I asked for a side of pickles with my burger and they said "no we can't do that anymore corporate said so". Is corporate in the room with you???? Anyway they said they could give me "heavy pickle" but these pickles aren't heavy. All I want at 2am is pickles and u couldn't give me that. Don't even care about the burger anymore. Sad.

So I get it, fast food... Burger King. Everyone probably automatically thinks gross but you know what? This place works for a quick dinner or lunch and always available for a milkshakes anytime of the day! Maybe not the best looking of food in the pictures but it's not bad all. The onion rings are always really good and I love their BBQ sauce! Yesterday my husband and I stopped to order Burger King for dinner on our way home. It was later in the evening. Nicholas took our order and he was just so kind and friendly. He reminded me so much of life in the South with the southern hospitality. He even said "hello" to us as we were waiting in the drive through for our food. We have been here a few times and the customer service isn't bad but it has never been this delightful! Nicholas, thank you! You really warmed our hearts last night with your kindness and hospitality!

Yes, I drove that long to sit at this place and not only have a lobster roll flight but a lobster corn dog as well! I would do it all over again if I had to because the moment that first buttery roll went into my mouth, I experienced a level of euphoria that I saw fireworks when I closed my eyes. I will be back for a full sized roll and the lobster bisque that I could not fit in.

We checked in and were sat down and told promptly to let anyone know if we needed anything and we would be helped. Went to order and there was some confusion amongst staff, and instead of taking our order then figuring it out, they had us wait and watch while they sorted things. Sat back down and realized we might have not ordered the lobby pop fried how we wanted but instead regular and went back up to change. Was charged an additional $2 when we had waited through the ordering scuffle and already paid $150. Food was brought to table in an okay span of time, and after drinking my soda, asked for a refill with one of the staff members that brought my food. She said I could go to counter and be helped - ironic after being told anyone could help if we needed anything. Know lobster is expensive, but felt it was overpriced for the experience we had. Seems as though they need to figure out if tables should be served or a kiosk system should be in place. Would not come back or recommend to anyone.

I should have just checked on Yelp since one of my Yelp friends gave this five stars! I have to concur because I stopped her with my co-worker and my husband for a couple of beers and have to say two things: 1) they have a great beer list that rotates frequently, 2) the bartenders are top notch. You know sometimes you go to a cool beer place and it seems like the bartenders want to do ANYTHING but actually give you a beer in exchange for cash? This place is the opposite and it's wonderful. Very helpful with the beer list, suggestions, tastes, etc. They are also quick to offer another beer where as some places it seems like pulling teeth to try to get a beverage. It was lively but not slammed when I was there but I can tell these guys would manage great even if the bar was two or three deep with customers. Yeah, I thing the Mash Tun is one of the best beer bars I've been to and in a place like Portland that is in the top echelon of beer cities, that is an achievement to respect.

Located in the Old Port they offer outdoor seating to expand seating. This restaurant is SMALL! Be aware that they only have stool seating, no low tables or chairs. We walked in and started looking for the rest of the restaurant and what you see, is it. Thankful for the seats at the bar. Menu is unique with various spins on the staple burger. We decided to share the Bacon bacon burger with some fries. Beers on tap, various signage with cows, chickens, and a pig to symbolize the variety offered. Bartender/server was social with all and happy to answer any questions. Gentleman I sat next to is a construction worker who's here for an extended stay while building says he's here twice a week the burgers are so good. We shall see. Burger and fries a short time after ordering. Burger was very good, bacon bacon bacon YUM!! Fries were crispy outside and tender inside. Billing is a first, NOTHING comes with your $20 burger, nothing! Fries are an additional charge. Unusual and costly. $30 total for a burger and fries is steep. It was very good, but not sure we will return.

The…read morehomemade corned beef hash is the star of the plate: big chunks of corned beef and potatoes, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and super flavorful without being greasy. You can taste that it's made from scratch, not scooped out of a can. The blueberry pancake is everything you want from a Maine diner--loaded with berries, golden on the edges, and fluffy in the middle. It's one of those pancakes you tell yourself you'll share, then somehow you don't. The fiddlehead omelet is such a fun local twist, with the fiddleheads adding a tender, slightly earthy bite that makes the whole thing feel special and seasonal. Service is friendly and efficient, even when they're slammed, and the whole place has that busy, waterfront, "locals and tourists together" vibe. Expect a wait, especially at prime breakfast hours, but the homemade corned beef hash, blueberry pancake, and fiddlehead omelet make it more than worth it.

Seats in relaxing booths plus plenty of stools. Servers very experienced and very friendly. It's a comforting environment. Their many loyal "regulars" are there for a reason. I've already got a few visits under my belt and liked them enough to have bought a souvenir mug. First visit actually reviewing was a breakfast trying the Hobson's Sampler with eggs, meat, homefries, toast, pancakes, and many choices among them. -- Scrambled Eggs: Nothing remarkable but no mistakes. Cooked just right, avoiding brownage and runny goopage. -- Homefries: Cut into non-cubes with heights less than the widths, achieving better crispness that way. Good variety of textures. Not much seasoning or onion, but solid homefries. -- Sausage Links (3): Standard. Lightly crisped, still juicy. Seems easy, but hardly anyone does them this well. -- English Muffin: I told the server to skip the toast, seeing there'd be plenty of carbs with the two pancakes, but she strongly recommended trying the English muffins, since they were homemade. Great flavor, great choice. Will have these again and I recommend you try them too. -- Pancakes (2): Fluffy and delicious. And big. Not elite, but really close. Enough that you'd have to go to 10 other places before finding one better. Just a great all-around place. No wow factor, but on every visit (all breakfasts), everything was good, right down to the efficient and friendly service.
