Okay, so my husband and I went here because of reviews seem to be pretty good. We did not have burgers but my husband ordered the chicken strips. The order was for 4 chicken strips for $4.75. We assumed the strips would come with fries.... No, in fact I am pretty sure it wasn't even real chicken. I ordered the creamy tomato soup. Not so creamy, but very runny, then about 2/3s of the way through I bit into something that I truly do not want to know what it was. We both ordered a cup of coffee assuming since this is also an Espresso place that the coffee should be fairly decent, we are regular coffee drinkers so we ordered just the regular coffee. First cup was so cold we thought it was iced - so we took it back to the counter. The second cup was from a pot not an air pot like the first and that pot must have been sitting on the burner for 3 hours. Yuk! Over all our experience was not good. read more

A great option for kids! Good burgers, great fries and a full ice cream counter! The kid's meals come in cool car boxes. The place is modern, clean, the people were friendly and it made for a great stop along the highway. We have an RV and parked along the side street...super easy. read more

I'm from CA visiting family in Libby. I seriously am in love with the bean sticks and 'Huckleberry' Shakes!

Burger Express Libby, MT...what can I say other than this was really the worst fast food experience I have ever had. Our visit was at 7:45 pm on a week night. Dinner rush was clearly over as there were only 3 tables occupied in addition to ours. We did not use the washrooms during our visit, so I cannot comment on the cleanliness thereof. The main dining room was clean with the exception of several dirty tabletops even though there were 5 workers visible in the front of the restaurant. We were a party of 3. We were staying a week at our new vacation house to do the move in and we did not wish to cook after working so hard all day. We ordered a single deluxe burger, two double deluxe cheese burgers, 2 fries, 1 sodas and 2 shakes. The price was a little over $35. The young boy behind the counter taking our order was impatient and rolling his eyes at our slow ordering even though there was not a line up of people waiting to be served. The food was not FAST...we waited at the table for over 13 minutes. When the burgers and fries did finally arrive they were NOT hot. In fact, my burger was definitely not at an appropriate food safety temperature of 120 degrees minimum for rare and the meat was undercooked in the center 60% of its diameter ...so much that it was cold meat - - - I did not order a rare or underdone burger, nor was I asked to what degree of doneness I desired. I do not expect fast food items to be gourmet, but I do expect to find it palatable and at a safe temperature at the very least. The whole time I was wishing I could make the cook in the kitchen eat the food he prepared for me so that he could have felt the same about the temp and the quality. I wonder how he would have felt spending over half a day's wages (Montana is $ 8.30/hr in 2018) for such inadequate sub-par and mediocre food. We have several friends who live in Libby full time or for the good weather months. The next evening we were dinner guests at one couples home. We told them we ate there and about the experience and their question of us was: "Why ever would you have done that?" Apparently this establishment has a reputation with the locals for this very level of service and quality. I can say that we will not eat there again, and when we create our "local information" book for our vacation rental guests, this establishment will make the "Black List". Burger Express needs to step up their game or better yet, remove themselves from it. read more

Typical fast food dive. Better than McDonalds. Ice cream is good. Some not so nice staff.

The food isn't too bad honestly. I like eating there. Just be prepared for the wait and the bill. I have waited in there drive through for over fifteen minutes, the only one in line, and i only ordered one thing. I ordered a chicken ranch wrap with no lettuce and they instead put olives in it. It doesn't even come with olives in the first place. Usually they are pretty good about not mixing up orders but it can take a very long time. And forget getting a meal like McDonald's. Everything is individual, you order a burger, ask for fries and ask for the drink. It doesn't come with it. And yes, the price for just the burger is probably more than a whole meal at McDonald's. And they don't serve tomatoes anymore because they're "too expensive." Oh and if you did want fries, always get a large. There large is about the size of a small at McDonald's. If you order a small you will get about ten fries on a good day. That said, they have pretty good food, the billy goat ice cream inside is amazing (if you get a milkshake, get it from the billy goat ice cream, not from the regular ordering counter...they're way better), and the building looks very nice inside. read more

This is mainly to address a previous review from Coolbead G, In the summer the ice cream section of this establishment is the busiest and anyone working there is constantly under a lot of stress and has to have a lot of patience. Usually there is a drive threw order as well as a line inside and almost no one to help this section as the others as busy as well. Milkshakes in general take a long time to make and this may be why she asked you out of courtesy if you had wanted something that was relatively fast to make, the only reason behind that is so that if it was she could make it for you while making her previous shake order and not have you waiting for a soft serve cone or something. Otherwise for something else like a frappe as you previously mentioned would take a while. Also when being rushed as im sure they constantly are it is easier to make things at one time like flurries or frappes for that matter to save time on everyone's part. Im sure she never ment to seem like she was chastising you but was trying to playfully let you know for next time to make the experience better for everyone. It seems like you never have worked in a fast paced food environment before else you would be more understanding to the conditions is which they work. Besides that comment i find the this place has great food and a good environment. And on my experience the girl working in ice cream most often has always been friendly and patient with my big family and still keeps a smile on her face even when she seems very busy and maybe slightly overwhelmed. I think this place has great service and is worth checking out when passing threw town. read more
