I ordered a double bacon king and got a whopper instead. I was very clear on what I wanted. I repeated my order twice,... but I understand we all get tired at work. Nobody's perfect. Or I guess it may have been a response for asking for hot fries.... Idk but yeah y'all slipping.

I get to the window, the cashier asked to see my phone. I later realized that she used 6000 of my points. I let that slide. It's ALWAYS people begging while pulling up I the drive through or once you're picking your food up at the window. Today, I specifically asked for 3 chicken nugget happy meals with extra fries in one and apple slices in the other, along with 3 #1 (Big Mac Meals). I had to ask for straws but once we arrived at our destination there was NO extra fries, they just put apple slices in ALL 3 happy meals and on top of that the apple slices were OLD. It seems they just given rotten apples and fruit to the kids. What made this worse and why I finally did a review was, they put tartar sauce on ALL of the big macs instead of big mac sauce. I'm too far and too annoyed to turn around. I just put some sweet and sour sauce on the big Mac to offset the taste. I've tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt but it seems they are becoming more careless. I would not recommend this location unless you're starving. Otherwise drive out of the city to another location. This poor service, poor food and lack of attention to details is NOT worth it. I know Ronald McDonald is turning over in his grave.

We've only eaten at Canes in Nashville but weren't overly pleased that time! This time wasn't much better. Our meals were definitely prepared quickly for as busy as the location appeared to be. We both ordered a 3-finger combo with fries and a large drink. The meals were NO WHERE close to resembling the meals in the picture menu featured in the order kiosk. The chicken fingers were barely the size of sardines and the fries barely matched the size of a kids McDonald's happy meal French fry (approximately 15 non-crinkle cut fries.) The drinks delivered were normal medium size drinks at any other chain... passed off as large drinks. The Cane's sauce tasted very diluted or watered-down. This was NOT a visit that would make us want to return to this location nor to the chain in another location. Absolutely NOT a $27 meal but most definitely an unexceptional experience.

Typical for a place like this it is loud, packed, and overwhelming. There are kiosks to order if you prefer not to talk to a person and the traditional registers where you have to talk to a person. Once ordered, you just wait around for your food and hear your name shouted. The food was dry, as expected. But for a quick-ish lunch, this place will do. It's nearly quick I should say, all dependent on the amount of people standing around in here.

You can request your dumplings to be either pan-fried or steamed, and you have a choice of their homemade dipping sauces (Ginger Soy Vinaigrette, Peanut Sesame, or Spicy Basil Chili). I had heard about this food truck recently, so the hubs and I decided to stalk them and try them out for a weekday lunch. We were a little nervous, as I noticed that they can sometimes close during rainy weather, but luckily, they pushed through the rain, which eventually tapered off! We ordered the Pork and Cabbage Dumplings (pan-fried and steamed; these had a more cilantro-like flavor to the filling) and the Crunchy Vegetarian (pan-fried; these were more flat and elongated; I actually really enjoyed these, as they were great with the Ginger Soy Vinaigrette; I first thought that there was some meat inside, but I'm thinking it's either tofu or soy protein?). It was interesting that the Pork and Cabbage had more of a stronger herb-y taste rather than the Crunchy Vegetarian. The Asian Noodle Salad didn't look like the picture on their menu; however, it was still simple and fresh, made with rice noodles, sliced carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, and crushed peanuts; much better dressed with the peanut sesame sauce! The Veggie Fried Rice was tasty, especially adding the Ginger Soy Vinaigrette to it! I also tried their Lemon Ginger Tea, which I appreciated it not being too sweet. The staff here are super friendly, welcoming, and honest! They serve it up around various places in the NoVA area, so just check their social media to locate where they're at for the week. It used to be the spot for me and my friends to grab a quick bite and everything about it was exceptional: who can say no to super affordable yet authentic street tacos served on paper plates. Sadly, it closed. Last night, I think I stumbled across a taco spot to finally take the wheel from our dearly missed El Chilango. Taqueria Al Lado is very no frills and a tiny spot, but it has tacos that make your heart sing. My friend recommended the Al Pastor so I got that with a chicken taco as well. Both were super flavorful, fatty, but really fresh and well balanced. The key here is simplicity and they do it perfectly. Each taco was about $4 or $5 if I remember correctly, so it's a great spot to grab food if you're trying to ball on a budget. We got the guac, too, which was good but not life changing; the fresh chips, however, were spot on. As far as service goes, we went on a Friday and it was super busy, but there were plenty of servers if we needed something (just had to be vocal). I will definitely be coming back!

On our way to another location on H Street last Friday, one of my colleagues pointed to H & Chicken (H&C) and said it should be our choice for the following Friday. So, we made our way back to H Street this Friday to check out H&C. Let me get to the point and say we had absolutely no serious regrets about anything we ordered. Although we had to park about two blocks from the location (IYKYK), it was worth it. When we arrived, there was a small line. But, it was moving pretty fast. When we got to the counter, the person taking our orders was very helpful at offering suggestions. If you don't want to go to the counter, there are kiosk where you can place your order. The one negative comment that I have about this location is that people who came in and placed their order(s) long after we did, received their order(s) before us. So, I don't know if there are any specifics into how they manage getting their orders out Outside of that, the food was really good. Each of us ordered just about the same thing which included chicken and fish. Where we differed a little bit was on the sides. Just about everybody ordered the M&C. Some of us ordered, french fries and greens, or potato salad, and greens. When you order the chicken, you automatically get a biscuit. Unfortunately, that is not the case when you order the fish. (OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPROVEMENT) So, some of us had to order a biscuit on the side. Overall, everything we ordered taste really good. However, I will say the noodles in the M&C were slightly overcooked, and there were a bit more stems in the collard greens than I would have preferred. But, the taste for both the M&C and the collard greens was on point. The fish and the chicken (including the mumbo sauce) gets a thumbs up. Everything was seasoned and fried well. It is my understanding H&C is open until 5 AM. So, if you're having a good time at one of the local establishments on H Street and it gets a little too late to go to a traditional fast food location or one of the restaurants on the corridor, I wouldn't hesitate to give H&C a try. The only thing I would be mindful of is there is limited space for dining in. So, you will probably have to order, grab, and go. I do want to note one important thing. If you are going to H&C for the Thursday and Friday chicken wing special, the H St. location does NOT honor that promotion. You will need to go to the Hyattsville location for that. Everybody in our group agreed that we will be returning. Happy eating!

Honestly we were so pleasantly surprised by how good the burgers are! I had the Capital Burger which had such incredible flavor and the burger itself is thick and juicy. My daughter had the wild mushrooms burger and she loved it -- the aioli had the perfect tang to go with the mushroom and Swiss, both burgers were cooked perfectly medium as requested. The old fashioned was just your typical old fashioned with a slice of candied bacon attached to the outside of the glass. We were hoping for something smokier and a little different but it was still a very good Old Fashioned. We shared the chocolate mousse and it was perfection. Yum! I could not identify or really pinpoint where the black truffles came in, but the beef was well seasoned. The additions were a dollar too expensive across the board so I skipped those. The fries were sort of stereotypical, nothing really fancy about those. I debated about having the truffle fries, but didn't really wanna pay the extra three dollars. Bless my server, he didn't know what black truffles were, either. The Reesie's peanut butter cup Skrewball milkshake was quite good. Good use of Skrewball. Could've done with a little more alcohol, but what a great combination. Good taste. Vanilla ice cream and peanut butter all the way through. My only .. concern.. were the pickles. There's this NoVA chain restaurant that serves POPCORN before the meal, which I think has to be the most depressing, unappetizing, lazy and cheap way to start a meal. Capital Burger servers sliced sweet pickles in a jar. That.. is a step up from popcorn, but not by much... If I was in the mood for a burger and boozy milkshake, this would be on the list, but not my first choice.
