long story to come, I am just extremely disappointed...
We went to Happy's Inn for my absolute favorite artist and have been looking forward to the concert for MONTHS! Based on what some family members said who have very recently attended a performance, we showed up three hours early to be the first ones in line (totally our faults and we recognize that). My mother in law stated she saw a big artist a few weeks prior and their show started at 6:00 pm, I believe and she showed up at 4:00 and she wasn't anywhere toward the front of the line. With this in mind and the fact that our tickets stated the concert starts at 6:00 and this was an artist who isn't quite as popular, we showed up a few hours early, at 2:47 pm. We walked into the bar to get a drink and some food before the concert started. The second we walked in, we were somewhat rudely informed that we would not be able to stay as the bar closes at 3:00 (again, that's on us, we understand their protocol) but we asked the bartender where we could get food and she stated she doesn't know (again, that's okay, it's not her job to help us get food since the bar was closing). HOWEVER, once we started to sit in line, we attempted to ask MULTIPLE employees for some guidance and answers to what time the gates opened, where to get food, where we can park as we were informed that staff isn't really certain where we could park, and other general questions since we are coming from Missoula. I recall us asking three different personnel some questions as there were many staff members just lounging around, and we were treated very rudely with little to no guidance. I understand maybe not knowing the answers to our questions, and that's completely fine, but I do not feel that after engaging with, let's say, 10 staff members after us being there for two hours at this point, we should have been shrugged off by at least five employees with no regard for the fact that we simply just wanted answers. We asked one staff member where we could park and she stated that she was not aware and she could not give a definitive answer (i'm sure we have all been there trying to let somebody slide by without getting in trouble with our employers). Anyway, I personally encountered two or three different eye rolls from staff. I am truly embarrassed about this as we were coming from Missoula, MT, and we met several families from out of state. If these families were treated with the same disrespect that we dealt with, I feel very sorry for the taste that these Montana workers left in their mouths. The drink system of the entire place was pretty bogus. I asked FIVE different staff members how to get a drink. I felt as if I came off as rude to one of these workers so I apologized profusely and this gentleman stated "just go get a ticket for a drink" as I was mid apology (I was maybe four seconds into my
apology and nobody was behind me). Of each of these workers, they all stated I needed to go elsewhere for a drink ticket. I finally received an answer and bought some drink tickets ($8 per beer FYI, moderately average) and continued to receive attitude.
I understand that each of these workers were potentially very busy from higher ups and likely
understaffed, but many of the employees we talked to was before the large crowd showed up were incredibly rude.
I am so sorry to go on about this, this is the first review I have ever left anywhere but was truly upset at how we were treated throughout the whole night. We did meet an amazing staff member, he worked for security and his name was Dan. I recognize I must have annoyed him throughout the night as he was the only employee who actually took the time to answer my questions and knew what he was talking about. If you get the opportunity to meet Dan, he will make up for the rest of the disappointing personnel.
Needless to say throughout this novel of my complaints, I will not be returning to Happy's Inn and will be dissuading my loved ones from attending events here... read more
