We happened to stop in during a busy Friday night rush, and despite the crowd, Cody (who's currently in training) handled things really well. He stayed pleasant, composed, and professional the entire time--which isn't always easy, especially as a new hire in a high-traffic setting. I can't really say much positive about this place. Mood- Day Trip Fever…read more I was in one of my moods. That spur of the moment " Lets Go Eat and See Something Cool Moments" well it was snowing and was def an adventure this go around. As everyone knows with the hike in Petrol prices roadtrips and or any other trips are now something that people contemplate more than they did before. I was driving on the main road in Tonopah and saw this sign. So I drove up the narrow road to this small Petrol place with just 4 pumps. However the price was $4.09. No one was there. Everyone was down the street on the main drag paying at least $4.50 a gallon. This place was a perfect stop to fill up and save my wallet so I could use that money to EAT. When you drive up it doesnt look like the typical petrol place. There are 4 pumps that are do-it-yourself type from the 80s at least. However it reminded me of memory with my family in Oregon. You have to do it manually. Insert the nozzle in your gas tank, flip the metal lever up, and voile. Was truly a blast from the past type deal. Would most def recommend - pricing was worth it, no wait. Maybe because it doesnt seem to be true. Everything was clean despite all of the snow from when I went. There is a separate card reader at the end for you to pay. At the pump it is open 24 hours a day. Location is Tonopah - just go up the hill on Depot Rd you will see it.

It is missing many amenities, as it is on a dirt lot, with only concrete slabs where you fill up. It is open 24/7, but only has an attendant on duty from 8AM-4PM M-F. There is an old style credit card machine in the center of the pump area, where you slide you card. Make sure the magnetic strip is facing to the right, then select the pump you want to use on the screen, 1 & 2 are regular, 3 & 4 premium and 5 & 6 diesel, wait a few seconds for the screen to display approval, then go to the pump and lift the lever and pump your gas. If you want a receipt, go back to the credit card reader and slide your card again.

Our goal for our return trip was to fill up our gas tank, get some fresh coffee, and use the restrooms. Step 1. We had visited a different gas station on our westward trip, and tried that station again while traveling eastward. No luck. While they are modern, big, and had a lot of pumps, there were a lot of cars waiting and we didn't want to wait knowing that there were other options for gas in Tonopah. Step 2. The Super 7 (Phillips 66) was our second stop. We filled up our tank, and were pleased to find that Nevada gas prices ($4.899/gallon, regular) were cheaper than California's. The Super 7 prices were also competitive with other stations in Tonopah. However, in going in for coffee, we found that the coffee was in insulated pitchers and was lukewarm at best. So, we left without coffee and went to yet a third gas station for coffee and to use the restrooms. Success!

This is a great little spot centrally located in downtown Tonopah. It's directly adjacent to a…read morepark, there's even a covered spot with picnic benches if you want to stop there for with some nosh. There's even some trees for shade for the car. If you didn't bring anything with you, you can head up the street to the Mizpah Hotel and belly up to the bar for some cafe food. If that's too far hit the Mizpah Casino where you can get pizza for the kids and an array of drink options. Both are clean and lively! There's also a convenience store across the street for quick items. By far the cleanest washroom was in the Casino which is open 24/7.

Even though on a Saturday Jose was there. Told him the problem and said go to Napa and get the parts, show up tomorrow (Sunday) at 9am. Jose showed up and fixed us up by 12pm.
