vegas). The service is fantastic. The person that helped us out both visits this last trip (I think she was the manager) was named Annmarie. The Lady is picky about her fast food. She only likes hamburgers with ketchup. No condiments besides that and no toppings. Annmarie personally checked her order to make sure it was correct when it came up. It was not right and she sent it back and got the correct order very quickly. That kind of service makes places memorable for me and as long as the service remains top-notch we will continue to frequent this BK on our trips to Vegas. read more

Food was typical Burger King which is good for fast food. Was told we cannot do two mobile orders through drive thru due to BK policy so one of us had to get out of car to go in and get their order, so dumb I don't get it, just beware. BK needs to rethink their policy, most places don't enforce thus but have been to one other that did. read more

Atmosphere - I know they had old pictures of Tonopah up, but now I can not remember seeing any of them. They had lot of promo stuff on the walls now. Food Appetizer - none today. Main Course - Had a number 4, Whopper Jr., with a substitution of sweet potato fries. Only 40 cents extra for them, so that was good deal compared to Sonic's tot. The fries were cold by the time we got them. The Whopper was tasteless, I don't know how they managed that. Dessert - no time. Service - Wow the staff really needs to learn how to talk to each other without the customer, me, hearing them talk. First problem was them talking about how they need to season them. Great glad they have no clue how to prepare my food. The other one is that I really do not need to know about tied red head and how they don't care for her. Maybe it would have been more interesting if I lived here. So now how bad their food delivery is. I watched my fries come up and waited for the burgers to be finished. One burger up, mind you we ordered two number 4's. Over 3 more minutes for the second burger to come up, how hard is it to make two of them at the same time? Since I was taking pictures I have time stamps of activities and it took over 10 minutes to get our food, with only one order in front of us, mind you I had no clue about the drive thru but clearly with the large staff working this should have not been an issue. Worst Burger King I have ever been too... Ordered a couple burgers, fries and a drink asked to have one my way like I always do (whopper w/ lettuce & pickle only add cheese) 10-15 min later finally get our food after a few people who ordered after us already got their food and left.. We ordered our food to dine in and saw our food on a tray at first. They got the burgers on it then an employee took the tray pushing the burgers off to the warming counter.. Fries had already been ready and waiting, a guy finally grabs the frys then puts our food together in a bag to go and yells our number. No surprise food wasn't to hot since they were waiting for some unknown reason to finally give us the food. My whopper is of course fucked up since it's so hard not to add sauce, tomatoes and onions... Two employees are sitting out with family or friends hollering and when a coworker came out to ask a question this loud woman who should probably be working lunges at him and he jumps back. Not sure why or if it was supposed to be a joke but threatening coworkers in view of customers just isn't a great idea.. I only see two of the 8 or more people actually working and the place a mess. There are no straws in the dining area, the ketchup is out and it has been this way at least 30 min now.. Employees were notified multiple times in just the first 5 min that we were here. There are flys all over and if i wasn't used to them in general I'd be extremely pissed about it but after living in a farm area I can deal with such things. I've stopped at this Burger King three times on my way from Las Vegas to Reno and back. One of the only fast food stops along the way. The service is absolutely terrible. My first time in an employee, apparently an off duty manager, came in street clothes and walked behind the counter and was distracting other employees while there was a line and was speaking loudly about her weekend plans. It is very dirty. There's food scraps all over the floor. Awful. Just awful. Go to subway. There's a reason that line is always longer. read more

Been in here once and that was good enough for me. The floor was disgusting had slurpee and fries all over the floor. The "manager" Rochelle came out to deal with a bad order and didn't acknowledge any other costumer or attempt to deal with the costumers waiting in line instead she just walked right back to the back. We were waiting in line for almost 10 mins with only a few people in line but thats because 3 employees just keep walking right past us. Wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here. Its very unsanitary and your food gets left out with flies flying all over it and no worker or manager there seems to care. I wish i could give this place zero stars. Terrible service. The shift leader who took our order (I forget his name) was friendly and our food came out fast. It was a simple order with no modifications so everything was correct. However, the chicken fries we ordered were cold, probably not the freshest but they weren't stale. Both women yelling order numbers seemed annoyed when the customer didn't grab it right away. The dining room wasn't as dirty as other reviewers have written but there was someone walking around sweeping it the whole time we were there. I don't know how corporate Burger King can allow this location to exist. The dining room is filthy; the entire room is covered in layers of grease and trash. I can only imagine what the kitchen area looks like. The management clearly stopped caring ages ago. It's incredible to see these shift managers be so rude to customers and loudly proclaim that they should "Go next door to subway". Employees are constantly arguing with guests, even when the employees are clearly at fault. There is one shift manager who kept trying to act tough in front of her staff and would not stop using vulgar language in her theatrics. The food quality is unsatisfactory. I frequently eat Burger King at other locations so this is not a reflection on the company but rather this location. Gloves were not worn by the cooks and watching them wrestle with each other and goof around while making my food should have been a warning. All in all, I can't believe this place can legally exist. Food is ok, especially if you are traveling or coming in from the remote country, but you'll likely have to wait for any service, whether or not it's busy. Usually an employee table with one or more of them just sitting there eating, like all the time, and others standing around behind the counter or certainly not working smart. Will ignore you at the counter and make you wait. I use to go every month or so and this last trip was aweful. First time we came through we came through drive - thru. Experience was good. Second time we came inside. Way different experience. Long line. One register person seemed new. Manager on duty didn't have any since of urgency. Manager also wasn't very friendly. Lobby needed some attention. Total time in line and to get food was 17 min. I think this place is just another example of a corporation making money while not caring in the least about their customers or their workers. They are constantly under staffed and yet most of the staff are friendly and kind of efficient. It seems like they don't train them and if somebody is sick today - oh well you just have to work harder. Its disgraceful! Try to be nice to the workers as I think most of them do the best they can with what they've got as far as support from their management. Yes I live in Tonopah and NO I do not know anybody who works there nor do I even know who owns the place. It just seems to me that they are making lots of money since I have to wait in line no matter if its at the BK or the accompanying convenience store or the Subway Sandwich Shop that is located on the premises as well.
