Had a surprisingly wide variety for the area! More like the selection you would find in a big city. Definitely worth stopping by if you're driving through Tonopah, as this grocery store is superior to anything you'd find in Beatty, or Hawthorne. Lots of beverage options, fresh produce, vegan/health food choices, & international fare. COVID protocols included sanitizer by the entrance, & plexi-glass shields around the cash registers, pickup/delivery options, but masks were hit & miss. Prices are spendy, but on par with other local options. Overall, I'd recommend, & will be back.

Loved their deals, especially coming from ROUNDMOUNTAIN. The workers are nice and helpful, and the store is always clean!

The grocery store is what you would expect from a small town - condensed inventory, but definitely has the essentials.

We were on vacation and making our way from one huge metropolis (Kingston) to another (Belmont)…read more After filling our trailer with much needed water at the rest area in Carvers, we stumbled on this town called Hadley, which is obviously a 'company town' attached at the hip to the Round Mountain gold mine. We were in need of ice and (ahem) beer, so we pulled off the road and headed into town. We found the General Store almost by accident because it doesn't look like your average Safeway or Raley's with huge windows across the front. No, this is a STORE which barely had windows next to the front door! Maybe it's because they didn't want to waste valuable wall space where shelving could be placed instead of pesky windows. Now the amazing part. They've got just about anything you could want in a 'supermarket' in this store. The aisles are a bit narrow, but that's so they can put MORE of them IN there! Lots and lots of stuff. Just the spot for RV'ers to restock anything they're likely to need. Ice, beer, even top shelf liquor. The wine selection is somewhat lacking, but I think most miners don't give a HOOT about wine. Lots of different brands of beer though (because that's what I think miners DO care about). And the kicker? The prices are not bad at all. You'd expect to pay a lot more when out in the middle of gosh-darned nowhere (like you do in, oh, say Austin), but not HERE. I'm thinking maybe the mine subsidizes this in some way, because this is really NOWHERE. Beautiful scenery all around, and that's why we travel out like this, but it has to cost a fortune to truck all this stuff in. The town has a gas station and the usual bars too, but this store has to be what sustains the lives of all these people. And we RV'ers who also need the services. Also, be sure to pick up a copy of the "Valley View" newsletter. It's a bi-weekly newsletter that will give you an idea of what life is like in a town like Hadley. Interesting reading.

Gayle and I were advised to gas up here on our way to the Hot Creek Ranch area (near Tybo)…read more There's a lot of "middle of nowhere" in Nevada, with the nearest fill-up often more than 100 miles away. As it turns out, the Shoshone Market isn't the only gas station in the area, but you'd have to go off the highway and into Hadley (the company town for the nearby gold mine). The gas pumps here are dated back to when I worked for my Dad's gas station in NW Iowa. The displays were very analog and very cool. Plus you need to gas up first and then pay inside. Also, while out here, one doesn't question the per gallon price. They also have a deli counter where you can get fresh made sandwiches, that were really good. Pre-made food is also available too, but we were glad that we went for the custom choice. There's also plenty of drink, chip, and salad choices. The people making our sandwiches were friendly, as were the folks up at the front counter. And yes, the restrooms were clean and a much better choice that rest stop facilities and isolated road side detours.
