All fast food is bad. The only reason you would get it since it was cheap. Now it is not. Go if you need to.

Fast and respectful workers. I try to eat healthy but for fast food BK is my go to spot.

Quaint and uniquely Bavarian (German). A welcoming restaurant with a warm atmosphere. A very…read morepleasant staff, although quite American and no one wears lederhosen or has an accent. The beverage menu is extensive with an impressive variety of beers. I selected the Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Doppleboch - a "lightly oak smoked and malty amber lager." The food selection - appetizers, salads, soups, and entrees is an authentic German selection. I choose the sauerbraten with two sides - spatzle with cheese and potato dumplings with the sauerbraten gravy. The meal came out in short order after the beer. The meal was very good. The beef was a bit tough and the gravy was a bit sweet. Overall it seemed to not have been vinegar marinated for a week, although when asked, the kitchen stated they marinate in vinegar for a week. The potatoes dumpling with Sara gravy tasted authentic. The sparkle with garlic cheese was very good - some of the best I've ever had. I ordered German chocolate cake with a cup of regular coffee. It was a quite excellent slice of cake! The restaurant is very clean throughout. I would recommend it in this neck of the woods; while if in DC, consider going to Old Europe restaurant on Wisconsin Ave as another authentic alternative.

My father and I went to satisfy our craving for authentic southern German food. We were welcomed and immediately felt like family. We split a sample platter of jaeger schnitzel, sausages and sides. Very tasty. We took advantage of the great selection of German beers on tap. The decor is pretty basic, but the welcoming atmosphere by the owners and staff more than makes up for it. We will definitely be back soon.

We just awkwardly stared at each other until I started ordering. The ambiance was the same. It was loud and mostly clean. There was an "odor" in the air that I was not able to identify but I think it was the smell of old grease. Now the burger. I don't know if the meat is frozen or fresh, but it's a good burger. Was it an $8 burger? Not even close. I also purchased a small fry. They were cooked fresh, but I paid $4.75 for what I am fairly confident were frozen fries. The kind you would get a Wendy's. Speaking of, I think I would have rather had a Wendy's burger. It would have tasted about the same and been cheaper. In total, with a tip, I spent $19.52. A single patty cheese burger with American cheese and a few toppings. I travel all over the east coast for work. I love finding small local places to eat, but I won't be back to this burger chain.

Friendly service, really good fries, m'eh burger…read more There's a place in Ocean City, MD, known for their fries--because that's all they do. I feel like Boardwalk Fries & Burgers started out that way (they've been around in MD for a while but I can't recall how long). They maybe should have stayed that way. The fries are good but not worth the trip. Fresh cut, skin on fries. Keep it this simple, which they did, and you can't go wrong. The burger, which was supposed to be 1/4 lb seemed on the small side. The pineapple slice (got the Hawaiian burger) was almost tasteless such that I had to check a couple times if I there was still any in my burger. Also, the restaurant was very cold! I happened not realize that the thermostat was on the wall in front of me and it was set to 66°. That's probably fine if you're popping in to pick up an order but not fine at all if you're eating there.

We started with Potato Cakes with crème fraiche, they had a nice crunch, a tender interior with subtle flavor. I'd never had them with crème fraiche, it was a nice change and the mild tanginess with the creamy texture complimented the Cakes well. I ordered the Main Street with Weisswurst, a Pretzel and plain Spätzle. It was my first, the veal's flavor is understated in comparison to Bratwurst or Knackwurst (not on the menu) and was a pleasant changeup. The Pretzel was little disappointing while it was a decent pretzel, it lacked the crisp crust and distinctive flavor I expected. As evident by the rating while worthy of note, it's not a game changer. I'd ordered a large plain Spätzle, which was two regular portions, but was served Spätzle with cheese I tasted it and it wasn't my thing, which is not to say it was bad, I just don't care for cheese in dishes like that. Our server swapped one cheese for plain (my wife had happily stolen the other) and enjoyed the replacement. I found that the grilled onions gave it a nice homey flavor. Mistakes happen and it turned out to be a win in the end. We shared a couple of desserts and by far, my favorite was the Black Forest Cupcake. It's on the large side, they might be able to cut on the weighty crème icing, the chocolate cake and soaked cherries were a delight. The cherries are a significant improvement over the Marchinos I had before, if only there were more. Rathskeller can get a little loud, as it is a relatively small space with hard surfaces so voices reflect, it wasn't packed this afternoon, so it wasn't an issue. Waitstaff dresses very casually, it pleasant and fairly attentive.
