This is the review you should read -- it's truthful I was looking forward to trying this spot because of the hype, and the other "reviews". First of all I do have to say I love the little way it's set up. I appreciated the details and cleanliness. I was excited when I first got there. Service is decent. I got asada tacos, the c burger (the cheeseburger with raw onions and the works) and seasoned fries. The asada tacos were not good at all. I ate one and couldn't eat the rest. The meat was over cooked. Dry and not seasoned well. To be honest it tasted old and just not clean. Now the "famous" burger : I didn't even finish it. Meat was over cooked and dry. Thin like a "smash burger" but over done. Flavor definitely was not there. I had to toss it. The fries were good at first but the more I ate them the more it just got too salty. I didn't go alone but we both felt the same exact way. After leaving, our stomachs were not happy and we just felt gross. I ordered spontaneously (DoorDash) after checking out their menu in search of a smashburger. They had them in singles, doubles etc. And each patty was huge I think 1/3 pound. I got a single and it was sprawling! Hanging over the sides of the bun in a very delicious way. It was really good and fresh, I will customize next time, I think there was relish and I'm not a fan. Then there was the fries, and they are a generous serving, but that's just the beginning. They are the crispiest, most flavorful fries I have found. Better than fancy steak house fries. Then the number of positive reviews exploded and decided to take the time to eat here. Had BB double cheeseburger, chicken tacos and seasoned cheese fries. Chicken tacos unimpressive. Seems like an after thought. Fries themselves were good. The meat was dry, didn't really do much for it as a whole. Overall, just OK. Burger was the only thing that was decent, but not something I'd come back for. The best part was the crusty edges of the burger when it wasn't charred and not burned. Overall, the nicest thing about this place is the amount of food that you get. They should probably stick with their burgers. Finally had the opportunity to try Burger Blvd today! Ordered in person and noticed they have a taco Tuesday special: 3 tacos for $5 (pork or chicken). Tried to get two orders of the chicken tacos but was alerted they only had enough for 3 tacos. Opted for pork tacos for the other set. The double cheeseburger is huge! I'd say 1/2 is enough for lunch and the other 1/2 for dinner. My husband thought the grilled onions were overly sweet, so next time I may order without it unless they also have raw onion. The single cheeseburger is large as well. Since these are smash burger style, the meat hangs outside of the bun and slid out when you picked up the burger for a bite. Lettuce is shredded rather than a whole leaf. They had chillies so orders one of those along with our meal. Overall, impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. Super clean and prompt service. Unfortunately, it wasn't until later that I learned the cashier rang me up for taco combo (which comes w/ drink, chips & salsa). I'll have to pay more attention next time. read more

This is a serious burger. Not with the whole toppings bar thrown at you... not with the speed of drive through chains.... No, they took their time and made a GREAT burger. I came with my family / group - 9 of us - for the first try. Straightforward menu for burgers - we all got single or double cheeseburgers and most got their combo with the seasoned fries. Seasoned fries were ON POINT - batter style crispy and thick, hot fresh and salty - great flavor and crunch. The special sauce for dipping was enough to take them over the top. The double cheese - two 1/3 lb juicy smashed patties easily overlapping the sides of an ample bun. The patties were thick but not too much to bite. The edges were dark and crispy - that mallard reaction had done its thing and man it was good! Smoky flavor similar to flame broil. Piled high with grilled onions, special sauce oozing into every crevice..... Salty mildly sweet with savory meaty flavor bursting in every bite, and the crispy crust of the burger edges adding texture and flavor. If you are the kind of person that worries about how much you get for your money (will this fill me up???) get the double. I was in town trying to find a good bite to eat. Yelp led me here. So friendly and kind. Service was excellent. Food was so fresh I had to wait a bit for it to cool down. I love the indoor/outdoor patio setting. Right next to a gas station so that's a plus! I can confidently say I will travel back here, that's how good and fresh and friendly they are here at Burger Blvd. They do carry Pepsi products for my Coca-Cola lovers, know this. What a hidden gem! As a Redlands local I have watched a lot of other restaurants come and go at this location but *knock on wood* this place is here to stay! The location is beautiful. I love what they've done with the space they have to make us feel comfortable and the place enjoyable to eat at. The staff behind the counter are so sweet and nice. You can tell they put so much love and effort into every plate they make. The prices are reasonable and the portions very filling. Now to the food: *drumroll* The burgers are soooo good! They use a special house sauce that is similar to thousand island. Sooo good ! The fries are crunchy on the outside and moist and soft on the inside. I love the seasoned fries. They make cheesy fries too along with other food items. I wish the place was opened after 8pm but if that's my biggest complain you know you gotta check out this spot! read more

Before I review this cow pattie joint, let's murder a sacred cow: IN & OUT. I've been a few times over the last decade or so. Once to try it. Pretty okay, not phenomenal by any means. I then went twice more because I was on the highway and it was a better idea than McDonalds. (Getting in a car accident is a better idea than McDonalds, but I digress.) Tourist friends would visit and insist on trying the iconic chain. I'd warn them that it was good, but greasy, and not the best. They'd leave happy that they tried it but agree it was over-hyped and over-rated. When I lived in Pasadena I preferred the local CA burger legend, THE HAT. When I took people there they agreed that you left with a serious yummy smile, although to be honest the burger wasn't as great as the fries and the entire experience. It's like being in a tasty burger factory from the 1950's and if you're not careful they'll bury you alive in fries. My preferred local option is THE HABIT, but I must confess the burgers at the Redlands location somehow aren't as good as the THE HABIT in South Pasadena. And those aren't worth an hour drive, lol. So you think some little nobody joint called BURGER BLVD can't touch IN & OUT, THE HAT, and THE HABIT, right? Riiiiight? Think again. Let's get BB's fries out of the way. They're kinda crispy double fried, which makes them wonderfully CRUNCHY but somehow not as potatoe-y as I&O or THE HAT. But they are good and you won't have trouble finishing them. Baby it's the burger that embarrasses the big name competition. I got a BB Double Cheeseburger and there's absolutely no reason to go the aforementioned chains. Simply a DEE-LICIOUS smash burger on a roll that doesn't fall apart on you -- down to your last bite. The caramelized onions are subtle but on point -- and -- the special sauce actually is special. IKR? This isn't gourmet, mind you. Just plain the best 'normal' burger in town. If RAISING CAINS served this burger they could end CHIK FIL A and IN & OUT. (Did I mention CAINS smokes over-rated CHIK FIL A? Pull up a chair...) The service at BB is friendly but the dining patio is indoor/outdoor, so eyeball the weather before you go. If it's too hot or too cold, order to go. And the 'hood this place is in may inspire some 'to go' order anyway. DEAR UNIVERSITY OF REDLANDS -- this is your new joint. Trust me. If you're poor college students -- two thinner students can easily split the double burger and fries combo, which isn't a thing at IN & OUT. (THE HAT, yes.) I chatted with an owner about a veggie burger offering. That may be on the way. My partner in crime and I haunt THE HABIT for their broader menu, but I assure you this burger has broken my 'habit'. Please, if you're vegetarian and you're watching your friends go wild, find the owner and politely twist her arm for a veggie burger. UPDATE Despite being on a permanent diet and trying to avoid this exact type of place, I've been back twice. Once was the obsession stage, you know? Like I had to try it one more time to make sure I wasn't crazy. That time I had a single instead of a double to make sure the double wasn't the reason for the love affair -- and it wasn't. The 1/3rd of a pound single was perfectly satisfying and just as tasty. The twice was promoting this place to my new plumber. His 'tip' was a double burger combo and only once he bit into it did he understand why I crossed town to get it. (It's like giving someone a Birthday cake.) read more

My family loved their burgers! My daughter even said it's a better burger than in and out! I got a burrito ( working on my cholesterol), it was great. The house made chips and salsa- yum! What looks like it may have been another fast food hot dog place. Check Yelp for burgers & tacos menu. Short & simple to the point. BB Combo 1/3 pound beef patty, lettuce, pickles, grilled onion. house sauce, tomato slices on side. French fries like them, better than in n out, and a canned Dr. Pepper. I should have eaten there because the fries were getting cold. But the burger is definitely juicy, and brioche bread with all the fixings was still delicious. including fried jalapeños. Great service, and thanks to the cashier for suggesting the BB 1 patty combo. Must check this place out if you live in Redlands. LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT BURGER...full of flavor. I really liked that the meat was wider than the bun, and the bun was thinner than the meat patties. Also the bun never got soggy. Burgers at most places, the buns are way bigger than the patties and they get soggy and fill you up quick. Your not going to get none of that here. The fries were perfectly fried and stayed warm the whole time I was enjoying the burger. And those asada tacos were really good, meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked... I'm a huge fan of Burger Blvd. Hamburgers are such a simple thing that so few places get right, and BB knocks it out of the park every time. I entertain often and smashburgers are my go-to crowd pleaser, I grind my own beef, I practice all the time, etc etc, but I feel outclassed by Burger Blvd every time I go there. Sadly, they are a little out of the way, but I consider it a destination. The service is very simple and to the point at the counter, and the food comes out quite fast. Ambiance is a bit rustic, basic park benches underneath an awning, but to me it hearkens back to a simpler time of burger stands and is thematically appropriate. Go check them out! read more

Cashier was friendly and welcoming! Anyways, I ordered asada fries got home and received nachos. They were good I've had better at the ball park down the street. I wanted fries so I called the spot and ANN answered. Said I could come back and they would remake them. AWESOME!.... Minutes go by and I received a call from them so I answered. (Weird) ANN stated that there are cameras and I ordered Nachos and asked if I'm sure I said fries. I said yes do the cameras have audio? At last! Someone who can make a burger!!! Ordered a combo, dbl cheeseburger w grilled onions. Onions were sooo caramelized and delicious!!! The burger was better than their picture. It was so big I chose to deconstruct as I ate. By default it's not overly sauced and that's a good thing! The patties are obviously hand made and very tender. Shredded lettuce, thank you!! Now the fries...Wow! I ordered them well done and they were perfect. I ordered a batch of their seasoned as well and the seasoning wasn't overpowering. For the size of the combo, price wasn't bad.
