The staff, food and chef are golden! French dip, exquisite! Burger, basket delicious!

This restaurant is great When you order a turkey sandwich here, they carve it right off the turkey! The soups are hand made and are delicious . The potato salad does not come from a bag. I haven't eaten anything yet that wasn't great. The ambiance is old-fashioned diner or non-commercial truck stop. The crew is very friendly and courteous. I usually sit at the counter on the stools which always takes me back to the Woolworth's Lunch Counter of my youth. If you are hungry before 2 pm in Libby, I highly suggest that you try Diane's You won't be disappointed. The only thing I can criticize is that they are not open 24/7!! Diane's a throw back to a what seems like a better time and place. The food is completely homemade and it is delicious. I had the roast beef French dip with a salad. The roast beef was homemade and not purchased pre cooked. The salad was freshly chopped, no bag lettuce for Diane. My husband had the turkey club. Fresh roasted and perfect. The fries were hand cut and plentiful. Our perfect lunch including one Diet Coke total $19 plus tip. Bring a sweater, it is freezing inside. I love Diane's. read more

Can't recommend unless all that you want to pay for is their homemade soup. That's all that's worth mentioning. Hard to mess up grilled cheese but it was dripping in grease and the same with the hamburger. read more

You will find the best sandwich around at Diane's. All their meat: turkey, ham, roast beef are fresh roasted and carved up right there. My favorite is the turkey club: Moist flavorful turkey breast, just like you remember on after-thanksgiving leftovers, crisp bacon, savory French bread. You can get fries, but skip that and go with the home-made potato salad. I get a sandwich here every time I go though town. You should stop by too. read more

What a great surprise! Very friendly little café. There's an award on the wall for the best hamburger which always makes me skeptical. I was wrong! It was fantastic. Great flavor with all the right fixings. You had your choice of fries, potato salad and something else. I am a snob of several culinary issues and items and potato salad is is close to the top of the list. I asked if it was made in house and she said it was. I had it and it was fantastic. I have only been to Diane's once, as my lunch is only an hour long and to be honest if you eat here you may want to call in ahead of time with your order. I know I will next time. They were so busy. My friend and I went for lunch at Diane's not that long ago and we were extremely impressed with the food. The french fries may be the best I have ever had and the potato salad was fantastic! Our food took nearly the whole hour to come out. My friend had a burger and I had a cold sandwich. The Waitress/owner was very apologetic and made things more than right with the bill. I finally tried this place a month ago for lunch and I must say it was amazing! We both had the ham sandwich and ham and potato soup special. I wish they were open on weekends as I can't always get away from work to go have lunch. I will definitely be back! If you can't find Diane's, definitely ask someone. I had been driving by for two years before I even realized it was a restaurant. Maybe that's just my poor observational skills, but I highly recommend this place! read more

We stopped in while traveling through town on the way to Kootenai Falls. Great find! Wonderful sandwiches and soup. Everything is fresh made, not from the can. The French Dip was fantabulous. Vegetable beef soup was a big hit, and the fish sandwich and chili cheese fries also brought happy smiles. Service was incredibly friendly, and the prices were great. Clean place and restrooms.
